Fine #37 and only G5 player on the list. https://247sports.com/LongFormArticle/College-football-2019-season-Tua-Tagovailoa-Trevor-Lawrence-Jonathan-Taylor-133963699/4 points

2-2 has to be a minimum. A 1-3 start would be disastrous. I think 3-1 is very doable and 4-0 is not out of the realm of possibilities.4 points

This should help... North Texas hosts 2020 class, rundown of visitors https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/Article/North-Texas-Mean-Green-football-rundown-of-visiting-commits-from-2020-class-133966451/3 points

My educated guess of the four that are missing are TE Jake Roberts, C Dane Jackson, RB Isaiah Johnson, and CB Tavorice Weaver. The ones that I believe that I can identify are OL Jett Duncan (64), DL Ta'Shoyn Johnson (96), OL Kade Bond (70), DB Jordan Nichols (7), DL Jamal Ligon (88), DB Jason Kerl (24), WR Loronzo Thompson (3), TE Christian Lee (6), LB Jacobi Johnson (15) and DB Garnett Burke (11). The numbers of the two on the back row are not visible but I believe that they are QB Cade Renfro and OL Erik Williams. Renfro is 6'4" and Williams is 6'5"; two of our tallest committments.3 points

Odus Mitchell was national coach of the year in 1966, had seven consecutive winning seasons, and won ten conference championships. I think it is fair to say he belongs.2 points

How do you beat Fine. Pressure up the middle and contain on the edges. How do you beat that D? Tight ends on quick in and outs and a hurry up! This will be a great year for Fine and UNT.2 points

I feel good about the offensive line this year. Manase Mose was all-conference and he, along with his brother Sosaia and D'Andre Plantin were given all-conference mention by Phil Steele. Woodworth has been reliable for his career regardless of position. We'll also use tight ends more so that Fine will have better protection. In the Utah State game don't forget that Fine was without our top receiver as well. Utah State was also highly underrated.2 points

Like it or not, the fact that we dismiss UTSA as a rival is actually part of the rivalry.2 points

Presumably after Lane realized two decade veteran of CUSA football Brent Stockstill was out of eligibility, he allowed him to stay on as a staff member for FAU. https://www.murfreesboropost.com/sports/brent-stockstill-joins-kiffin-s-coaching-staff-at-fau/article_72581da4-af38-11e9-bffd-e7f5d9efdfe3.html "The Blue Raiders defeated FAU with Brent Stockstill under center the last two seasons and he will be on the other side of the field across from his father, MTSU coach Rick Stockstill, when the Blue Raiders play at FAU in a Conference USA game on Oct. 12 in Boca Raton."2 points

UAB no longer has a team full of grown men playing against boys. They will regress significantly this season. UTSA is a dumpster fire and even they doubt they will win much this season. Other than that, I count the other games as toss ups and don't really know what to expect from MTSU this year2 points

It was a joke..sorry for the confusion. The music is really from Super Mario Bros. I was (and mistakenly thought you were) being facetious. No insult was intended.2 points

Telegraph Avenue is the main strip but there are many options right near campus. If you want more upscale, there are restaurants and bars on the Northside of campus in an area called the “Gourmet Ghetto”. Berkeley has world class dining and no shortage of places with endless variety. The two must go places for me are Chez Panisse, the birthplace of the American farm to table movement and one of the most influential restaurants in the US (make a reservation way in advance. I prefer the more casual and a la carte upstairs cafe to the more formal, set menu downstairs restaurant) and Top Dog. Simply, some of the best hot dogs and sausages you’ll ever have. Top Dog is where every student for 50 years has eaten and is iconic. I dream of the place. New York hot dogs leave me hugely unsatisfied.2 points

NT put DD in the HOF. Standards are definitely not high, when a coach with a soso record and a propensity to criticize his own school is honored. At this point, Littrell has not won a conference championship or bowl game. If he can add those two accolades to his resume, than he is a shoo-in.2 points

Utah State? He was just referring to studying tape on Fine to limit him. Fine hardly played vs USU so there's not really tape to study there. Another anti-UNT "fan" here I see. Just like we'll go 1-3 in OOC, huh? Based off of nothing other than pessimism.1 point

I think in some regard it's a good thing we got a new OC for this reason. The new stuff that Reeder is introducing will hopefully be different enough to confuse our opponents after their film study.1 point

I was encouraged by the confidence Khari had during his interview. “We have guys chomping at the bit for their chance to play.” These guys may be talented, but not quite Garner/Ejiya. I anticipate some drop off, but i think it’s going to be okay. Corner? I’m hoping our transfers make an immediate impact! It’s gonna be a fun year. GMG!1 point

the NFL's starting QB's. https://247sports.com/Article/How-every-starting-NFL-QB-ranked-as-a-recruit-133937894/1 point

You may not realize that Ramsey only played in 29 games in his career. Fine has already played in 40. However, Fine is a much superior QB to Ramsey. Ramsey was a high risk thrower with a comparative low completion percentage and record number of interceptions. His teams were 22-6-1 versus Fine at this point 23-17.1 point

You don't have to side with either one. DD and RV were both trainwrecks that should have been terminated much earlier. DD had a great run in the new Belt, again based on one fantastic recruiting class. NT had a lot of advantages versus the other early Belt members, many of which were relatively new to D1 football. However, I have always given credit to DD for that winning streak that was amazing no matter what league. My issue with DD and it should have been everybody's, is that he killed his own program by his statements and lazy recruiting. The real problem for NT is that they had an Administration and BOR that failed to correct what should have been very obvious issues. NT hired an AD with limited experience, and keep giving him new contracts for some unknown reason. Did not RV serve under 4 different presidents? DD should have been shown the door, the first time he openly criticised his employer.1 point

I remember the huge Mean Green Eagle on Fouts that faced I-35 for decades. I also remember how sad it was when I saw the dismantled eagle components sticking out of the construction dumpster during renovation. I wish I had at least kept the head for prosperity's sake. Oh wait, I did.1 point

True. Mississippi State was ranked 16 at the time and we lost the game by only two points 17-15. The only other game we lost that year was to 20th ranked Florida State. The other point to make is that there were 11 games in those days rather than the 12 played today.1 point

Some gullible fans on here were goaded into hatred of them based on some of their moronic fans coming on gmg.com and talking nonsensical trash. Then, they happened to beat us in 2013, which was a punch to the gut for a great NT team that was cruising towards a Western Division title that year. THE DRIVE happened to occur against them too. I wouldn't call Rice a "rival" because of THE STAND though. That's it. That's the history between these two teams and our "rivalry". There's nothing else.1 point

LA Tech beats North Texas with Last Second Blocked Field Goal Attempt This is the rival! Looking forward to seeing everyone in Ruston this year. It was so sweet to leave Apogee that night after the win. So many UNT fans in disbelief, oh what a night! Full Highlights Good show of sportsmanship by Coach Holtz at 3:25. The only thing he was concerned about after the game was Mason Fine. He's looking around going where is Mason at. Mason was pummeled that game by Jaylon Ferguson and Coach Holtz was concerned about him.1 point

His record out of conference was awful because those were the games that were scheduled to finance the program during his time here. Thankfully, Coach Littrell only has 1 of those per year (balanced out by a paid win VS FCS). Coach Dickey had 3 or 4 per year.1 point
