That’s not surprising. I don’t think you would be a good AD if your emotions are all over the place like a fan.12 points

Maybe I’ve been being naive, but I’m just astounded at how this season has turned out.12 points

Our recruiting is fine. We’re about to sign two straight classes that are elite by CUSA standards. The problem is that those players are true freshmen and high school seniors right now. I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but this is an issue from poor recruiting in the first few classes of the Littrell era. Also, I’m not super confident that o-line recruiting has improved. It has a little, but still has me nervous considering the time it takes to develop those guys.8 points

I don’t think anyone expected to see such a regression in “all three phases of the game“ 😓......this team was favored to win the west and a trendy pick to really make a leap. So much hype. It makes me sick that it was all BS.7 points

If this is how Mason's senior season ends I will forever blame this coaching staff for wasting one of the most talented quarterbacks we've ever had.7 points

People don’t understand that this all started last year when Littrell held the fans, the players and the University hostage for almost 4 weeks before the New Mexico Bowl while he negotiated another position at K-State. That’s when the foundation was cracked. Then Harrell is gone. Fine even says he was thinking about leaving. Look at the injuries to key players. You can not do what Littrell did without consequences. Actions will always speak louder than words.7 points

It’s fitting...Fine has carried this team on his shoulders for so long. The coaches let Mason Fine down.7 points

It was insane to send Mason back in after the first shoulder injury.6 points

He has done a good job at recruiting. I think this season's issues are matters of coaching. Shorter, White, and Hair-Griffin have all flashed at WR, but not consistently. The lack of consistency in my mind is coaching, not talent. Also, there has been obvious confusion on offense and it seems like a lot of the receivers don't know the route trees very well. Again, this is an issue of coaching in my mind. I just can't decide if it's Reeder, Littrell or both.6 points

But this wasn’t an SEC team. they’re a fellow CUSA team they’re more talented because they’ve been out recruiting Littrell. for what Littrell makes.....that shouldn’t happen6 points

...It’s time to take down the Mason for Heisman website and lock the entire team inside the new indoor practice facility. Lords knows we need it.6 points

Is the worst in college football. They can't cover, can't tackle, take terrible angles to the ball. I've lost count on how many long down and distance plays USM has had guys screaming ass open. This is a total $#!+ show.5 points

no to burning redshirts. In today's transfer portal environment, redshirting is a staff's only tool to discourage it. A redshirted player will lose a season of playing time transferring, a player with a redshirt still available will not. (except grad transfer, of course)5 points

Playoffs, Playoffs, Playoffs. We will be lucky to win 3 more games. OC and DC are jokes and Littrell has no balls to take over play calling.5 points

He needs to be fired on Monday. This scheme sucks, there is no game planning, and there are never any successful adjustments. No tolerance for this crap.5 points

Reeder was a big mistake. I think he still thinks this is the FCS5 points

I don't think Seth needs to go. He just needs to find better coordinators.5 points

Whoa whoa man. we still got 2 1/2 quarters. At least close the garage and get the car running.5 points

We play utep better in Denton so that is a W. i have looked at Seth differently ever since K-state. I lost some trust and emotional investment in this thing. If he doesn’t really want to be here why should I bend over backwards to get up to Denton or travel Across states to support his team. Sounds selfish because the players deserve my support and money, the Littrell is mentally gone. I need Littrell to reinvest in this program, my program and university. He’s learned a powerful lesson about loyalty, integrity, trust and reputation. We all learn it regardless of industry. He’s at a crossroads. Build this thing back up or depart. There is no room or tolerance for the job between in the Wren World. For that I am happy. GMG4 points

To be fair, I have not heard Mason fail to hold himself accountable and place blame at the feet of the OC. Kid is a hard worker and needs to keep working to exorcise whatever demons have taken him over. That said, I think he may be playing with some undisclosed injuries that are not quick to heal, and are getting aggravated. That was apparent last night with his left shoulder. It’s concerning that he appeared to have a nagging injury coming out of a bye week.4 points

Have you noticed... During the GH era every time Mason had a bad game it was GH's fault, now it Bodie's fault. I love Mason, but he needs to be help accountable for his play.4 points

Many, many on here undervalued GH. If you took the time, and listened objectively to what many on the national stage were saying GH is very highly thought of. I believe his influence on Mason, regardless of the rah-rah "father/son" Seth and Mason feel good stories is the reason a very, very good player and played great. I would like to see GH come back as the HC if Seth leaves.4 points

I hope Fine is okay. But with this loss is it too early to consider Fine’s career a wasted opportunity for UNT and this coaching staff? 1. No conference titles, 2. no Bowl game wins, 3. no victories over top 25 teams4 points

I know it's easier said than done, but D and O lines need to be strengthened or we will end up in these same situations. Don't know if Grad Transfers and the Transfer Portal are the issues but we need to do something different.3 points

Yes, and no. Mason has missed a lot of wide open receivers this year. Maybe Reeder has not been able to help him with that "competitive edge" that GH could.3 points

I've never been a fan of the coach who screams and rants and raves during every practice and game. I've always thought it was more productive for a coach to keep his cool and focus during tough games and when a bad call goes against you. It helps keep your players focused. That said, it meant something when that coach got pissed, lost his cool, or tore into a player's ass. I've never seen Seth get pissed. That's a problem. He needs to learn there is a time and place to get pissed at the ref, to get in a player's face, and to call someone out.3 points

I am not a homer or an apologist. But that is a cheese dick move to transfer out in the hope of more success elsewhere. You roll with it when you are QB1, good and the bad, you roll. He's a UNT Hall of Fame lock and will will talked about by these current 18-19-20-21 year old students when they're 80. You sort of taint that if you take your ball and go home.3 points

This has been an issue for awhile now with the OLine. We have just had a QB who has been tough as nails and has made plays in spite of their poor play. It’s been this way for Fine his entire career here. I actually believe it’s finally taken it’s toll on the poor kid...3 points
-
Yet we had people on here claiming that our OL “isn’t that bad”. But here we are with Fine hurt after another game of getting killed on the regular.3 points
-
8 minutes left in the game, down by 18, and we're running up the middle. Really, is that trying desperately to make a comeback or conceding defeat and running out the clock.3 points
-
We have to focus on improving our O and D lines. Controlling the line of scrimmage is key to consistent winning and championships in CUSA. Unfortunately, our current coaching staff is enamored with recruiting only skill position players (which as a priority should come after you build a program with solid line play).3 points
-
The coaching staff also needs to protect Mason from himself. If the kid is hurt, don't let him gut it out. The offense cannot protect him. We cant win with a broken QB3 points

Hell of a start to the game. Hate to say I called it, but once again, missed tackles and blown coverage. Keep defending Reffett you clowns, and keep down-voting me for calling for his head.3 points
