  4. I was listening to the podcast “Unnecessary Roughness” and they gave UNT a shoutout. They were talking about a post on a Clemson Blog, and mentioned they need to Fire Dabo and hire Seth! It’s at time mark 43:30

  5. Proximity I would guess. Two schools that close should be a guaranteed seat filler/revenue generator if all 12 SMU fans show up.

  6. Student experience fee? Why is everything an “experience” these days. I mean, in the old days you got laid. It wasn’t an orgasmic “experience”! Sheese!

  7. Hey DUDE...completely uncalled for. I have many friends who have children on the spectrum and they are all wonderful people. Take that crap somewhere else.

  8. let's say you're right. I know I for one would be outraged and never post about UNT basketball again. agreed?

  9. So Gunnell is our #2 QB and gets NO playing time in another blow-out game. This is the primary action by SL that infuriates me and he's done it his entire tenure here.

  10. I realize there are other factors involved, but would prefer WKU in AAC instead of FAU.

  11. Will be interesting to see where that line goes this week. And @Brett Vito this may be the biggest prediction of your career. We will be watching. You know what you need to do….

  13. Every year rival games are NT-SMU, UAB-Memphis, Rice-UTSA, Charlotte-East Carolina, Navy-Temple, Florida Atlantic-South Florida, Tulsa-Tulane

  14. We have rivalries with both. Just makes more sen$e to have it with SMU due to the close proximity.

  15. Looks like Smut is the only school we play every year, Tulsa and UTSA 3/4 years. So even the AAC has labeled us as Rivals instead of with UTSA, lol.

  18. This guy I know named Andrew said that SNU threw the game by not playing their starters in the 2nd half. He’s working on a real Woodward and Bernstein piece that is going to bring Grant, Wren, AND Seth! The smoking gun…Wren always goes in the north tunnel at halftime (where the visitors locker room is). He submitted a FOIA request for hallway surveillance film that allegedly shows Wren, Seth, and Grant stuffing multiple $100’s from their personal fat wallets into an envelope and slipping it under the door of the SNU locker room. ESPN 30 for 30 is also on the case and Andrew has taken the rest of the week off work to guide Bob Ley around campus.

  20. I’m gonna put this to bed. Grant needed a home opener and called Hudiberg to set things up. The SNU team was presented with the option of playing it as an exhibition game. They knew they’d get killed, so they agreed to do the game if we would sit TP and let them hang around. A faction of the SNU players who don’t get much playing time rose up in a mini mutiny and said, “if we are gonna play a game that doesn’t count, then we better get equal playing time as the starters or we are all quitting.” The coaches were over the proverbial barrel, so they agreed to come to Denton and play YMCA style for a $500,000 check. The players will allegedly siphon off half of that money to their NIL accounts.

  21. I just went back and checked random games earlier in the season because games at the end of the year carry more weight usually and your best players will get more minutes usually. In the three games I checked every starter played more than 25 minutes and at least three of the 5 starters played about 33 minutes or more. I think like the Aune/Littrell argument can be applied here with Andrew. What he's saying is true and very weird, but some of us can't put our thoughts of him aside to look at this objectively. Dave and Hank also brought this up multiple times last night and were just as confused. I can't figure out why you wouldn't want to win if you were them even if it was an exhibition. Us given thrown a bone is better than us losing, but I think if you ask everyone on that court we benefitted from those substitutions.

  24. Littrell: *sneezes* UNTJim: There it is, lifetime contract incoming *insert incoherent conspiracy theories on how the "UNT 17" control the media, corporations, and are ushering in the new world order*

  25. This is better than what CUSA currently has, IMO. They turned down a similar deal years ago in favor of the Stadium/Facebook model, which helped reduce the conference to what it is today. *EDIT- did not realize they were shifting ALL conference games to midweek (Tues-Friday). That really sucks for fans. I figured it was just a couple games per week.

  26. Usually, OCC contracts are canceled when the schools both join the same conference. If one or both leave, then the contracts much be renegotiated.

  27. Anyone know of any alumni association out in NYC? I am doing an internship out there next fall and I would love to see if there's any watch parties or anything for the football games. I know UNT is a pretty local school but I thought I may as well give it a shot and ask. Thanks! GMG!

  30. Why even ask such a question? No one is going to be for writing Littrell a new contract until the regular season is over. What sense would that make, maybe before the bowl game; but they should wait till that is over. I remember years ago when NT gave the WBB coach Slinker a new contract after a great season and conference start. NT went on to lose most of the remaining games and the AD looked like an idiot.

  32. The entirety of the program history can be summed up by 5 head coaches, 6 if you count Weist who coached for 1 game. I'm just asking for more evidence, that's all.

  34. We're really dogs to a team that is 4th from bottom in the conference riding a 3 game losing streak against at least 2 teams that we have already killed (WKU, FAU)? I'm not a bettor but if I was, I would absolutely smash those odds.

  35. Plot twist: Andrew spent all last season harassing the SNU headcoach about needing a bigger rotation than 7 anticipating UNT would need SNU to bench their starters to win. Well played.

  36. My fear is that with all the FCS teams moving up to fill out the G5 conferences, FBS is getting far too crowded. There almost has to be a split coming and then we could find ourselves back in an official 2nd tier with it's own bowl system and/or championship. A Couple of weeks ago Kennesaw State had an attendance < 4,000. I am so glad we are leaving CUSA. Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State and Sam Houston ? Wow. If we were stuck in CUSA next year, it would seem like the old D1AA days.

  37. Had a good season last year, and the year before would have won CUSA outright if they had held on for the final minutes against Rice in Denton. That's close. Jalie has built a consistent winner, and she represents the university extremely well. IMO her contract is worth every penny.

  38. If Clemson hires a career .500 G5 coach with no conference championships, I will eat my own shoes.

  39. Let’s say UNT finishes the season with a conference championship appearance (maybe win?) and a bowl win.. they go into the next season with momentum and get to open play against a P5 school. The last time a P5 school came to Denton? 2011. Might get that elusive Apogee sell out.

  41. Everything gets Littrell a "guaranteed" extension according to UNTJim. Beat WKU at home? Write up that extension. Beat FIU to a pulp on Homecoming? Write up that extension. Get beat by a future conference member? Doesn’t matter, we were competitive so write up that extension. He's been riding that Littrell "guaranteed" extension bandwagon since before the season even started.
