They’re better than 8 other teams on our schedule. Means nothing if we don’t start playing better but we absolutely are capable of winning a decent amount of games this year. Now let’s play like it and not be the team that South Alabama fans wonder how they lost to us.20 points

yeah thanks for watching. I realize it is very long and i wanted it to be shorter but got carried away a little bit. I think in the future I want to maybe take a little poll on a play we can look at and then I'll try to look at it a little more in-depth.6 points

If anyone really wants to know what the real Athletic is reporting, it's that the PAC12 is after Tulane and Memphis. Others the PAC 12 are looking into are UTSA, North Texas, Texas State and South Florida. Current as of Wednesday. 9/18.6 points

Our first game win over USA....looks better... The Jags are beating Appy State 28-0 in the second quarter.......in Boone, N.C.6 points

"To meet NCAA and CFP requirements, the league must reach eight full members, a reason that the Pac-12 — and/or its consulting firm Navigate — is in discussion with three other American Athletic Conference members: South Florida, Tulane and UTSA." Facilities, basketball, and olympic sports are all great...but if you didn't believe it before, this makes it crystal clear that football is the sport driving everything. To see UTSA mentioned as a desireable candidate alongside Memphis, South Florida, and Tulane instead of UNT despite our advantages in most all other areas of university and athletic department is obnoxious.6 points

Here's an exciting thought: move the student section and DJ ADHD into the wing section and call them the WingNuts. This section will be exclusive for students, creating a festive environment that's sure to attract attention. Run a ribbon of LED lights around the wing that flash and pulsate to the music, and have t-shirt canons fire t-shirts into the wing after every score. Put our dance team up there grooving to the music to help create a party-like atmosphere that keeps everyone engaged and excited. If you watched last night's App State broadcast, you'll recall that their endzone section was wild, with students sliding down a muddy hill all game long. The ESPN sideline reporter and the camera guy even joined in on the fun, and the TV booth discussed it at length. It created energy and excitement, and the cameras loved it. Next, replace the current student section with our massive band. Seriously, put the band directly behind our opponent's bench and beat them down with the sweet sound of Fly Like an Eagle. Make it impossible for them to communicate on the sidelines and watch as they scream at one another in confusion. We're a music school damnit, so let's feature our band front and center on TV, harassing and frustrating our opponents relentlessly. Keep the opposing fans section next to Boomer so they'll continue to leave games with Grade 1 concussions and PTSD.6 points

I am over 65 and I do not understand this issue with walking across a bridge. Is it really that hard for someone 45+ years younger than me to walk a mile? I have been to games in Austin, College Station, Norman, Boulder, and many other locations and had to walk much farther than the distance from the old Fouts lot or the Dorms for that matter to attend football games in 90+ Weather on many occasions.6 points

I just don’t see Texas State, Louisiana, Middle and Georgia State as “apples to apples” equals to Memphis, South Fla, Tulane and utsa. Maybe this is a hoax.5 points

Can you imagine WSU and OSU basketball going to the UTSA 2A high school gym after they have been playing at USC, and past Pac facilities?5 points

Memphis and Tulane are definitely NOT joining the Pac 2. UTSA is just being the whore that they are and lifting their skirt to see if they can get a couple more dollars in the tip jar. I don't think people understand how desperately broke they are. Memphis and Tulane are in direct contact with the ACC who is telling them what they need to hear.5 points

Fun little post for some lighter chatter. I find it funny 4 MWC teams apparently hate Fresno State yet Fresno State claims no rivals.4 points

Good idea. When does our administration become innovative? People love to spend money at sporting events, especially after a few drinks and when they're happy after a touchdown score.4 points

Disclosure: I know it's hard to find any information on Twitter right now that isn't just pure speculation. But admittedly, speculating is fun. I have long been in the boat to move to a rebuilt Pac-12 as long as there were enough teams to have several travel partners this far east. But there's been some rumblings that we aren't pursuing moving conferences again. I assume our exit fee may not be paid for, but also rising travel costs are being considered. The strong rumors now are Memphis, Tulane, and a combination of UTSA/UNLV/USF. While losing our next biggest rival after SMU, leaving Rice as our next closest regional rivalry, would suck, there should also be considerations about basketball taken into account for how the AAC can keep up. If the PAC gets at least Memphis and Tulane, I assume UNLV (and there's even talks of Gonzaga/St. Mary's for basketball), the AAC needs to not only go after Air Force, but work on doing its part in annihilating the MWC. We need to go after Nevada, Utah State, and New Mexico - three NCAAT teams in 2024. (If you really want to irk some Mempiss fans on Twitter, you could even argue these moves would replace the "dead weight" in basketball.) We are in our greatest period of sustained success in men's basketball and we need to reward our coaches and players - we should be in a conference where 22/23 regular season + conference tourney wins gets us into the NCAAT even if we don't win the conference tournament.3 points

On Monday I mentioned I wanted to do a video on the stuff we saw vs Tech and I did so. I planned to keep it at like 30minutes but its like an hour and ten.3 points

Honestly, all my worry and hand wringing isn't going to do a thing. I will cheer for us because we are North Texas wherever we go. I hate the constant movement, the greed that has taken over the sport, the inability to watch a young man develop over 4 or 5 years and everything else college football has become. I now cheer for the name on the front of the jersey.3 points

"Get Texas State, ULL, MUTS, and Georgia State" Sounds like a CUSA re-do. I'll pass.3 points

As the time goes on...10 years?? I'm not advocating either way. But money today is better than tomorrow. It's all speculation anyway.3 points

South Alabama has a pretty good Defense. What this shows me is that if our Offense can have even close to "that" Chandler Morris performance, we can score points on anyone left on our schedule. The problems will continue to be if our defense can step up. The worse our defense plays, the more the Offense tries to "make up" for it and then pushes too hard and makes mistakes.3 points

What is next? The players get money in their NIL account for every touchdown, interception, sack, ect?3 points

I don't get the Texas State love if UTSA gets the nod. Why go after two schools basically in the same market? I can understand one or the other but both makes no sense for one conference if you're trying to expand your media footprint. Highly doubt they're both in play together.3 points

Well its a G6 conference now, and forever will be,and we should only go if the financial numbers work. However we need to be invited first, and if UTSA is instead it just proves our presence in the Metroplex is invisable and means nothing.3 points

Not gonna downvote because I'm not going to shoot down someone coming up with creative ideas, because we need those... but this is crazy. Makes me think of how crazy "tip culture" is getting.3 points

Probably added to it as well. Whatever the case, I felt like Tech was locked in ready to play. I have a hard time believing that was the same Tech team as weeks 1 & 2. Obviously having Tahj Brooks helped too.3 points

Funny thing about UTSA. What have they done successfully in FB or BB, other than when Frank Harris was QB ? They look pretty bad this year.3 points

Sigh. At the very least I hope we’re able to renegotiate full-share distribution after Memphis, Tulane, and UTSA leave for the PAC.3 points

Yea, traveling to New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, south Florida twice, and North Carolina twice is so much easier. And where else have we traveled lately for non-conference basketball games? The Bahamas, Boise, New York, Massachusetts, and wherever in California St Mary's plays? And where do we play on the road in a few years? Oregon State. Y'all have to drop the travel angle. Our conference travel takes us just as far, just on the east coast. Our non-conference schedules take us just as far, just in non-conference play. Travel can not be perceived as an obstacle.3 points

Another DJ? DJ ADHD would never approve. He doesn't want any competition when he is playing 5 different songs in 10 seconds. He doesn't even want to let the band play.3 points
