UNT Media Day was held in the Club Level of the new Stadium. Coach Mac spoke for about 25 minutes and then everyone moved to the field for the team picture and interviews.

The Mean Green welcomed the Idaho Vandals on August 31, 2013 in their season opener. This game celebrated the 100 year anniversary of North Texas Mean Green Football. The UNT All Century team was recognized at halftime. UNT won the game by a score of 40-6. It was a very hot day with temperatures reaching 106.

C-USA held their media day in Irving, Texas on July 24 at the DFW Marriot Hotel.

UNT held a Friday Night Lights football camp that attracted over 400 high school prospects from the region. Dallas Cowboy Ring of Honor recipient Drew Pearson gave a motivational speech prior to the start of the camp. It was a great day for North Texas and we thank all of the players and their families for participating.
