  1. Hmm. That will be quite the shock since he'll be in the middle of his third NFL contract and reigning MVP.

  4. We had as many as utsa had in the stands. The interesting thing is that UNT crowd was much more vocal than the flightless birds. The ladies after we scored in the dugout said North and the crowd said TX. My friends ,after a rr hr said ut and their crowd juast looked at him and said nothing. So, I tried to help them and told them to say UT which one? My friends never said another word!!! rr= road runner or kill.

  7. DENTON – The North Texas football program and Vice President/Director of Athletics Wren Baker announced Friday that the Mean Green have agreed to a home-and-home series with the University of Missouri. The Mean Green are scheduled to host the Tigers in Denton in 2030 and travel to Columbia, Missouri, in 2031. "I'm very pleased we were able to schedule a home-and-home series with Missouri," Baker said. "Upgrading the quality of our non-conference home schedule continues to be a focus point for us. I appreciate the work of Jared Mosley in helping assemble our future schedules as well. Scheduling is a time intensive exercise and Jared has done a great job of landing quality non-conference home-and-home series." These scheduled meetings will be the second and third for the Mean Green against Missouri. The Tigers knocked off the Mean Green 28-7 in 1995 in Columbia in the season-opener. 9. Look, do you want to play P5 schools or not? If yes, then you need to schedule the games! As this article from last Aug points out, it's not unusual for games to be scheduled 15 years in advance. "Texas has home-and-home matchups scheduled with Georgia in 2028 and ’29, Florida in 2030 and ’31 and Arizona State in 2032 and ’33. UCLA hosts Wisconsin in 2029 with a return leg in 2030. Oklahoma and Clemson recently announced a home and home for 2035 and ’36 — so far out that a senior in the second of those games will enter kindergarten this fall. When Alabama and Wisconsin announced a home-and-home last week for 2024 and ’25, it felt not excessive but pragmatic." And - "“I think what happens is, everybody is ready to walk down the aisle and they don’t want to get down the aisle and not have a bride to kiss,” Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne said. “And so that’s the challenge that you have is, sometimes if you don’t schedule far enough out, you literally can not have an opponent to play.”

  10. Sounds great, but I do have questions: 1. Does anyone have a scouting report on DFW area second graders? If so, which ones are polished enough to start on day one as freshman during the 2030 season?! 2. Will we have the budget to both buy out Littrell AND afford our new AI coaching staff in time for the 2030 season?

  16. Yeah, no. Painfully obvious attempt to keep up the "Rich people are bad. They should not have all that money" drumbeat. So embarrassing for NBC and the NYT. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2020/03/06/msnbcs_brian_williams_new_york_times_editorial_board_member_mara_gay_five_divided_by_three_equals_one_million.html

  17. Notice were the official site is lauding a swim relay teams' third place in a relay at the CUSA meet. I guess the purpose of the team is to balance the male and female athletics. However, I can't think of any team at NT with less success. The team was actually making progress under the prior coach until he left. Then NT just named his assistant as head coach and she has remained despite never coming close to winning in conference. Finishing near the bottom every year doesn't seem to be something that Baker would put up with, yet he does. It maybe a facility issue, however the prior coach was at least more competitive.. I guess no one cares, but it seems changes are warranted.

  28. While I'm glad we have a home and home with Missouri, I will be an old man by the time that game gets played. We need a series like this being played within the next 5 years. Some on here will say I'm being negative. Someone might even post a gif of a hand throwing away a wrinkled dollar bill. That's fine. Everyone gets an opinion. I just feel like we need a legit P5 home and home within the next few seasons.

  32. Attendance reported to be 4,500, I think. So, we are about 2/3 of where we need to be in attendance. The team deserved better.

  35. I'll always be of the (biased) opinion that when UTEP is doing well, it makes our conference better. More-so than when most other teams do well. Their history within the game going back to the late 1960s, carries a ton of weight with the media mouths. And, IMO, it should. Obviously, because of that history the Miners have a strong bball following across Texas and beyond. Our fans show up.

  38. I haven't seen finish this year but last year we had our highest finish ever in CUSA (3rd place). Rice and FIU are both really good programs and head and shoulders above the rest. https://www.collegeswimming.com/results/118549/ But yeah, my guess is its to balance the male female ratio. Not sure on the facilities but if they still use the facilities in Physical education building, they were an issue 20 years ago when I last stepped in there. 🙂

  39. I think in In the end it work out best for UNT and Woolridge. Hamlet has been a superman and hits the FT when the game is on the line. Ryan is doing well at his new school. So we are all winners.

  42. Nope. All politicians, regardless of level, build personal wealth, all the while under the guise of helping all citizens of our country. Assuming the deal was made and the price is correct, how was Obama able to buy a $14.85 mil dollar home in Martha’s Vineyard? Did some supporter give him that money? How did he build that kind of wealth? I’m dumb. Someone clue me in.
