Right now the only decommits that I care about are on both sides of the line. Folks, we are doing fine at QB. WE NEED HELP IN THE FRIGGIN LINE. Geez louise........🙄10 points

Grown men who tweet recruits scare me. If you're not employed by UNT as a coach, you need to stay away. You're not helping.8 points

Time to revisit the most important rule: Dont tweet at recruits! Especially when you’re saying something negative. It’s an 18 year old kid8 points

Open letter to Rico Bussey: Rico, I’m not sure how the future will play out but we, the fans, would love for you to return next season. Losing you to injury made it abundantly clear the impact you make on this team and how much we need you. If you stay, you have an opportunity to rehab in place you know well. Your voice could guide the young WR corp in their growth and with your talent, we could help ease the transition to a new QB. An opportunity is at hand for us to put this shitty season behind us and right the wrongs of 2019. So I ask you to leave your legacy here in 2020, ball out, and let’s prepare you for the NFL Draft in 2021! Rico, you’re a part of the Mean Green family now. We love you, wish you a speedy recovery, and we’ll always support you, no matter what. Unless you transfer to SMU. Then you’ll be dead to us. Please don’t do that. Respectfully, C Rod8 points

Saw Renfro play in person this season. Was not impressed. Reminded me of Connor Means. We can do better.7 points

Why is anyone surprised? As soon as he "committed" he was already out actively looking. Every time someone raised a flag they were jumped on with a "he's just this or that". I don't wish the kid anything bad, but also do not wish him luck. Like it or not, he used us. My concern now is that he tries to "recruit" some of our other recruits that he has been building relationships with.6 points

This line of thinking is tired. An 18 year old deciding to change his mind has nothing to do with integrity. Ever changed your mind in life? Perhaps change jobs?4 points

Same reason Id love to get Baby Briles at OC. Is he a douche? No doubt. Can anyone stop his offense when he's got the players? Not even close. I think we're getting to the point that if we want to take those "next steps" we need to get a guy who might be a little dirty but is still far and away better than the other options. I'm not saying we should sell our souls to win football games, but all the best programs have some coaches that are badasses on the field and maybe not so great off the field4 points

I get the displeasure with this season’s defense but the offense has regressed under Reeder as well which puts more pressure on the defense. Here are some stats so you can ponder if just replacing Reffett is really going to fix our drop off this year. Our rank in total defense fell from 48th to 85th but our rank in total offense fell from 20th to 48th. In scoring defense we fell to 107th from 43rd while scoring offense fell from 27th to 49th. I think the biggest issue we have faced this season is the drastic shift in turnovers. We went from plus 5 in turnover margin to minus 5. Last year we were 34th in turnovers gained, this year 111th. Last year we were 35th in turnovers lost, this year we are 80th (meaning we are worse and losing the ball more).3 points

On one hand I understand, on the other hand I get sick of always hearing how kids at 18 (or younger) should be treated like adults and listened too, but as soon as they do something we hear "their only 18".3 points

If we can keep these skill positions, get some grown men on the line, then we wouldn’t need a superstar at QB. Just a guy that can go through his reads and get the ball to the right person at the right time. I know linemen are hard to get, but dang it there’s no way around it: you win and lose games in the trenches. Coaches need to stop trying to dodge that and figure something out. I’m not asking us to beat out the SEC’s of the world for those 4 and 5 star guys. I’m asking us to beat LaTech and USM. They’re facing the same uphill battles we are and we’re investing much, much more.3 points

You don’t make a commitment months in advance, only to withdraw it near the due date placing the other party in a potentially precarious position. If you aren’t 100% sure then you wait, you look for better offers first. It’s called integrity. With that being said and as others have already mentioned I think we are good at the QB position. Good luck to the kid.3 points

Much how you can learn a lot about the life and final days of an animal by carefully separating and rummaging through it's scat, I have gleaned much from the 25,000 posts you lovingly drop here daily.3 points

I don’t believe being a fine arts or music school has any bearing on our inability to recruit quality athletes. They could care less. The real problem is this: We have coaches that lack the ability to think BIG. To set the goal HIGH. We have people that lack vision to create dreams and then to creatively and effectively sell those dreams to the best athletes. We’re small because we think small.3 points

And we sure as heck won't receive Millions of dollars in free advertising by losing to Rice! As much as people like to poo-poo that Arkansas game, it really was awesome for North Texas.3 points

Sounds like you’re the one that needs a safe space. Getting all triggered bc a high schooler doesn’t want to go to your school anymore.2 points

I also believe with the people we had returning on offense (even with losing Bussey), we shouldn't have had as big a drop off at all. We should have done even better. I don't care to have Reeder as the OC.2 points

Several big time programs with losses to upstarts this year. It's early, but this might be a wide open tournamant come March.2 points

Pick your sport at UNT. We have a hard time getting difference makers that produce conference champions to come to UNT. Something is terribly wrong with how UNT is perceived when it comes to recruiting good athletics.2 points

Size and and athleticism go a long way in the college game. Maybe one day we will figure that out and right the ship... 🤷🏼♂️ We have the speed and quick hands, but we lack the other two. 😕2 points

What insight do we have into Will Kuehne? Or really, Austin Aune, who certainly looks good in his limited action. I’m guessing Kade Renfro is coming in with the full intention of competing for the starting job right from the beginning. I could be completely wrong, but I really think we are going to be ok at quarterback next year.2 points

Let me put it this way, the evidence we do have definitely causes worry. It’s not like we have zero insight into what any of them can do2 points
