Travis Scott didn't graduate from UTSA, but no one does, so I guess that's acceptable.3 points

Due to Monkeypox the game will be played in Denton! And wal'la we have a sell out! ...could happen, been there before right.2 points

Yes they knew. It's called White Sands Missile Range. The two bases are kind of joint although they are separate. A lot of the Soldiers from Bliss train at WSMR when it's time to go to the field and a lot of the people at WSMR have to come to Bliss for medical treatment because William Beaumont Army Hospital is there and WSMR has limited support for Troops.2 points

This changes things. Don Henley and Norah Jones trump Dr. Phil.2 points

I did my basic training at Ft. Bliss the summer of 1966. Dry heat is a myth, and there is nothing blissful about basic.2 points

TBT is a huge tournament where the winning team gets a cool $1million! If you watch the video montage at the end, it appears JJ & DJ might pull down the following dudes: Tony Mitchell Jordan Williams Shannon Shorter (I believe all 3 of these dudes are still playing professionally overseas). Thomas Bell III James Reese Zach Simmons Javion Hamlet That team would be friggin SCARY, and would make any game they're in a must-watch for any Mean Green Basketball fan!1 point

Admins, feel free to move this but I really wanted to get this in front of the biggest audience possible. On June 11th, I will be repelling off of a 6-story tower to raise money for the Children's Advocacy Center of North Texas. The money raised will support therapy sessions for children who are brave enough to come forward about abuse. I encourage everyone to click the link below and give! Children's Advocacy Center for North Texas, Inc. - Argyle Police Department's fundraiser (networkforgood.com) Also, if you are local, that same day my police department will be hosting our 2nd Annual Child Safety Fair. It is free and will include a LOT of activities, information, and giveaways to keep kids safe. https://fb.me/e/mKaHLkhsM1 point

I guess this is being interpreted as a negative, but it’s not meant that way. The post was intended as informative as I figured there are some (maybe many) who don’t realize how many hours of college credits a kid can have before ever graduating from high school. I know of a few kids who graduated high school and junior college the same semester…and I’m not exactly in the loop, so there have to be many others. There have been at least two students who were hired as teachers at a local school two years after they graduated high school.1 point

Sorry I lied! A cfl field is 65 yards wide. FYI, the length of the field is 110 yards and the end zones are 20 yards deep.1 point

I’m thinking following Mason Fine’s career at this point is helped by understanding the CFL game including the recent rule changes. The change that seems to have the attention of the coaches and players is moving the field hash marks closer together. With the field being 55 yards wide, moving the hash marks closer together creates more room for the offence on the short-side of the field and brings the wide-side receiver closer to the QB which should result in more scoring. Many may know this but in case it’s helpful, CFL rules generally lean heavily to the offence, e.g. size of the field, large end zones, defence lines up one yard off the line of scrimmage, some receivers can take a running start, and the latest rule changes are examples of this. Where many great QBs struggle adjusting to the cfl, Mason’s success in part has been learning the cfl game.1 point

This really is true. The biggest benefit of choosing a top school are the connections you make. It's always been who you know, not what you know.1 point

Like I said I'm not ignoring that there is a significant amount of kids at SMU that come from money. My point is that it certainly isn't something that you won't see at any other major private institution in the country. Most of the inner circle were from working class families that were able to afford SMU b/c of scholarships, grants, etc.1 point
-
Not the exception by any means. Am I naïve enough to think that a lot of SMU kids come from affluence? No. But that can be said for any university. Most of my running buddies were from middle class (or lower middle) families that made college a priority instead of the ski trip or a new F-150 every year. SMU student body isn't any different than TCU, Baylor, Tulane, etc. Its what you get with a private school.1 point

No TBT team will have a roster full of just alumni. You need guys that are fully committed to playing with the team, and so far we have had 5 alumni (2 that aren’t which is normal) with 3 more spots open to probably bring 1-2 more UNT alumni. An example, Texas Tech is trying to start a team but can’t find players to play. Have plenty of money, however. The fact y’all, Andrew, could care less now is a problem because the expenses and other factors that could prevent this team from actually making and playing in the tournament is a MASSIVE problem. I’ll elaborate later when I get more information and stuff set up, but support is needed more than y’all think. This is a big opportunity for UNT.1 point
