    Man your stepping on some toes accusing the older boys of influencing the yougsters into bad habits. I would love for the test results to be posted. You can bet the boys know who they are... To insinuate the bench sitters = positive test is wrong & insulting. I wish the positive tests would sit. We might win some games.

    another Mahan fun fact: Started the season in Oklahoma with 6 tackles, one of our ONLY two tackles for a loss and two more than 2 of the starting linebackers. Against Arkansas with very little playing time, had 4 tackles and a fumble recovery. Where is he...

    Most of his tackles were while playing linebacker, not special teams. The numbers reflect SPEED, understanding the defence, persuit angles, along with an "incredible" desire to make plays. From what I understand he is the fastest linebacker on the team.

    Does anyone find it strange that Colt Mahan had quite a few more tackles with CONSIDERABLY less playing time than Monroe or Mendoza?

    We do have a current player who is the grandson of one of our former All-Americans, who just hapened to be the room mate of Ray Renfro.

    Yes, it's Colt. He and his Grandad are both very proud of each other. His Grandad prefers to be considered an 'Eagle', and jokingly gives Colt a hard time for considering himself 'Mean Green'. I hope I don't stir something up saying that!! The North Texas pride is very deep in this family.

    One of our current players' Grandpa was an All American center and is in the NT Hall of Fame. Anyone know who the player is? He also has a sister who is a senior at NT. Anyone know who his Grandpa is?

    I watched practice yesterday. I was very impressed with the new DC. If you go watch practice, you will see what I'm talking about. I think he'll be a real shot in the arm, very postive, full of energy, and a stickler for detail.
