  1. Dude, it’s a message board...in the big picture, getting this upset about something this little isn’t worth it. All you’re doing is making yourself look irrational.

  2. If you think a downvote means they think Reff was awesome, you aren't as smart as you like to tell people you are. (I didn't downvote you).

  4. The only person who has looked like a clown the last few days is you. Some people choose to maintain some basic human decency when it comes to someone who was associated with this university and choose to wish them the best with no ill will because they weren't a good fit here. We eagerly await more Big 12 analysis and takes from the boards undisputed expert.

  6. My first job after NT I was called into my bosses office and "questioned" since she heard that I was getting a call from a recruiter (he initiated the call). I was given the "we need to be dedicated" speech. A week later she pulled everyone together and announced she was leaving for another opportunity. Sorry, but in very rare cases does the "truth" come out on who is looking.

  14. So any time an there's a coaching vacancy out there, and some random sports outlet happens to throw Littrell out there as a possibility, he needs to call a press conference to announce that he's not interviewing for that job? And what if he does interview? Is he supposed to be transparent with the world about that? For the bolded point... we're just not there yet, even for an alumnus. There's no way around it.

  15. Hard to believe that new are in our 10th year, but such is the case. We are set for the 10th ANNUAL UNT SPIRIT FUNDRAISER EVENT! This year a tad earlier due to scheduling conflicts, but, we have secured the UNT SOFTBALL COMPLEX for our event this year...keep all fingers and toes crossed for good weather this year! Since KICKBALL was such a big success last year...we are doing kickball once again. We will "kick-off" at 11:00am on Saturday, MARCH 21st at 11:00am at the UNT Softball Complex off Bonnie Brae Rd in Denton. Registration fee for player (which includes the "collectors item t-shirt of course) is still only $35.00 per player. This is a CO-ED EVENT, so come one...come all! WE will once again include a silent auction with all kinds of goodies to bid on...UNT and non-UNT items...AND...once again we will have some yummy brisket sandwiches available for those interested. We do have a couple of back-up dates should the weather not cooperate, so please take note of these dates as well...Sunday, March 22nd and Sunday March 29th. So, what do we need...(1) Players, (2) Silent Auction Items, (3) Sponsors, (4)) Silent Auction Bidders and (5) Spectators...if nothing else, please come out and support our event. The more folks that come, the easier it is to continue to obtain UNT Athletic Department and UNT Division of Student Affairs help and support. So, yep, we need ya! Here are the appropriate links: SIGN-UP TO PLAY HERE: https://one.unt.edu/annual-spirit-classic CAN'T PLAY, BUT WANT TO HELP WITH A DONATION OF ANY AMOUNT: https://one.unt.edu/annual-spirit-classic-donation-page QUESTIONS? Ask them here (other folks may have the same question) or PM me here on GMG.Com. I am sure I have left something out. So, check back here from time to time as I will use this thread to keep everyone updated as we progress toward game day.

  24. Per Footballscoop.com, another former coach may be moving on West Virginia: Source tells FootballScoop Neal Brown is targeting former Ole Miss linebackers coach Jeff Koonz for the linebackers role at WVU. Koonz spent the 2019 season at Ole Miss, 2017-18 at North Texas, 2014-16 at Cincinnati and the 2010-13 seasons at Louisiana Tech.

  26. Agree. Last season, his DL depth issues finally caught up to him after Tauaalo graduated, and he didn't have STUDS at CB or LB to help mask it anymore. He just kept pounding that square peg, and it just wasn't going. I had no problems with safety play for the entire time he was here. McClain/Muhammad/Robinson were all very nice players who knew where they needed to be. The Lobos got a heckuva Safeties coach. Good for them, and good for Coach Reff.

  27. I think our best case scenario (outside of Littrell just happening to be Bobby Bowden 2.0) would be the Boise model, where you're successful for so long that the job is seen by every coach as a good one to have whether you want to stay and keep winning, or move up.

  37. Frustrating, would love to pretend maybe we just discovered him but seeing as one of his OL has been committed here for over 7 months that seems very unlikely.

  41. Roger was a top 100 recruit with offers from schools like Arizona, Indiana, UCLA, and Michigan State. Simmons had 1 D1 offer from Arkansas State because of Dowling and Mccasland. Nowhere near the same caliber of prospects.

  43. Hey, congratulations, man. I just retired after a little over 30 years with the City of Dallas (in Geographic Information Systems), and noticed that there were reasons sworn law officers might find reasons to move up by moving on, but you'll know more about that than I. And Argyle seems about as fine a place as any to call home in North Texas nowadays. I did notice going to the UAB game this year that there was a turkey loose in the middle of Hwy 377 in Argyle, eventually making good an escape in that critical Thanksgiving week. It actually had the most elusive moves I saw from any Denton County resident taking the field that day. I hope such is as bad as you find there.
