Enjoy the moment and this team, man. We have a very talented team. We’re potentially watching them turn the corner. GMG!10 points

I think we've beaten the heck out of the UTSA fluke win. A win that will most-likely see revenge in the air-conditioned confines of the Alamodome in a few weeks. Take that flukey win out of the win streak, and the teams we've beaten have records of 23-55 against FBS competition (2 of those wins VS UTEP): Rice: 5-10 SoMiss: 3-12 UTEP: 9-9 FIU: 1-14 (UTSA: 14-4) FAU: 5-10 NT's record against FBS competition outside of those 7 games over the past 2 seasons? 0-10!!!! Let's try to keep some perspective.10 points

Can you add an option for "no amount"? It is time to move on. If you want this to continue - YOU are part of the problem. Let's use our move to the American to end the acceptance of average being good enough.7 points

Is it just me or does this season seem like a transitional year. It just seems hard to get to invested because a shakeup at the top is imminent. Am I the only one who feels this way?6 points

I get what you’re saying, but UTSA’s weaknesses were exposed. Our strengths were emphasized. It wasn’t a fluke, playing in the elements is part of the game. We had to play on the same field. Had we played in the Alamodome, we probably would have not had the same result. That’s just part of the game.5 points

These posts need to end and our fans need to expect more than Seth as coach. Littrell's doesn't have the personality to be the Head Coach UNT needs.4 points

Agree. The key here is IF and I mean a BIG IF they were to even think about entertaining the notion of bringing him back (for shit's sake I can't believe I'm saying this) the terms should be so one sided that it would bump up to the edge of being insulting. And 8 wins and a bowl win is the absolute minimum to even put this in a conversation: No raise in base pay, 2-3 years max (just for recruiting), NO buyout, heavy incentives that don't even start at less than nine wins, conference championship game, bowl victory. Take it or leave it and Jimmy Sexton can get F'd I would guess his agent would tell him to pass in which again, his agent can get F'd4 points

You and several coaches go on Twitter saying we have a good team, but I haven't really seen it. We are good in spots (RB, WR, DE, etc.) but good teams don't get blown out by almost 40 points to other 2-3 teams (SMU) or suffer multiple blow outs in one season. What qualifies this team as being good? Genuine question.4 points

Might be the worst coach I've ever seen in Denton. Recognized the in-coming dumpster fire in year 1. Cancelled my subscription to whatever that service was that provided online streams and....just braced myself. Little did I know it would last 4 more freaking years. Pretty much destroyed the passions of Tasty Greek and Co. We lost the Peach Basket pod, and with it some of my favorite basketball dialogue.4 points

Couldn't we get a couple of more wins if we were in the playoffs?4 points

I am afraid he is going to be back for his final year of the contract. That is how we do things around here. Benford style! We are not getting money from CUSA this year or money from the AAC next year.4 points

Littrell didn't bring Wilson here, but he benefitted from Perry getting him here.4 points

Maybe they’d come to a game to protest and it’d be a sneaky way to finally sell out a game.4 points

Littrell back down to #23. Almost has worked his way off the list! https://coacheshotseat.com/3 points

Rumor has it that Seth will be parachuting in with the game ball and then taking his place on the sideline where no one can talk to him or he to them...just a rumor.3 points

I have never done anything like that, but if it helps us win, I would be willing to give it a shot.3 points

I have 2 thoughts about any Benford-SL comparison: 1) This year in football does not feel nearly as bad as what we were feeling about MBB during Benford's 2nd-to-last season 2) Baker has a much better view of the state of our programs, compared to what he had coming into his first year. I will never know for sure, but I suspect the only reason he kept Benford for his final year was to actually see it and feel it. If he had come one year earlier, he would have felt much more comfortable about letting Benford go before that final year.3 points

If Lance could have just stayed healthy he might have had a nice run... heck, I think he was leading the league or darn close in receptions when he blew his knee the last time. They loved him as a security blanket. But yeah, Jeff is a bonafide RB1. Different level. p.s.: No, i don't regret the money I dropped on my bad luck blue Dunbar 25 jersey. Just need to figure out a way to fit in it again...3 points

Ha! It’s more historically (Quincy, Bledsoe, Vinny, Cunningham, etc). It’s like my dad told me a few years ago…”When I die, I want the Cowboys to lower me into my gravesite, so they can let me down just one last time.” 😂😂3 points

I’d say so. Lance was a 3rd down back/return guy. Had he stayed healthy, he would have had a nice career. The Cowboys stink, too. (Coming from a Lifelong Cowboy fan).3 points

Oh yeah! People know Wilson while they don’t know or didn’t know Dunbar. Although a few of them I talked to didn’t know he went to UNT. Got one of them to the last home game though. So yay.3 points

I would say definitely yes. However, I think the team that he landed with was a blessing, bc Lance being on Jerry’s team, he likes that power back.3 points

I dont think its a question of wins, I believe it depends on if there is a better coaching option available. Would only winning 4-5 games warrant the AD sending this program into a complete rebuild with a new coach, especially heading into a new conference?2 points

8 wins means we beat 2 of the following: UTSA, WKU, UAB. And we lose to 0 of the following: LATech, FIU, Rice. That puts NT in the West Division title race. If he can do that, extend him, at most, 2 more years with no bump in salary and more incentives. Can't do the 5 year stuff with him right now. Jimmy Sexton does not have NT over a barrel like he did in 2018. If Littrell doesn't like the terms, he can kick rocks prior to the bowl game, find a RBs coach job somewhere (not a HC job, that's for sure), & Wren can go get his guy. Something tells me if NT were to win 8 games, we'd get paired up with a competent team like Air Force in the New Mexico Bowl or South Alabama in Boca Raton & get absolutely trashed. And we'll be right back in the mouse wheel.2 points

If SL had left for KSU after two 9-win seasons, people would talk about how awesome he was here. That's what Rhule did, except Temple was solid under Al Golden (who got hired away by Miami, not fired for being a failure). And Baylor escaped without NCAA penalty, so when Rhule took over and went 19-20, it was with a bunch of Briles recruits and system. He left Baylor with a 19-20 record. Golden built up Temple. Briles built up Baylor. Rhule went to those programs and won for a couple of years and then jetted. Good move for him, and fine for those universities, but I have serious doubts about him as a coach. I'm not worried of him getting hired away. I'm worried he's just not very good and got lucky in his situations and timing. Rhule is 47-43 overall. One bowl win over 6-6 Vandy when he was at Baylor.2 points

Seth Littrell taking a 1-11 team to 5-8 his first year (+4 wins), followed by a 9-5 season (+4 again), and 9-4 again isn't significant progress from when he took over? Hindsight is 20/20 on SL but his first 3 seasons showed he was capable of turning it around, even if some believe he got lucky with Fine. He just hasn't been able to sustain the early success.2 points
