  1. What the hell is this??? Is it even a speech if Littrell doesn't say 'ass' at least 4 times?

  3. I am not a particular Trump fan, but some of you are ridiculous. This virus hit fast and was largely an unknown. The President can get blamed for about anything that happens in the USA or to Americans. If Trump had shut down everything and stopped the coronavirus from spreading, he would have been blamed for foolishly shutting down the country Let's all make political points in this time of crisis because that is really what the nation needs more of.

  4. "Country Hospital" Man, you are really an ass. The hospital I work at serves a 19 county region in the Permian Basin and is far from a little ol' country hospital, but thanks for demeaning the professionals that work there every day. The immediate region has a population of over 300,000 people and the hospital employs over 2,000 healthcare professionals. Have you seen the CDC directive on how to code deaths? If not, then you are just speculating, because it was shared with me and I stated facts. Some hospitals are overrun, some are not. Our little ol' country hospital has cancelled all elective procedures preparing for patients, yet at this time only have 4, so we are far from being overrun. You tell your buddies that are bigwigs in Federal Emergency and Directors of Safety that we will get to seeing people between castratin' cattle and worming calves. Demeaning others to serve your needs tells me all I need to know about you.

  5. Governments are definitely not the only to blame. How in the world in our information superhighway did a governor just this last week learn that the virus can spread through asymptomatic people? This isn't the only pandemic in our lifetime, so why are we acting like we had no idea what to do? Why do people tend to not take things seriously unless the problem knocks on their front door? Complacency, laziness, ignorance....existed in nearly every facet: media, experts, society, etc... There are tons of issues revealing themselves here, and it's not just political problems at the top. These next two weeks will tell us so much. Hopefully we will be on the other side of this together with good news.

  7. Listen men, Coach executed in the speaking and reading phases... not all 3 phases of speech presentation. Those kinds of mistakes are hard to overcome, but he found a way to say the right words when he needed to. He's gotta take accountability for it, watch the film, and find ways to improve. At the end of the day though, it comes down to getting the point across, and he did that. He'll celebrate it tonight, then get back to the grind tomorrow. 1,2,3, MeanGreenFamily!

  11. First detected case. So the travel ban from China wasn't a directive (which by the way is a major reason why we're just now seeing this pop up in the US). The fact of the matter is NYC leadership did not act quickly enough and did not take it seriously enough even as late as early March when De Blasio was telling people to go about their normal lives and that everything was fine. But they aren't the main people to blame, though if they had acted sooner NYC could have mitigated some of this. The entire world underestimated this because the Chinese Communist Party lied to the entire world about their numbers. They are to blame for the whole world's lack of preparedness for this severity of this virus.

  15. Yes, they all have a cabal that meets regularly to determine the best methods to keep NT in place. No, I do not believe for one second that facilities have anything to do with NT not moving up. No one gives a ' damn, what your volleyball or swimming facilities are. Apogee and the Super Pit are fine You do realize that you can make reported budget numbers look about any way you want them. Allocate more cost to the athletic department than make institutional transfers to cover the expense. Not one cent is actually spent. What is holding NT back is not facilities or money. It is timing, NT went for decades funding athletics just enough to have a D1 program and for a long period did not even do that. The current NT has moved up substantially in terms of support and could easily fit in any G5 league.

  17. We aren't moving up because we aren't seen as bringing value to anyone above our current home. We aren't going to make the AAC or the networks look at SMU and say that the need to overlap that market by adding in UNT. Look at what they've done since UConn announced they were leaving to go back to the Big East. Nobody was added or even considered. Why? Because the AAC, like the Big XII, looked at the landscape and their network money and decided it wasn't worth it to add anyone. So UH gets stuck in the AAC, much like we are stuck in CUSA. The best path forward is to reorganize the SBCUSA. The way I look at it, the Western Teams should be: UTEP, UTSA, TX State, UNT, Rice, ULL, ULM, La Tech, Arky State, and USM. The East would be in 2 divisions: FAU, FIU, USA, Troy, UAB, Ga Southern, and Ga State in the South, while in the North would be Charlotte, Appy State, Coastal Carolina, ODU, Marshall, WKU, and MUTS.

  18. He was making $1.6mil at an SEC school. This is about twice what UT was paying Karen Aston. I know there is a money printing press in the basement of Memorial Stadium but I don't understand how they can increase his pay enough to lure him from Miss State.

