  1. I’ll be real honest here...I have no idea what you’re trying to say.

  3. Can't wait for the LaTech/UNT (Covid-19 Edition) game tonight. The last football game we had was a month ago. As for your program, you guys have a beautiful athletic campus. I wish you guys luck in finding the right coach one day turning your program around. Out of CUSA, the games I look forward to is UNT and USM. Hope for a good game.

  4. After reading the article, North Texas is not even mentioned, although Florida State is. I recall the noise when he "committed" to NT and the same when he backed out of that and agreed to attend Ole Miss. I wonder if this kid holds a garage sale each spring to get rid of college shirts and ball caps where he no longer attends ? GO MEAN GREEN

  5. Seems to me this guy left our UNT daughter waiting in the chapel. Why do we continue to allow ourselves to be used like this?

  7. Plum is a great fan, but I never knew he had that kind of power over the program. Who do you think must set their sights higher? You think any person in NT's sports hierarchy doesn't want NT to move up the athletic chain? I doubt there is any G5 fan that doesn't want his team in a P5 conference. Unless they have a great amount of influence with conference leaders and/or a great amount of money they want to use to further their teams status, their views are not going change much. CUSA is not a bad home. It provides competition with like teams. For NT to get into a more prestigious conference, NT has to build an athletic program that other leagues want. Complaining about CUSA, does nothing positive.

  8. Sometimes the cause is bigger than the award. First black baseball player... First black coach... First black president... First Female (and non-white) Vice President... First P5 Girl kicker... Point is, it's a generational leap past our misplaced masculinity It's a door to bigger things. Sure, it's small in it's inception. But it's a sign of greater things and I'm 110% on board with it

  9. CUSA refs remain hot garbage. It really is embarrassing to the conference how bad they are.

  11. Are we, as NT fans, more concerned with 'karma'? Or winning games? If the former, no wonder we're where we are. If the latter, kick the tires again and see if he's interested. Some of y'all really need to kick the jilted-lover-syndrome.

  17. I’d say these are the “normal” jerseys in the sense of having a “home” uniform and an “away” uniform. I like the uniforms, but I’d prefer the SOW or the wing on the helmet. Not griping, just nitpicking. The way the last two seasons have gone, I’m jumping on the “I don’t care what we wear as long as we win” bandwagon.

  18. We have a pretty bad Defense but luckily we are making up for it with poor Special Teams play and sub par offensive play with plenty of turnovers.

  19. The DE play of this years team has been pathetic. No pressure and no containment. This ripples through the whole D! The HS recruiting has improved dramatically, but the transfers have been marginal at best. I believe that Seth and staff get one more year and they better move to a 4 man front. There has been very few coaches in UNT history that has seen this dramatic of change both in facilities and staffing. To read about the the continued dominance of La Tech over us makes me sick!

  20. We have a great QB room based on what exactly?

  21. This one was hard to answer. 3/4th of the scholarship players have been here 3 years or less. We're asking an awful lot of 19/20 year old kids. There are a huge number of guys who have flashed already that will be here for three more seasons. The shift to high school heavy classes that were massively redshirted should start paying off next year. What concerns me is whether or not we have the right coaches to develop them and not let a losing culture set in. The days of giving up 50 points to CUSA opponents has to stop. It's been a constant of the Littrell era. LB recruiting has been much better, but DL recruiting has been awful and there's not a school worse at evaluating safeties. I was very excited about Garnett Burke and sad to see him go. Neither Dotson nor Walker (lone high school DL signees of 2019 class) have shown anything yet. We can't keep missing this badly at those positions, so I would lean more towards concerned than a feeling of heading in the right direction all things considered.

  23. 'I don't wish either of them well' -- The demise of the Southwest Conference, 25 years later (espn.com) I wish they had asked Jordan Case or Scott Davis what it was like to have to compete against these teams who wouldn't allow us into their club.

  24. Yep, the 2018 game that started the slide of this program again. Ugggh I wish we had that one back.

  25. I was thinking about this question bc I knew it would be the response to my post. I have two answers. Men should not compete in women’s sports if it would give a competitive advantage (or vice versa if applicable). So for example, I don’t think anyone can say that Ms. Fuller has an advantage playing football because she is a woman, correct? And since she has no NCAA women’s football, there is no other option should she want to play and the coaches deem her able. Which brings me to my second point. Almost every sport the NCAA governs that I saw has either a M/W split or an equivalent sport. So for the above, no a man should not play softball because there is baseball as a men’s sport in college. And although NT doesn’t have men’s volleyball or baseball, dozens (hundreds?) of other universities do so and one can transfer to play if able and the coaches want you. No option for football. There are some other exceptions that I saw on my quick scan, for example I believe sand volleyball and perhaps bowling are only for women. But if we are all intellectually honest with ourselves, we can admit those sports primarily exist for Title IX balance because of the massive weight of football scholarships. (That is a different argument but I will remind that the pros manage to play the foosball with around 55 on the roster so...) So in summation, there are few opportunities where a woman would need to compete in a men’s sport and even fewer opportunities to actually achieve it, so what is the harm? Teams bring in male soccer or Australian rules football players to kick/punt sometimes, so why not Ms. Fuller if she has the ability, will accept the risks, and can’t attempt her craft in any other way? And on the flip side, most male athletes have the appropriate sport for their interest and ability levels, so there would be little to no need to do so, and if they proposed to do it, in all likelihood if would present an unfair advantage. Just my thoughts. PS These thoughts are about her playing not the OP topic of earning POTW honors. That is a different topic but I get they wanted to recognize the moment.

  26. https://247sports.com/college/florida-state/Article/Ole-Miss-football-Kade-Renfro-quarterback-enters-transfer-portal-155863578/ Do you think Littrell has any interest in (re)pursuing Renfro?

  28. That was a true freshmen (#6 Loronzo Thompson with solid offer sheet) who got shook out of his shoes trying to grasp at the shoulders of the LT ball carrier. If we are going to get our ass beat at least the young guys who are in no danger of losing their redshirt are on the field.

  29. this is where i'm at. I don't know how to judge this year at all. from the stop/start feel of it all to the behind the scenes cancellations/players being held out, i dont know how to judge us. I think we have issues at QB, but i'm hopeful that this has been a learning year for a lot of the younger guys. If we don't win 7-8 next year, i'm really concerned

  30. I say "No". The kid wasn't a 4 or 5 star recruit. We have to have some self respect as a program.

  36. its come up a few times before... when it comes to OOC scheduling I think both schools look right past each other, though they tend to play some of the same schools (I'm watching HBU play SMU as I type this). I do think it would be a good game, though a loss might really hurt with local recruiting.
