Disregard this entire post. Cincy plays SMU tonight. Go Bearcats. I’ll see myself out.12 points

He is stating on game day that Cincy is not deserving of playoff even if they win out? What a joke!7 points

Given the girth of the average UTSA fan, I'm pretty sure Apogee will look full at even 60% capacity.7 points

UAB showing that, if you have a good QB who can throw an accurate deep ball, you can score on UTSA. I’d say that gives us an excellent chance to shock everyone by…losing by a bunch.6 points

Well if La Tech didn’t have that “we’re better than ULL” attitude they would probably be welcomed in to the Sun Belt. La Tech schitt in their own mess kit.6 points

Gonna be a really tight finish for who has more threads made about them this season; Bailey Zappe or Tre Siggers. Neck and neck. Both up in the double digits.5 points

There is a less than zero chance of UTSA jumping up into the top 4, even if they win out5 points

Check out WK 16 Pre-Game - Graig Dickinson video on the home page of the Rider App. It seems that Mason has been moved to the active roster for today’s game (vs Hamilton Ticats @ 3PM eastern time) and is highly likely to play a couple of series in the game. Very good to see! This is the final game of the regular season and the Riders are locked into second place so this game is being used to give a few players an opportunity to play given covid resulted in no preseason games. The Riders are still very high on Mason’s future with the team.5 points

In my dreams, if Corso, Herbstreet, Howard and company ever came to Denton for a game, two questions. Who do you think the opponent would/should be and where on campus would they stage it? Would our student body turn out? Would love to see it in my lifetime! GO MEAN GREEN!4 points

I just realized….. If UTSA loses today and UAB wins next week. UTSA won’t even be in the conference championship game.4 points

You know things have been tough at your school's football program when fans have to explain to each other who Lee Corso is.4 points

It would be on the hill on a beautiful fall day in Denton, TX. We will be ranked 10-0 facing ranked 9-1 Memphis and Mean Joe would be the guest picker. I expect this in 2024 after we beat #19 TTech earlier in the year in Lubbock.4 points

You have to point your antenna toward Wichita Falls. If it's raining, try Sherman.4 points

Just suckering UNT Fans into getting on an email list. In other news, I can't wait to get an email from Modern Woodsman offering to help me secure my financial future.4 points

Dan Patrick said this week an expanded CFB Playoff is a lock come 2025. Hope he's right!4 points

Realistically Corso only has 1-3 seasons of GameDay left in him. He's a national treasure but time marches on unfortunately.4 points

Corso wants no part of Denton. We used to beat his Louisville teams on a regular basis during our MVC days.4 points

So, the reasoning we are employing here is that fans from 4+ hours away…who also celebrate Thanksgiving and have families…can make it to Apogee but our fans are somehow physically incapable?4 points

Looking at ponyfans you have some of the same people who a few days ago were all about SMU being on the next list for the Big12 and how they wanted that, now saying that TCU and the Big12 is a terrible conference and will implode.4 points

Who won the trip with the team to Miami? They have these contests every year and I have never heard them announce a winner.3 points

I won the trip a couple of years ago. True story. As a wise man once said “People really do win”3 points

Not sure how old you are, but I’d worry about it happening in Corso’s lifetime before your lifetime🤣🤣3 points

I don't disagree, but if they don't retire him on the last reg season GameDay next week, I assume they'll keep him around at least for the picking segment till he can't put the mascot head on himself.3 points

Absolutely not comparable. They're a small school with an enrollment of 20,286 in rural Nowhere, Washington. North Texas is more than twice the size and in the metroplex, and we should certainly strive to outperform schools like that with attendance. WSU only holds on because of conference affiliations and the associated paycheck. Without those, they're Big Sky material. With the move to the American it's time for a giant leap forward for North Texas, and that begins with football. We need to be a natural choice to host P5 (Big XII) level schools. .3 points

Committed to Missouri St. Excellent arm strength and accuracy. Throws a very good deep ball. Good mobility but primarily a pocket passer. Very quick release. Does not look to run but is effective when needed. The only box unchecked is his size. Can’t be much more than 160 lbs. Great stats but could have been much higher had it not been for the blow out wins in district; where the clock ran continuously after half in each game. (Exception was the first game loss to Duncanville). Additionally, the dual running back tandem of Ke’undrae Hollywood and Qualon Farrar in a very balanced offense.3 points

Is anyone going to be in attendance? I just realized this is at Disney World and the family and I will be there for Thanksgiving. I think I have them onboard to go to the Friday game.3 points

All is well as long as it doesn't inhibit the ability to eventually expand Apogee seating to 50,000. We don't need it yet, but we will. It'll raise North Texas to Big XII capacity levels and create some separation from the Southland/Sunbelt/CUSA schools. The mega-universities are all expanding to the 100,000 seat capacity level and anything under 50,000 is considered kiddy pool.3 points

Could you imagine how mad this board would be if we had a great coach and SMU bought him away? That’s basically what’s happening to them.3 points

Ugh. Congratulations on a nice win. Most of the UTA-UNT games are really close but you can see that this UTA team has some good players but is not cohesive offensively at all. UNT has so much more size and speed and organization on both ends of the floor than we do at this point. A lot of our turnovers were our own fault...stepping out of bounds, bad offensive fouls away from the ball, charging, etc. Our guys were tentative on passes and taking shots and just not fast enough getting to the glass or loose balls and you simply can't play that way against a good defensive team like UNT. Hence the 28 point loss or whatever it was. Hopefully we will get better by January for conference play. We still have more NCAA tournament teams like Nevada and Oral Roberts and a good Lamar team to play before conference starts. Good luck the rest of the way and hopefully we will see the Mean Green play an improved Mavs team next fall at the College Park Center. Hard to believe our new arena turns 10 years old in February.3 points

Sorry - a correction on the time for the Rider game today. It is at 4 PM eastern time. The Rider/Hamilton game had been shaping up to be important game for Hamilton to secure a home playoff game but a loss by Montreal last night meant Hamilton locks a home playoff game. Hamilton of course is more likely now to sit some starters for today’s game. No matter, Mason has a really good opportunity to get some playing time against a strong team. I’m looking forward to seeing him play!2 points