  20. This guy must be insane? 35 year practicing epidemiologist Knute Wittkinson says this flu outbreak is not unlike most other flu outbreaks. Says he’s not paid by the government, he actually practices science. LOL He also calls it the flu? What? Says flu outbreaks always start to end in the spring. What? Who knew???????????????????🤷🏻‍♂️ Says the elderly & the compromised should have been protected but that schools should have remained open to allow the virus to run its course and build heard immunity, which is what kills viruses.. . Shelter-in-place is protecting the virus by preventing heard immunity, ensuring a second wave this fall. CRAZY TALK!!!!! Rick

  21. You honestly think there is a grand conspiracy about North Texas moving up? You’ve probably been saying the same thing for 20 years...the IPF is great...it should have been built 10 years ago if not more. As it stands North Texas is not ready to join the AAC without major improvements to the volleyball venue, super pit, athletic center, swim and dive facilities....the list goes on. There is no conspiracy, we need more money to compete and it’s not there.

  22. Until TV money stops dominating the makeup of conferences, we are stuck in CUSA. The networks don’t want market overlap. The days of Rice and UH being conference mates are over. In the short term, the easiest thing to fix is realignment of CUSA and the SBC. ODU, Appy State, Marshall, F_Us, and GSUs don’t need to be in a conference with anyone in Texas or Louisiana.

  23. While I may not see it in my lifetime, I believe that North Texas will be in the AAC or Big XII in the not too distant future. The scenery has/is changing. We have somewhat buried the hatchet with SMU and Houston as far as scheduling goes. Each of us seem to draw well when we play each other. We have a new forward-thinking university with a less combative president and athletic director. We have a nice new stadium, built to be expandable to 50,000. We have a large, beautiful campus. We are in the fourth largest TV market. The culture of the students is changing for the better. We've come a long way and keep improving. While it was true in the past I'm not so sure that SMU might try to keep us out of the AAC. Even if they did they are only one vote. They will need 12 teams for a playoff so I believe that a replacement for Connecticut will be made when their TV contract runs out. We have been in the same conference (some very briefly) with five of the teams in that league and I hope that we have good relations with them.

  25. SMU could not stop NT if the others wanted NT. The truth I expect is that the other regional schools don't want to lose their advantage over NT by conference affiliation. The private schools like Tulsa and Tulane are probably just as opposed to NT as SMU, UH also would likely not support NT either, not wanting to give a competing in-state large university any advantage. The only way that NT would get any support would be to reach the point that it would obviously elevate the league overall. In essence, NT would have to become a power g5 program in either/both football and men's basketball. If NT could do that, then they would not even need the AAC.

Remember when the World Health Organization said the COVID-19 could not be passed from person to person in a January tweet. https://www.bizpacreview.com/2020/03/26/who-director-says-world-slow-to-react-to-covid-19-after-claiming-no-human-to-human-transmission-months-prior-901672

  30. Yep, because those museum workers are raking in $4 billion in salaries. Please. My company qualifies as a small business, less than 500 employees, and the steps being put in place will kill us if we don't open up the economy in the next few weeks. Protect those that need to be protected and let the rest carry on taking precautions. Of course the spring breakers, NOLA Mardi Gra folks, etc... will always do whatever causing problems for all. Then again, the NOLA mayor will blame the federal government for her stupidity.

  31. We all recognize that calling it a flu is a misnomer. Pretty strange to see a published scientist doing the same. Call it what you want, but realize you look like a media mouth calling Army P5 or using FBS/P5 nomenclature in the college basketball world. here is another message board with a running thread of reactions to this video.

  37. The problem with this logic on Mo’s end, and @97and03 already pointed it out, is that Hamlet is a senior. If Mo had stayed his path would look like this: 20-21 season - Starting 2 guard and backup point guard for UNT as a redshirt junior 21-22 season - Chance to become starting point guard for UNT as a redshirt senior And by transferring his path looks like this: 20-21 season - sit out the whole season and burn his redshirt junior season 21-22 season - Chance to become starting point guard for the school he transfers to People keep saying he wouldn’t have a chance to become the starting point guard here because of Hamlet, but that’s not looking at the real opportunity cost here. He can’t start at point guard for any D1 school this season because he has to sit out. Then by the time he’d be eligible at his next school, Hamlet would be gone. So Hamlet really doesn’t present a valid explanation for transferring now.
