  1. Bodie Reeder managed to "fail" up it seems. I'd definitely consider his new gig as better than his old one in terms of the conference affiliation and recent success of the teams. I stand by my opinion that last year's issues on offense did not fall primarily at his feet. I'm way more apt to blame Littrell for that because the issues the offense had were exactly the same as in the previous year, just worse. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors. I hope he has a successful career elsewhere. i also hope he loses every game his has the ill fortune of coaching against the Mean Green.

  6. I wish him well. Seemed like a good guy. I think this year will be telling whether his offense is an FCS juggernaut or also fit for FBS.

  7. Didn’t get to see enough of him to nominate him. But with what little we did see, with 42 yards on 4 carries it could have easily been Oscar Adaway.. Rick

  8. 6’3” 240 lb defensive end from Desert Pines in Las Vegas, Nevada. 247 is showing we have offered, and it appears to be recently. Also was offered by Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, UNLV, Utah State, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia. Of those offers it looks like the most recent one was West Virginia back in July. https://247sports.com/Player/Jonathan-Pickett-46047150/

  9. We need to split off into another division like high school football . P5 would be D1, G5 would be D1a, and D1aa would remain the same.

  15. Another reason why these P5s aren’t anywhere near being equal to us in the G5. FBS division is absolutely ridiculous to include both groups.

  16. Not for football. The concert band, in 1974, was on tour and played in Wichita. In 1975, my flame transferred from TWU to West Texas State and I paid her a visit. I drove a Rambler Ambassador and she rode a unicycle. As all the girls in that era had hair to their ankles, she often looked like Cousin Itt.

  17. Two ways you can look at it: 1. Littrell is doing what Dodge couldnt do - Fire his friends. The culture at UNT has done a complete 180. This is New Denton. Littrell realized Reeder wasn't a good fit and he did what he had to do. 2. Littrell flinched - Littrell fired his OC after one season. Reeder's offense scored 30.58 points, Harrell's 34.62. So he fires his new OC after one season and after scoring basically only a field goal less than the season before. But Why? My theory is that Littrell realizes he's losing steam nationally a can not afford another losing season. Which ultimately means he's looking to get out of here at some point. This may be obvious to some, but we have some die-hards on here who believe Littrell can do no wrong and that he's going to retire at North Texas. 9 wins and a bowl game victory and I think Littrell is gone.

  22. e, your making that argyle money now...... We don't whine about ticket prices. In fact, if we need 5 tickets and we're from Argyle, we buy ten and put five under random windshield wipers on cars. That way we can spread the love.....

  25. Or they looked at the film from this season and saw our potential All-American QB that had done well previously running for his life for most of the season and realized it wasn't the coaching but the lack of OL talent that made it impossible to have a consistent offense.

  27. Really not a bad option. I have a friend who is a big fan of Canadian football, and he has made the exact comment. Fine could play QB in Canada and have a very long and successful career...if, of course, some NFL team isn't smart enough to give him a shot.

  28. I still think Fine would be a home run in the Canadian football league. With their format he would break records.

  29. You see assistants move from one place to another and do well sometimes and then fall flat at others. I have always believed that they don't forget how to coach, rather at time just don't click with those around them.

  30. Reeder had some good concepts. Ultimately I think they waited too long to adjust the play-calling to the inexperience on offense. Game-planning I felt improved. They attacked opposing defenses' weaknesses well, even if poor execution limited exploits. But in the end Took too long for the offense to get a handle on the new scheme, even if some passing concepts carried over Defenses picked up on it quickly in game, and we didn't adjust. Eg, too many screens, RB passes early on in the season, reducing yards per play Not enough vertical passing until later in the season which could be due to Too much youth and inexperience on the outside with Guyton and Bussey gone.

  42. Now that I think about it, I've got some Shrine Bowl questions... Who pays for the players travel, room and meals ? How long is the player at the Shrine Bowl event ? Does the University provide the player with all his equipment or just the helmet ? Does the University send any support staff with the player ? Does the player get paid ?
