We play in the SBC from 2001-2012. Worst FBS league in football, barely ever on TV, and we had the WAC back then, as well as the Big East. SMU leaves CUSA, and we get in, only to see the entire league become crap, our TV deal become Facebook!!, and the freaking Sun Belt become considerably better than us. #UNTluck10 points

Once the A&M quarterback has the ball, he fakes to the left. No. He fakes to the right. He doesn't fake. He thinks about faking. He pretends to fake. I don't know where I am. I can't breathe.6 points

you buy your cookware from Target?!? how low rent. there’s not a UNT grad I’ve met that doesn’t use at least Williams-Sonoma. my personal chef and staff use All-Clad Copper5 points

As the 1’st half was coming to an end, Adaway runs 82 yards from the A&M 18 & thru the Aggie Marching Band to score a TD! Kyle Field was silent except for about 12,000 Mean Green fans who sounded like 100,000! GMG!4 points

Big difference in putting your life on hold and taking responsibility for your actions. The season has started and they put themselves at an undue risk4 points

UTSA is my one exception to rooting for C-USA teams in out of conference. And I have to say I assume that will spare me some pain today.3 points

I'm surprised they didn't already do this. As for the cutouts of prostitutes, that's a lot of money, but soooooo worth it.3 points

These are not just «young people» they are a team with mutual responsibility to do the right thing for each other and the school that is paying their way.3 points

I get cold just looking at that clip! My freshman year and being from the Rio Grande Valley I'd never been to a football game in the snow.3 points

Stuff like that should cause a forfeit if the game isn’t played. Just plain dumb!3 points

We should add a Mean Green Job board. We could used it to post job openings and those looking for work could post their interest or what they are looking for. This should be a great way to network and support our fellow alumni. **Original was edited. I guess I was tired when I posted this originally. I went back to read it again, and was like "huh?"3 points

Ok, UTSA really does look improved on offense from last year. Not sure by how much, but definitely less anemic.2 points

Responsibility vs Accountability . I hope I am dead wrong, but I feel out defense is as bad as last years. SMU really scares me.2 points

You just can’t help your little woke self can you? The mark of true wokeness...when you have nothing to say ... pull out the racist card. I’ll just consider the source of this ... first you mock the victims of 9/11 (oh, sorry you “snark” the victims of 9/11) and then pull out the racist card. Is there no level you won’t descend to prove your wokeness?2 points

Don't tweet at recruits, huh? In this interview, he says a big reason why he committed is because of the love he was getting from North Texas fans on Twitter. Recruits love the recruiting game and the praise they get from it. This is 2020 and we aren't Old Denton anymore. Care to back track now? https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/Article/VarKeyes-Gumms-247-North-Texas-2021-Football-Commits-Tight-End-151303191/2 points

I typically will just like recruits tweets in regards to UNT stuff, choosing to not reply personally. That being said, I see hundreds of P5 fans tweeting at kids all the time, especially highly contested kids. If it gives us even an inch of an advantage, I want the entire kid's twitter feed filled with mean green fans. Untill the NCAA actually enforces it, go nuts.2 points
-
My take: I think lighthearted, "We'd love to have you! Go Mean Green!"-type tweet is fine. If he commits, a "Can't wait to see you in Green!"-type tweet would be fine. Both would make him feel welcomed by the fans. If he happens to choose a different school, leave him alone. If he commits, then de-commits, leave him alone. Too many times we've seen morons tweet these guys with, "Have fun sitting on the bench..."-type stuff (or worse!) after we miss out on someone. That's just not necessary.2 points

My apologies - I forgot I had a role to play. *cough* Prepare thy anus, peasants. You're going to get spanked harder than a Phi Delt on pledge night. 👍2 points

Pick6 in UTSAs favor. They now lead by 13 with 3:24 to go. Well I guess at least C-USA gets its first FBS win in the season.1 point

How about 50/50. Coaches for failed leadership....student athletes for failure to follow rules...responsibility. Play those who are cleared and possibly lose game or forfeit.1 point
-
So your view is it the coaches fault for not locking down the team? A little confused. The education on what to do is out there and at some point the players have to take responsibility. Seems too many want players to get a pass whenever something goes wrong.1 point

Here's my take on the whole tweeting at recruits debate (I know yall are dying for my opinion): I really don't care as long as it's just a harmless gif about the team or a "we'd love you here" kind of thing. MY issue is when people disparage another school/team that the recruit is considering. It's just not a good look. But back to the player, this kid is a damn beast and I really hope the crystal ball is right!1 point
