  1. I agree about the salary disparity but I disagree that UAB had two years of nothing. While they didn't play any games during those two years, they added players and were allowed to practice. When they returned in 2018 they were a well-oiled, cohesive unit. And, yes, I believe that Bill Clark is the best coach in the conference but he came from the FCS and was given a pretty good raise upon entering the FBS. Littrell, on the other hand, came from P5s and head coach should be a promotion and a raise. He had back-to-back nine win seasons and three consecutive bowls so increase in pay was warranted. Only the last raise (designed to keep him here) has turned bad (so far). At least, if he fails next year he will leave with rooms of 3* players; far better than he inherited.

  5. If he wants to come back strictly as QBs coach, I wouldn't mind.

  6. I would like to see these agreements with the first game being played at Apogee. Seems we are always on the back end hosting allowing the other teams time to bail if they choose. Otherwise, love the agreement.

  7. Headed to the draft. With 4 star Preston Stone coming in and the rumor mill buzzing that another former Texas QB Ja'Quinden Jackson is strongly considering SMU it's not going to get much easier for us.

  10. I know that we are supposed to hate Buechele, but his decision to transfer to SMU couldn’t have worked out better for him or Dykes. That pipeline of big time QBs who want to play and are stuck behind another QB will make SMU a top choice for as long as Dykes is there. BTW, when is Texas Tech gonna wise up and call him home to the Plains?

  12. Funny thing when in Berkeley last year... a few of us are walking the Memorial Stadium promenade when a Cal megadonor thanks us for making the trip and whisks us onto the field with passes for pregame. Funny, gregarious dude, was generally wielding a lot of clout. We mentioned at one point the return trip in 2023. He seemed surprised it was even a home-and-home, and laughed, “ha, no. I’m definitely buying that one out. Hahaha.” 🤷🏼‍♂️ At least we got this cool moment.

  14. What disgusts me is the big ten’s blatant favoritism. If Ohio State had been 6-1 and Indiana was 5-0, there is ZERO chance they would’ve changed the rules to let Indiana in the champ game.

  15. If we can get him focused and staying here he could be a steal. He had a combined rating of .8812 out of high school which is even higher than Caleb Johnson. Now if Datraveon Brown and Simpson can reach their potential think of a receiving corps of Jackson, Johnson, Brown and Simpson. With a highly efficient quarterback they could be the best in the nation.

  19. I think we saw pretty clear progression in DT, and his time was during Chico's heyday. I mean, what can you do (coaching-wise) when your options are McNulty, Greer & Williams?

  21. Disagree. He holds a place in many of our hearts for what he did as interim HC (the first time), but QBs either regressed or remained terrible under his tutelage.

  26. I vote Tony Denton. People forget about him because he only coached us for one game (a 77-72 win against Portland on 11/24/2013), but he has the all-time highest winning percentage amongst Mean Green coaches in program history and deserves for his iconic look to be immortalized in the pit, at least for this year.

  27. If the rumors I have heard are to be believed, we very seldom put the anticipated starting 11 out there defensively (and they had no spring to build continuity). These aren’t excuses, there’s no question the defense was BAD, but I know I’ve seen better recruiting on that side of the ball than I’ve seen since Dickey was here.

  37. OK buckaroos, Ree’s show in DFW is on the Dish on the Food Network at channel 110. Don’t watch it—you’ll get hooked (& hungry)!😆 A production company out of London, England, produces her show. Watch the episode call “Boarding House Bites.” Ree mixes food Recipes with ranch life. In this episode Ree & husband are building a western-looking boarding house in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. The Drummonds have almost singlehandedly brought life into that one horse town. Amazing. ❇️ GMG!

  40. This isn't something where practice always determines your PT. A coach is allowed to look at the bigger picture. If they are consistently folding in-game, then a change should be considered. I'm not interested in offering schollies to practice MVPs. I want people who produce conference titles.

  41. Still laugh about their chancellor bragging they fire coaches for 8-4 seasons then proceeding to go 4-8 last season and 3-4 this year and not firing their coach
