  1. Good film. Athletic and aggressive. 7’ wingspan and only 2nd year of playing football. These are the kind of factors you want to see when there isn’t much of an offer list.

  2. Was able to watch some highlights O Line was bad and receivers dropped several Quick release He stayed calm under pressure During their 9th game, the announcers commented his completion percentage During the 4th quarter for the year was 81% Glad he will be here for the Spring. If he's not the day 1 starter then someone on the team has really stepped up.

  3. This won't a popular post around here, but I'll say it anyway.... FAU exposed the fact that this team lacks the size and talent to be the best in C-USA. We are a scrapy team and we play some solid defense. But, we are the 2nd best team in C-USA. Maybe we can land a spot in the NET. McCasland has to bring in bigger and better talent if we are going to compete in the AAC next season. It's that simple.

  5. Well, they're eating habachi in the IPF with a chef and there were 12 salad plates set. So, unless 5 or 6 coaches are eating with them there are more. But close this deal. All of em. I want them all to be graduating UNT alum in the future.

  6. Should have won that one. I put it on the coaches. This dribble until their are 5 seconds left on the shot clock offense is horrible. We have to go to Scott more often and encourage him to be aggressive. Abou has become a liability. Stupid fouls in the defensive end and indecisive/soft on the offensive end are not good qualities. On to the next game. I trust our staff to fix this.

  9. The new coaches really seem to be going hard recruiting the DFW area! I like the exposure in area schools.

  10. So just like the first game against FAU, UNT leads most of the game but can't finish in crunch time. We gotta get someone to help out Perry with scoring in the last 2-3 minutes of games.

  11. Techs should trigger auto reviews and if the player/coach is right, no tech.

  12. Really don't know how FAU got invited into the AAC. Other than their Florida location they have minor league facilities and lousy attendance.

  13. This could be the perfect beta concerning the transfer portal. He is truly a development project with a strong up side. Now if we put 35lbs on muscle and he maintains his athleticism, can we keep him? Check back in 2 years.

  14. If you use Twitter, and have the chance, like and comment on the post from our coaches, players, and especially recruits. Social media is important and while I'm not saying it will make "the" difference, it helps.

  16. You have an option on the bench in Christian Moore but he never plays. Even with wins, this offense is painful to watch

  17. Abou was a non-factor today. Their 7-footer has neutralized him in both games. Although I think this may have been the most balanced we’ve looked in the scoring department, we STILL go to a “Tylor or nothing” in crunch time

  22. Do you mean for exclusively students? The UNT/La Tech basketball pre-game party last year the Alumni Association threw blew this out of the water. And it was cold/miserable weather that day. Still props to FAU. That looks like an awesome event.

  23. I’m up early smoking a brisket, so I have a lot of time on my hands. I just watched his tape and I was impressed by his run blocking. He is not afraid to get in a 3 point stance and block down on a LB or DE. I liked the effort he was giving on runs that were several yards down field. He was still sprinting downfield looking to make a block. His pass blocking was not bad against the small DEs he was facing. I imagine he will need a year in the weight room to add strength for blocking FBS DL. Overall, I think he has a lot of potential. This is a good pickup for 2-3 years down the road. One other note, the RB he was opening up holes for is a highly ranked prospect in 24. Bryan Jackson, averaged 128 yards a game and 2 TDs. I see his top 6 schools are OU, Michigan, UT, USC, Tennessee, and Baylor. So Desmond helped contribute to this RBs success.

  24. I'm impressed with the number of visitors that have already committed elsewhere but are here to see what we are doing with current resources (this new coaching staff and conference) late in the recruiting season. Let's get a few. GMG

  26. Well- we know players make the plays but coach design them. End of games have been awful this season. Really the second half of most games— that is on the coaches to fix!

  27. It's the omen that erased all doubt. WE NEVER HAD A CHANCE. Here's me upon seeing that we decided to lose the game by wearing the trash bag uniforms. It's a certified fact that when the black attire comes out, so does the voodoo. The real question is, why are we wearing anything other than our school colors in the first place? .

  28. Hard to beat a team thrice. Maybe we'll see them in the conference tournament with the homecourt advantage.

  32. I have yet to see an UNT tailgate look like this. FAU got their Greek life involved and this is the result. They won’t all make it in, but it’ll be more than would have without. Need us to do something like this to get more people interested in the basketball program.

  33. Of course. Like, retweet, send an UNT related gif, whatever. Just don’t be weird.

  35. I'm going to receive 200 downvotes for this, but this reminds me a lot of when Chad Morris took over SMU. He and his staff went absolutely crazy on Twitter. I don't recall how well it worked but everyone knew who they were and that they meant business. I, for one, support this attack 100% and excited to see the impact that it has. More so, I hope that it sustains year after year until this place can recruit itself. Then do it some more!
