  1. Norvil came at 6’4” 253, as a Jr he is 315lbs!!! He may the perfect example of developing DE to DT. This will be Seth’s biggest D line especially when you consider their length! GMG

  3. Big advantage we have over all these schools and others is LAND & Location! All athletic facilities in one location and exposure to the 35s can’t be beat!

  4. We hat would be awesome to have both UNT and TCU play at SMU to a completely full (half green/half purple) stadium where SMU cannot fill it half way up. So classic

  6. I never said anything about whether they were "body bag" games or part of home-and-home series. I said UNT "has cut down dramatically on the number of games it plays against Power Five teams" and thus opportunities for wins that will garner national attention. That is clearly the case.

  11. I with Brett here. He never said they were bodybag games. He only said that UNT has cut down on the number of games in which we play P5 schools. All those teams may not be powerhouse football programs, but they are part of a P5 conference. We went from three a year to one a year. That is cutting down the number.

  12. I think that the khaki shorts are the killer of the look. Why not green shorts, white polos and a green cap. Case settled.

  20. Everything about this is funny to me. On the last episode (for now) of Podcast Ain't Played Nobody, the hosts have on the editor for the big Athlon College Football preview mag to which they contribute and gauge Steven Godfrey's reactions to the way-too-early bowl projections in real time: We show up about 48:30 in here: https://megaphone.link/VMP5716226326 Projection: Heart of Dallas Bowl First Responders Bowl, UNT vs TCU at SMU's Gerald J. Ford Stadium. Let that sink in for a moment. The irony, schadenfreude, whatever you want to call it would be delicious. Also, I think it would be an amazing matchup and frankly well-attended game. Win win wins all around. The podcasters also make a joke of how many players TCU would be willing to trade for Mason Fine. Fun stuff.

  21. I had to read that one sentence like 5 times to understand what he meant... Seems like we beat Ark and Charlotte, played tough against Tennessee and UAB, THEN we won the CUSA title... Other than that, it was a fairly nice write up. Ill take the pub!

  22. If they don't want to play us home and home, then I don't want to schedule the series. I don't care how big or how much money. Home and home only.

  23. He was changed to warm interest after his visit. Since then he's had several P5 visits. I've been keeping up with him because he would be an immediate starter for us I would bet. I think Ga Tech is the front runner for him

  24. My point was, at least in my case, "honestly and integrity" was instilled in me and my three siblings at a very early age by my immigrant Father. And I still live by those two words......until I die.

  26. I understand that the same company that made their cannon is building their new stadium. "So are we going to make it out of steel and glass ?" "No. That's been overdone. We're going to use plywood and hot glue." 6 for Heisman GO MEAN GREEN

  27. It is going to be tough for Mitchell's squad to improve. NT looks ok under the basket with Townley, Shepard, Terrell and George returning. However, in the frontcourt it is a different story. Mims is a capable point and Owens returns, but that is it. Freshmen guards are going to have to play and I am doubtful that is good thing in tough league. I hope I am wrong but I see the team struggling next year.

  30. I really hope they can pull this off. That old hotel will look magnificent if it can be restored properly. Now, I'm not sure if restoring it can "bring Mineral Wells back", but it surely can't hurt it.

  32. Historically speaking, if a Band wasn't important to an event or to an organization/institution, then why does "The President's own" exist? And as to the question of other Bands wearing "casual" clothing for their official appearance. I've seen it, but I can't find any images of it on the internet. And once again, as long as everyone is wearing the same hat/polo shirt and khaki shorts, I'm fine with it. Good God, when was the last time anyone on this board had to endure watching a whole football game in late August/early September with no shade?

  36. Stop with the bitching about Frisco. The Eastern part of this conference would not be happy with any Texas location. Yet, they have been unable to find anything more to their liking. I think NT is co-sponsor of the tournament in Frisco with the Star. The conference tournament is not a big draw and no location is likely to be anymore attended. I did enjoy Hot Springs and there was near as much to do and the facilities were not upper class either.

  37. I believe Liberty was a pay to get in university for a really long time and the curriculum wasn’t strong or had some religious classes that raised eyebrows. I have a friend that took classes online there so this is second hand knowledge....in any case, Liberty tried to get into the Sun Belt a couple years ago and had the 25 million entry fee ready and they were turned down. Lots of baggage for a university to have quite frankly.

  38. That'll absolutely be what happens. Liberty's a fake university that somehow cheated their way into the FBS. It's only consistent that they bring Briles on. For extra points, they can hire Kenn Starr, too.
