  1. Because our Tylor Perry transferred there for "greener NIL pastures" and they're now with us in the NIT. Abou Ousmane, who transferred to Xavier is also playing in the NIT. We would have won many more games, easily qualified for the NCAA Tournament, and probably made a very good run if both of those players remained at North Texas. They should have been star players on this years Cinderella team in the tourney, but have been relegated to the role of forgettable journeymen in mediocre seasons at their current schools. It's a high price to pay as they will both miss the tremendous exposure they would have received. Oh well.
  2. LSU tickets are being sold as General Admission for $20 each.
  3. The NCAA revised the NIT selection process this past October. This article may clarify what opportunities we may or may not have. REVISED NIT SELECTION PROCESS
  4. Damn. It looks like SMU is gonna lose to Temple.

  6. Sky Blue is one of Tulane's colors along with Olive and the blue unis look outstanding. Our colors are Green and White but we wear other irrelevant colors instead. Tulane's only uniform issue is that they've revised logos so many times in the last few decades that vendors have had trouble keeping up with the changes. The Angry Wave is current, but you'll still see Riptide the surfing crane, the Bacon T, and their baseball Pelicans on new merchandise.
  7. Sometimes he plays far too "polite". He's a nice person and that gets carried into his game.
  8. True. Mo Green doesn't have the mental acuity of a toddler. The other guy does.
  9. Do we also need to send Mo Green to tend the rabbits?
  10. We should never wear anything other than our school colors. If we have to wear black, yellow, orange, or any other goofy colors, only wear them against teams that we can easily stomp.
  11. No, our team did, and we have the results to prove it.
  12. A message to Sports Illustrated. This is a chunk of marble carved and painted to look like an apple. It may be a beautiful piece of art, and look incredibly like an apple, but all the sad misdirected ideology in the world cannot turn it into an actual apple. It is a piece of stone.
  13. Well hell yes, a sack of potatoes would be better than what we've got, and the remaining competent option makes mean tweets.
  14. So, is he putting his name in the transfer portal or not? Maybe we need to sic Emmitt's personal stalker on him?
  15. Seeing Sports Illustrated die is a lot like watching Old Yeller get shot. It was once a beloved mainstay of our sports culture as it reviewed the past weeks biggest events, previewed the upcoming, and made superstars of those that graced its cover. Unfortunately, like Old Yeller, it was infected with a horrible virus (wokeism, not hydrophobia) that made it toxic and it needed to be put out of its misery.
  16. The American icon "passed peacefully" on Monday night, a statement posted on his official X account said Tuesday. The singer announced in June 2022 that he'd been diagnosed with stomach cancer and was "receiving chemo, radiation and surgery." "He fought his fight with grace and courage," Tuesday's statement said. It's a sad day for the people that love this country.
  17. Actor Carl Weathers, known for a wide range of iconic film and TV roles, including “Rocky,” “The Mandalorian” "Happy Gilmore" "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind" and “Predator,” has died. He was 76. Weathers “died peacefully in his home” on Thursday. A cause of death was not revealed.

  19. Yes, we wore our Green uniforms on the road against a team that made the NCAA Final Four and had their whole roster return. We lost by ONE shot, and were in good position to even win the game. It's further proof to absolutely NEVER WEAR BLACK UNIFORMS UNLESS WE ARE PLAYING AN AWFUL TEAM THAT WE CAN EASILY DESTROY. And even then it's still still stupid. If we had worn black we would have lost by 15 or more points. Yes, it is that big of a difference.
  20. Where are all our SMU trolls? Would they be missing if SMU had won?
  21. The Final Score already did.
  22. Reese was kind of overshadowed his senior season because he graduated the same year as Louisiana QB's Arch Manning and Eli Holstein. Reese Mooney was also a star baseball player at Denham Springs outside Baton Rouge. He chose Liberty over many traditional football powers because the Flames coaching staff guaranteed that he would be permitted to play both football and baseball.
  23. Question for Cooley or any of the other more knowledgeable North Texas sports historians. Has Rubin participated in more North Texas victories than any other athlete in any sport in school history? If so, is there anybody on the current roster that could surpass that victory total, (Aaron?) and who are other athletes, in any sport, that could be close?
