    The bottom 4 teams in the LSC also play each other . So all the teams play two extra games . For what who knows ? WT played McMurry and ENMU played A&M Kingsville . WT and Eastern meet next Sat. for 5th place. As a side note WT finished 2nd but had to forfeit 4 games for use of an ineligible player,

    I think you have it right, each school is allowed to set the amount of money they will pay the players.

    I agree QB play was not the problem . It seems that since the kid is from Iowa some posters have been on him since he arrived in Denton . Most of the comments made against him have been without a legitimate basis.

    The Aggie running game was outstanding also.

    Because of playing so many schools in western time zones and the loss of playing other Texas Schools , a move to MWC is a very bad idea.

    There is a set minimum number of players selected from each classification, 5a,4a, 3a, and so forth. In addition to athletic ability there are other considerations such as citizenship and academic achievement.

    I think they just started their football program 4 or 5 years ago.

    WT had two more players sign yesterday.

    Right the NFL used to have 17 rounds in the draft. So the players that would have been taken in those last 10 rounds are now taken as undrafted players. This year ,so far, West Texas has had 7 players signed.

    Seems to me, that giving an unproven head BB coach a muti-year contract that extended beyond two years is where the problem began. I can't help but think that there are plenty of young and upcoming coaches that would have jumped at the chance to Coach at UNT with a two year contract and 3rd year option.

    Perhaps not mid-major talent in the class room .

    UNT has chosen to follow DII basketball , recruit nothing but Juco players and well traveled transfers . Will never develop a consistent winning program until they take the time and effort to coach high school recruits into college players . The truth is that even Mitchell did not help the program to any large extent.
