  1. On the Softball broadcast, they interviewed Hodge, and he mentioned we have several official visits lined up in the next couple of weeks.

  2. Are you sure Buggs starts here? He’s never played D1 ball before.

  3. On the lighter side. If you turned on the game, you might have a hard time realizing the Mean GREEN were playing the BLUE Raiders

  4. This seems like a great match for us. Reading the bio ; I am excited about his academic success and hospitality minor . Likely a very UNT like personality and good character. Plus added frontcourt depth.

  5. IMO two of our most personable and likable athletes in recent years have been Mason Fine and Tylor Perry

  6. You'll have to forgive MTSU. Their blue uniforms were stolen in Ruston at the end of March. They only have black uniforms for the rest of the season.

  11. Where does Stone fit in on the equation. He got a lot of playing time. Does he elevate his game like Ruben did last year.

  12. Another guy with a lot of experience. Hodge making a statement they are just reloading and not rebuilding.

  13. Originally a three star (.8333) prospect out of The Avalon School in Maryland as a high schooler with offers from ECU, Rutgers and Virginia. Great size at 6’6” and 307 lbs. then. https://247sports.com/player/kevin-kalonji-46082257/ Rivals showed that he was a DT out of high school with a laundry list of P5 offers. This could be a real find. https://n.rivals.com/content/athletes/kevin-kalonji-251707?guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAGUZC5U8wehHh2qz7FgLujctJuf0mw-28EQnWuc0iEMrjpPDYqcUFTlzdovRDv40EwbokPJ5OVJYO5QTz9hxoiUUpmuf293yBHGkO-0ZnN-Ui28yKZuxnuZh2EE9bIRMWHCCFVGd2XkB4tkNXMVWN0ayUJj7aeF70bKXVZ40Mgnm&view=pv

  14. If he has a growth spurt and keeps working on those ball skills, it's for sure possible. He had flashes when he played this past season.

  16. Last series of the regular season starts tonight! I plan to make it out this evening and Sunday. UNT needs a sweep and Charlotte to take 2 of 3 at home against UAB to take the #1 seed into the conference tournament. MTSU is 4th in CUSA but still owns the best overall record (33-15). Average conference play compared to us. Took 2 of 3 from LA Tech and WKU but got swept by Charlotte and lost 2 of 3 to FAU. Swept UTSA but didn't dominate, only outscoring them 11-3 over three games. Plus we have the huge OSU win to keep building from. GMG!

  20. Well he went from a double digit scorer to averaging 4 points and 16 minutes a game. So yes, you are right that he is SEC caliber because he played in the conference. My point was that had he stayed at Samford it looked like he was on pace to be an all-conference player but instead was a part-time starter at Ole Miss and transferred again. In my opinion, he likely would have been a better off staying and developing in the Southern based on his trajectory there vs at Ole Miss. He looks like a solid pickup for us, as he had good block and rebound numbers at Samford. He might end up being a bench piece and not a starter but that’s ok, as we always need solid depth.

  26. I see your point. 6th/7th man playing good minutes this season while taking the next step the following year….possibly upping his minutes late this season. I’m here for it.

  28. I would take La Tech over Charlotte. La Tech has a lot of good, loyal fans and are very competitive yearly in most sports.

  29. The first time I saw him play I couldn't believe how big he was. 6 foot 6inch guard. He scored 2254 points, he was amazing.

  30. Phenomenal defensive and pitching effort. Only 3 baserunners for MTSU and two of them were cancelled out by double plays. Charlotte shuts out UAB tonight. Need to finish out MTSU and now Charlotte/UAB need to split their last two.

  31. While not a flashy commit, does fill a need. Does he push for the last starting spot? Maybe. Right now I’d say its Buggs, Jones, Scott, Sissoko. I think you’ll want someone who can score to fill that last spot tho.

  35. Following a thorough national search for the position of Director of Athletic Bands, I will admit I know very little about her job, but this seems like an underwhelming hire for the high level many hold the Green Brigade to.

  37. Just relaying what the commish said Good for LT, but I’m not going to equate one amazing day of giving as the same thing as the long term commitment to the AD The number looks great. Maybe LT is making a decision and committing itself, but it’s too late for the American.

  39. These writers really failed Gunnell by not linking the obvious decline in his performance to the timing of the injury he sustained. It was barely mentioned. They just focused on his trail of schools, almost like mocking it.

  40. It was a great turnout. I'm guessing 500-600. Anyway....the area that it was in....was jam packed. Abou and Tylor were both there. Tylor, Kai, Rubin and Aaron all spoke. There was no surprise "I'm staying" comment from Tylor....but he and Abou both got nice rounds of applause. The women's golf team was there...and they're awesome. So is Coach Akers. And one final thing............WAIT TIL YOU GET A LOAD OF THE MEAN GREEN FIRE TRUCK. Coolest thing I've seen in years. Someone will post photos I'm sure.
