Glad you noticed, FFR! I was never suprised at his stats.

Most of his tackles were while playing linebacker, not special teams. The numbers reflect SPEED, understanding the defence, persuit angles, along with an "incredible" desire to make plays. From what I understand he is the fastest linebacker on the team.

Does anyone find it strange that Colt Mahan had quite a few more tackles with CONSIDERABLY less playing time than Monroe or Mendoza?

Meager looked pretty good considering the protection he had.

Quincy Armstrong was all America in 1951 and is Colt Mahans grandad.

We do have a current player who is the grandson of one of our former All-Americans, who just hapened to be the room mate of Ray Renfro.
