https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/3-group-of-five-sleepers-for-the-2020-nfl-draft?fbclid=IwAR19FOvsR78Q1CQ9xxWvcGWcdwT0e9PX_FgGCqOHSu6doP_O0PwvZGwIJwQ From the article - The more I watch North Texas quarterback Mason Fine’s tape, the more I get excited about his projection to the next level. Keep in mind, Fine is only 5’11, 200 pounds, so he will be off most draft boards strictly because of size thresholds. However, he has a lot of the quarterback-specific traits you look for in a next-level prospect. Fine has a live arm and can uncork throws from every different angle with accuracy and velocity. His ball placement is fairly consistent across the board, whether in or outside the pocket, at all levels of the field. Also, he is a much-improved decision maker, throwing 10 less interceptions in 2018 than he did in 2017. What I love most about Fine’s game is his toughness. He’s taken a beating the last three years as the Mean Green’s starting quarterback. Yet, he will stand in the pocket and deliver strikes with pressure right in his face. It often results in him taking big hits, but you have to respect his fearlessness and composure. Fine has improved each year at North Texas in all areas of the game, and I think he will be an intriguing Day 3 prospect that every quarterbacks coach will want to get their hands on.5 points

He's on another level. In a time where dudes like Future and Migos can outsell Kendrick Lamar & JCole, you cant just be a lyricist in the hip-hop game anymore. You have to be something different. Tobe's words aren't the typical hip-hop fare. He's actually saying something. And when he brags on himself, it's not the typical money/hoes/clothes/things-I-got... It's on a soul level. Gotta get this dude to Apogee for a pre/postgame show.5 points

I'll stick with my guy for year 3 and go with Rico Bussey Jr. Last year, my prediction for his stats came in way under. I think Rico is going to be around the same #s this year as last year, but with the faster pace Reeder brings, he'll have more opportunities. Give me: 74 Catches 1150 Yards 15 TDs All Conference WR. Belitnikoff SEMIFinalist. NFL Combine invite. Drafted to the NFL. EDIT:4 points

Over the weekend they played two games in Florida. Lost 2-0 to USF - who is currently #18 in the country. 3-3 tie with UCF - Just thought I would pass it on. For those who are interested.3 points

Harrell dialed up QB powers at the goalline on several occasions. Always made me shake my head in disbelief. He's our bellcow offensive player that gets the offense going and you run him between the tackles in a power scheme vs a bear front. Just, dumb.2 points

I’m following up with the owner. They already committed to our dates. Nico (one of the managers) is the only one to say anything about OU doing this. UPDATE: I heard back from the owner. He said they had checked into it and there were no timing conflicts between the UNT away games and the OU games. He said the closest is one game where the kicks are 4 hours apart. Doing my own research, the Cal game kicks off 3 hrs 45 minutes before the OU game. They’ll have to wait for us if we run long. Time of the OU/ KSU game is still TBD on the day we have a 2:30 kick against Charlotte. We’ll see how it goes. If this gets problematic, we’ll move somewhere else next year.2 points

I don’t know about any of their 16 transfers other than Buechelle. I’ve seen him play and he’s damn good. Reads defenses well, quick footed, quick release. What it may come down to is if he’s had enough time to gel with his receivers or not? What we have going for us is SMU cannot rely on last year’s tape and will have a limited time to study our new system. I don’t just want to beat them at Ford,...I want to see a June Jones-style ass whipping there. But that’s just me. Rick2 points

Cal fan here. While our LB unit is good, our DB’s are elite. Phil Steele ranks our defensive backfield as the 2nd best in the country, behind only LSU’s. Mason Fine should test them. He’s a very good QB. Best of luck to you. I look forward to the game.2 points

13-1. We lose to Cal, but it’s a good game. The wins...Our offense is a Beast all season. Defense is fast, aggressive, and punishing. Conference Champions and a Bowl vs a P5 that ignites the DFW alum and show out! GMG!1 point

I submitted 11-3 even though I see the potential for 13-1. Houston at UNT represent the best of the "Other 5" conference members in Texas. I think NT is better than Cal, but that could be a tough road game. I think 10-2 regular season, with 12-0 potential. I assume 1-1 post season because regular season success will put us against a strong bowl opponent.1 point

Haven’t been on actual campus in a bit. What is that building towards the end that has the University of North Texas in front of it? Just want to make sure people know I’ve been to the stadium many times, just not on campus1 point

If KM struggles and it's determined that it's because of his height, then it will hurt Mason. My perception of KM is that he was drafted because of his total package of passing and running. Mason will be drafted for his passing ability and his ability to avoid big hits by the pass rush. MF is not nearly as mobile as KM. To me, durability is the big issue.1 point

A lot of big runs in these scrimages has me nervous... hope it's just the creative new running schemes and not our interior line and lbs being soft.1 point
