Every now and then some members (not necessarily you, GrandGreen) demonstrate a hint of entitlement around here. Someone thinks they have some sway in controlling or filtering the content that comes through GMG.com. This would be a giant leap down that road, IMO. This is @Harry and Cos board. I've always been in the position that, they do what they want and I'm lucky to have this Mean Green corner of the internet. I come here to read and chat all things Mean Green. IMO, Vito is letting us know about a new writeup, not offering an auto repair service. I'm glad he lets me know when there is new news from the AD. ...I wonder if this sentiment comes from 1) we already get tons of information from GMG.com, so maybe Vito's articles don't have much value to some of y'all, and/or 2) people irked that DRC.com has become a pay wall. I can't believe this is even a thing. I'm filing this under "this is why we can't have nice things."

MVSU is going from Arkansas on Wednesday, to Texas on Thursday, then Wyoming on Saturday. off to Arizona Tuesday, and then I guess back home for a couple days rest. They then play 6 more road games before their first Home game. This is terrible during a pandemic. This shouldn’t even be allowed for a program during a normal season.

I predict a win, only if we have a pass play on the third offensive play from scrimmage.

My wife attempted to buy our family of 5 tickets for tonight’s game. The meangreensports.com website would only allow you to buy in groups of 4, but recommended calling the ticket office. So, I did and bought five seats in 106. When we arrived we found our seats and sat down. They have the seats that you are allowed to sit in marked with white bands around them, but 3 out of my 5 seats didn’t have the little bands. First, an athletic department employee came over to look at my tickets...and confirmed that I was in the right place. Then, one of the CSC people came over and looked at my tickets...then told me that, even though I possessed tickets for the seats I was in, the lack of a white band meant my family couldn’t sit there. If not for the same athletic department employee that I had already talked to being nearby, I fear we would have had quite the stand off. I fear this will be an ongoing thing...so be prepared.

See Drex's post above, suggesting access to Vito's content or restricting him from posting. Subscription = access. But what if I rely on GMG.com to know when new content is available? I think that's one of the things I like about our community here: for me, it's like a starting point. A place where I can find nearly everything Mean Green-related, then navigate elsewhere for anything I really want to dig into. If that needs to change, then I'll change. If I have to monitor several different sites that operate exclusively, I'll live. It just seems like a Pandora's box here: would they also have to restrict links to any pay-walled articles, from anyone? Or just block employees of each site? Seems like a headache. Like you said, it's up to the board owners.

A rival is someone you look forward to playing in all sports, football, basketball, etc. and it is usually a back and forth affair. We have the edge in wins in football and double them up in wins in basketball all time. Just like in basketball and usually in football, they are just another game. Case closed

Thanks It is not wise to put too much weight on any early game, but maybe this is the year that Mitchell's team can put it all together. Last year, she was just too short-handed with the injuries and number of ineligible transfers.

Anyone know why Thompson; who started last year and Owens; who I thought would start did not play? Good start for the ladies, lots of depth. Noble looks like a big surprise, I didn't expect that kind of performance. Lampkin had a great start to her college career. Competition gets a lot tougher with away game against Texas, Sunday. Not counting NT out even though the Longhorns beat SMU 90-51 tonight.

Our offense is better than theirs but their defense may have the edge on ours. If our defense can step up, we win this game handily. They do not stop our offense.

My guess is Frisco is 10 times more proactive than Denton or UNT and is far more equipped to take on a short notice event than many cities. They could have looked at Lubbock because its close or anywhere else in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, or Arizona. There's a reason the Cowboys are in Frisco, the PGA is moving to Frisco, the Stars are in Frisco, FC Dallas is in Frisco, the FBS National Championship is in Frisco, Frisco has a Bowl game, Conference BB Tournaments, and even we are opening a real campus in Frisco. It was probably a pretty easy choice for them. I just hope we make a bowl and don't have another NM Bowl disaster like the last one.
