  1. Funny, thats not what the parking agreement they signed said.
  2. Buy The Prarie Years and The War Years by Carl Sandburg. Extremely well researched, and since it's written by Sandburg, very enjoyable to read. It is actually a six volume set, but it can be commonly found as either two large books, or one huge tome.
  3. Uh.. Let me see... You! I've had to delete your posts before, when you posted accusations at coaches with no evidence. I know you have a problem with the coaches. I know that pretty much every post you make is an underhanded comment about them or their team under achieving. In fact, when we say the soccer team had a big win, you rush over here to say it wasn't that big a deal. You are friends with some of the players, but by your own words, you are not a fan of UNT. If you are not a fan of UNT and all you do is come over here and post negative comments, you are going to get banned, end of story.
  4. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! If you are not a UNT fan, why do you keep posting?
  5. Of course, since the police don't seem to have any investigative powers of thier own 1) The Denton Police don't do us favors: Mean Green players (like players in every other program) do run afoul of the low from time to time. If they need ot be arrested, they are. I can think of 2 in the last four years alone. 2) Coach Dickey isnt exactly Barry Switer: If a Mean Green player has done something wrong, he gets disciplined. If its major, he is out of the program. I can think of a WR and LB that would have started for us that where booted because of serious problems. Rcade, your being paranoid. If there was a history of either one of the above not being true, then there would be a problem. I would rather run a clean losing program, that a winning one that cheats. However, incidents in the past have always been handled the right way. The fact that neither Brewster nor Smith had to post bond, and that they haven't been released from thier scholarships, tells me that the police and the coaching staff have looked into it and discovered any serious wrong doing. Now they are probably going to catch hell from the coachjing staff, their will be some punitive measure sthrown thier way, and just like in the past, I don't expect Coach Dickey to adrress those in public.
  6. Hey! Lets not call the kettle black... we all know the wild stories of the UNT bowling team
  7. You are assuming he: 1) Knew the guy had a gun 2) knew the guy was firing that gun in the bed of his truck 3) fled with that guy I have to assume that if the police believed he helped somone who was shooting at a police officer escape, he would be in jail. Since he isn't, I have to think the police on the scene didnt assume those three things.
  8. North Texas athletes go to class like everyone else. I'ver had several athletes in my class, most of them have done better than I did Before we get all judgemental, lets remember these people are young adults, and are going to have some lapses in judgement, lets compare thse "offenses" to a young Cerebus... let's say, Cerebus at 22: 1) Blew of a class or two *cough*or a whole semester*cough* Check! 2) Drank too much and got a little punchy Check! 3) Out way too late, and some of the people there probably where not model citizens Check! Now, of course every single athlete is representing the University, and needs to be smart about everything and take care of thier commitments. But as long as these are simple slip ups, and not indicative of some deeper problem, let the coach handle them.
  9. Lets remember this is one persons story, the story circulating earlier said that the punchee arrived to the party uninvited and then refused to leave and become argumentive and insulting. Thats going to get you punched 90% of the time. Lets wait till the police figure it all out before we pass judgement. Dickey has no problem suspending or kicking players off the team, if there is a problem here, he'll take care of it.
  10. Grade Problems! We might as well kick off Buckles and make sure Lineberry and Ruff never suit up then. They speak for themselves after all...
  11. We Don't. Welcome to Locksville. Now go talk some football.
  12. This thread is getting old and repetitive, I am locking it, unless your name is Darell Dickey, don't even both asking me to unlock it. Word to the wise, I don't want to see another Smith-Hall thread until after the Baylor game.
  13. I haven't been here very long, so haven't seen most of those players, but I was surprised to see Chris Davis so far down the list.
  14. Gonzalez, he knows the offense, isn't afraid of contact, and is probalby better than some of the guys we started in the not too distant pass. Byerly needs to redshirt, he has some serious potential.
  15. Do NOT post someones personal info on this board.
  16. Link to 6 game suspension. Jim Brown tells Clarett to "Swallow it [the suspension] like a man, stand up, represent yourself, choose your best option. You have another year.", link to Jim Brown.
  17. Ok, let me just warn. I do not want any baseless speculation. I dont want anything stated without a link. Even if you have a link let remeber this is the life of a young man we all cheered for. This is going to have a very short leash. DO NOT post anything that has anyone's personal information on it. Misdemenor charges where filed against Kevin Howard, he professes his innocence, and like everyone in America, he is innocent until proven guilty. I have met and Kevin he seemed like an intelligent young man. I think the best thing to do is to let this lay and hope Kevin future is biright and successful, whether or not he plays for us again.
  18. That's enough fan boy. Keep flaming and your banned, if you come on this board, come to talk football, not trash.
  19. Put me down as a no. He's come away from OU, SMU, New Mexico and now Baylor with something not smelling right.
  20. They are going on two years of probation, at least. If I understand the NCAA rules correctly, that means any of thier players can transfer w/o sitting out. Anyone know if that is correct? IS there anyone at Baylor we would want?
  21. No. There is nothing official to report as of yet.
