Not sure who's running the account, but someone out there is tweeting a simulation of the 2020 March Madness bracket released by the New York Post on March 16... Regarding NT's Round of 64 matchup with Oregon... Next Up? Kinda depressing but it's all we've got. The imaginary hope of a Sweet 16 showdown with Mr. Woolridge & Co.5 points

Interesting... Haunga coming to NT from Auburn Morris' dad currently on staff at Auburn Wonder if these connections factor in on the recruiting trail or transfer portal down the road. Either way, excited for these additions.3 points

Coach Walsh resigned recently. There appears to be more to the story but that is that is all that is being reported at this time.2 points

With all sports gone for the foreseeable future, and many of us at home, we need something to discuss.... Southern Miss has "the Rock" and LA Tech has "the Joe". I think Apogee needs a moniker too. Since Littrell took over as coach, the Mean Green have won 75% of our games at Apogee (18-6 home record). I think that is a significant home field advantage, and worthy of a moniker. My proposal... Apogee Stadium- the Palace of Malice. Thoughts?2 points

Will we still be able to donate anyway? I have planned to donate a bit however needing to stay cash heavy with a full credit line, as I could get evacuated from here at a moment’s notice. In such a case I have to pay out of pocket for a hotel for a couple of months!2 points

Haha...He would describe it as the stadium where the Mean Green have lost 25% of its games in the Littrell era.1 point

All of what you say is correct. And yet it makes me so sad for all those who will never properly get to experience the real social part of college.1 point

He's had some off the field issues before... surprised he wasn't fired before. These may not be his own terms.1 point

You mean we shut down Pritchard! Reese and Bell had him locked down!1 point

So, I'm guessing we've signed some of them as preferred walk ons?1 point

I got an email today. In fairness, cancellation wasn't until Thursday. Email on Friday of last week said expect something early this week. I got my email on Tuesday. Definitely had not been a week. But it does seem longer without sports. 😞1 point

I'm more saying it's led to a level of arrogance and disrespect around the actual severity of our situation, the pandemic and it's spread, than speaking to the actual symptoms themselves.1 point

On the other hand... If DJ was intent on working on a master's degree, what better way to do it. He would only need to take 6 hours per semester and as sharp as he seems to be, he could probably graduate by this time next year with 2 degrees from North Texas, all while playing basketball at a high level. I wonder if he would still be on scholarship though. GO MEAN GREEN1 point

Question as a GMG newbie: if F--k is now douchebag, what is autocorrected to "quite" that I've seen on the site for a while now? Also does this douchebag autocorrect take into account past or present participle? such as douchebaged or douchebaging? Edit: Got my answer, lol1 point

Is the athletic department still out there? Nothing has been heard from them in over a week. Seems to me that some sort of communication should have been sent to donors, season ticket holders, etc. as to what the heck is going on our there.1 point

One important thing that came out of italy and has also been seen here recently and communicated by the local hospital website: Even young folks can have complications and it seems when that happens there is often a major role for that with people having taken usually common anti-inflamatories such as Ibuprofen (Advil etc) and Aspirin to treat flu symptoms etc. This seems to cause some unfortunate interaction with the COVID-19 virus and the way it attacks the autoimmune system. The advice is, that unless you got something chronic, you should stay away from these products and -if possible- instead use things such as paracetamol.1 point

I worry about US reporting not being accurate for a bit longer until tests make it out. I wish the WH accepted the WHO tests. Edit: some containment in China and SK is a good sign. Hopefully this isn't a bug someone can catch again, though.1 point

Unless the Palace of Malice outbid Apogee than I will stick with Apogee. I believe alternate names have to occur spontaneously and become engrained through heavy usage. The Pit for example.1 point

Our lives have been affected in two ways. (1) Five of us were scheduled to leave on a trip to The Dominican Republic last Saturday. Three of us are older than 70 and two of us are younger than 55. We all checked with our health care professionals about the trip. The ones over 70 were advised to not go while the younger ones were told to go and have a good time. I would love to be on a beach drinking a pina colada BUT..... (2) Our church service today was live streamed with no audience allowed in the sanctuary. I watched the service from my recliner while drinking cup of coffee and eating a donut. It may be tough to get me back to a regular service if we continue to do that.1 point

On a good day, our hospitals are close to max and likely understaffed. Between that and major screwups in test availability and procedure, plus folks going out in large groups due to bad top level leadership, we might be in for a mess.1 point

We are not prepared for this. I think things are going to get a lot worse before they get better, unfortunately.1 point

When DJ was a guest at the Coaches Radio Show, he was asked about continuing to play after graduation. He said, that he "was done", that he was in a "pretty serious relationship" with his girlfriend and that her was anxious to "get on" with the next phase of his life. Did not sound to me like he was too interested in continuing to play after graduation, but, then, the comments were made before the conference tourney was cancelled. However, to me, DJ seems like a kid who has a pretty firm grasp on want he wants to do and where he wants to go. So, based on his radio show comments, I think DJ is done with organized basketball. As to another year for all seniors, I really doubt it. All the seniors played a full year of basketball...all the way through their conference games. I can see the NCAA granting spring sport seniors an extra year...softball, golf, track, etc., but not basketball. But, it's pretty crazy "out there" these days, so you never know. But, one thing I am pretty confident in saying is that whatever DJ decides, it will be the correct decision for him and that he will be successful.1 point
