  1. The players are getting “pre-Spring Practice” evaluations from the coaches. Some may not have liked their evaluation.

  3. This hurts. I thought he, being back at full strength, and Adaway would make for a dynamic 1-2 punch in the backfield that could give us a leg up on most CUSA opponents. Still confident in our running back group but he was a CUSA stud and we aren’t sure how many of those are on his roster. Good on him for getting his degree.

  4. I hate seeing this name on here, but I'm still not freaking out. Addaway had passed him on the depth chart, and I'm excited about Isaiah Johnson and Keith Jackson.

  6. Such a tired response. Let's break down your criticisms. 1. Low energy: That is your take and his "public persona." You aren't at practice or in the locker room. Just because he isn't ranting and raving up and down the sideline is ridiculous. Did his players quit on him? I didn't see anything that would suggest that. 2. Underperformed: I would suggest that he over delivered in years one and two and then the state of the program he inherited caught up to him. His best recruiting classes are now becoming upperclassmen and he has built good relationships with HS coaches in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and even Arizona. His first coaching staff was so well though of that a number of coaches were poached by bigger programs. He also just signed one of our highest rated recruits ever. Have we had bad losses? Absolutely, but that is why I said 2021 is our make or break year. His recruits have matured and been in the system, relationships with the high school coaches have been established, facilities have and are being upgraded and it is time to produce. 3. Mass Transfers: Really? Chris Thornton, buried on the depth chart. Brian Parish, buried on the depth chart. Chandler Anthony, buried on the depth chart. Joe Ozougwu? Still out there on the market. Justin Booker-Brown? Walk-on. Garnett Burke, good talent but obviously had some issues and Makayle Sanders. The one I hated to see go is Cameron Johnson, but we have the talent to fill that spot. In return, we picked up the OL Farrell from OSU, DB's Wilson and Davis and they are all rated higher than the players that left. So we had seven enter the portal. No disrespect intended, but Anthony, Parish, Thornton and Booker-Brown weren't going to crack the two deep. Ozougwu was serviceable but replaceable as is Sanders. I thought Johnson had a solid year on a poor defense and who knows about Burke. Wouldn't call that mass transfers. Hell, if it weren't for the Covid virus, Sanders and Johnson would be done anyway. 4. Very Little Reinforcements: Too early to tell, but the majority of our best talent are underclassmen. I know we all want transfers, but their is a crap-load of talent still out there and the most important thing right now is to fill out his staff and have a strong signing day in February. I like that SL wants to build through the high school ranks and then fill in with transfers where needed. Again, he has to win this year, period. But throwing him out right now is short-sighted and knee jerk. You can say every team had to deal with the craziness of this f'ing virus, but not many were replacing a DC, had to replace their QB Coach right at the beginning the year and every team was effected differently by who was sick, who had been exposed, etc... 2021 will be telling for the program and SL's future as our, or anyone's, head coach.

  7. Thanks man, I had forgotten about that. Please tell me that you are joking and you really didn’t talk mess to a former player that helped Seth build his first class here. He didn’t end up being a contributor on the field like we thought he would but he did some good things around campus as a student at our university.

  8. Seems like a pretty shitty way to treat one of our players. He was moved to a safety position to take advantage of his strengths and move away from his weaknesses. He wasn’t the best CB by far but no need to trash him. Easy to criticize his level of play without doing so.

  10. My list of ten would be: NT is my school and I am going to support it. The QB race will be very interesting Always want to see the new players perform NT's offense could be even better than last year NT's defense will be better than last year, how much is the question The offensive line should be the best in a long time Littrell is coaching to keep his job NT IMO has the best situation to be successful in the league (ie; budget, facilities, location) Hopefully, the Virus will be enough in control, to allow full stadiums To see if CUSA football can significantly improve it status among G5 leagues

  14. The offense put up great number last yr in spite of a challenging QB situation. Our OL has improved. Recruiting has been a bright spot. We are full of offensive playmakers and we at least moved on from a defensive scheme that didn’t work. More student interest. Better facilities. Best draft candidate in some time.

  15. Facility improvements Recruiting has improved We have started build depth on the O-line It seems that our staff under Seth has worked on improving relationships with Local/State High School coaches*. *We seem to have a few recent Grads who are coaching. I hope we are keeping in close contact with them and using them as ambassadors for the University. we need to continue to build relationships with regional schools.

  19. Stoops: I am sure he is just chomping at the bit to come to Denton and replace his friend. Strong: What gives you any impression he would be an improvement? Sumlin: Too much losing in the recent past. Herman: Terrible human being/douche bag Briles: Please, this has been discussed over and over.

  20. To get back on subject, I think we will be see a much improved defense with the new DC. I anticipate an announcement in the near future.

  22. We need SL to work out. He has built the bridges we desperately needed for so long. I don’t know for sure, but I think we lose all that and any potential momentum if he’s let go after 2021. There is no way Wren’s seat is truly hot. Anyone saying so is just trying to throw their own matches on his chair. Let’s get a DC and right this ship.

  23. I understand giving seniors another year of eligibility because of Covid. But, I don't agree with letting players of any age/class transfer without having to sit out a year. It is turning into a circus.

  25. If we've learned anything about Littrell, it's that once you're not 'bought-in', he doesn't want you. Not a single player in the portal will be returning.

  26. Dude, there are a ton of players on scholly who never get on the field, but their contribution in practice, film and preparation are as key to winning as anybody else on the team. Plus, they get a free education.

  30. Siggers was fun to watch. But was he ever really the same after that knee injury? IMO, he went from dominant to just OK. I believe Siggers can be successful at his next stop but a lot of these guys are going to discover that the grass ain’t always greener. And some of them are going to be left without a place to sit once the music stops.

  34. Just waiting for the obligatory Necessary Roughness Wally halftime speech clip. But seriously, we just had our first consensus All American in 50 years and just signed our highest rated recruit of the recruiting site era. It isn’t all bad in Mean Green land right now.

  40. So far, no big deal on these transfers. Now if we lose Stout, either Murphy, or Novil to the transfer portal, we're in trouble.

  41. I'd be more worried if they were starters. Backups chasing playing time? It's the new normal.
