The only way we can get a better bowl is if we can get a better conference. Wren said it best, we just gotta keep winning.8 points

First off, it’s all 3* and they all have other D1 offers. More impressive, though, is how quick they jump on each other’s twitter and “welcome to the family” the new commits. These guys will probably do more to attract talent than our coaches ever could.6 points

I think all commits are trying to come up this Sunday. They are definitely starting to gel together. It’s awesome to see them out recruiting. #GMG5 points

what happens to all of our oral commits if Coach Littrell leaves for a job before December 18? How likely is that to happen? In your interviews with the commits, does idea that Coach Littrell may not be there ever come up in conversation? I'm curious how this plays in to the decision-making process. #GMG5 points

43 bowls now. It's ridiculous. 35 at most is ideal. Really 30 is where I'd like to see it. It's far too saturated now and has lost its meaning.5 points

DRC: UNT finished fourth last season in 247Sports recruiting rankings for C-USA after FAU, Marshall, UAB loaded up late https://www.dentonrc.com/sports/colleges/unt-leading-the-country-in-commitments-among-g-programs/article_c76f74b3-f55a-5765-a430-75b6090a2fe0.html3 points

I think this move was a long time coming. It will hurt three-point shooting percentage but likely not by much, and it will help space the court, which is something that needed to happen. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that it was lengthened to the international length, as international basketball is increasingly becoming an alternative to the NCAA for the top high school prospects.3 points

The best class UNT has ever signed was last years class, 2019. .8282 is the best overall player average. The current class of 2020 is higher at .8289 as of right now. As mentioned above, Riley and Jamario are the two highest rated signed players. Landing a high school 4 star, especially in a good class, would be a landmark and tide turning kind of event for UNT. Needs to happen. Boise is landing 3-4 a year. UH gets 1 here and there as does a few other schools.3 points

1. NTs class is comng along really early. SMU for example has 0 commits yet. Tech and Baylor are also not yet very far in their classes. Are they gonna be more or less likely to be able to poach from NT this season? 2. Given how early the class is coming in so far: is the goal to wrap up early and circle the wagons so you can focs on things other than recruiting, or are coaches about to become really aggressive in trying to sign high 3 stars and maybe even a low 4 star?3 points

Any D-Line recruits, specifically DT/NT that we're targeting?3 points

Christian Lee has absolutely killed it this cycle. And Kade Renfro has jumped right in as well. I have never seen 2 recruits get on the recruiting trail as hard and fast as those two! It been very nice to see3 points

Overall, I’d say the turnout was ok. Unfortunately, it didn’t look as good as Houston’s. I met some alums that aren’t really involved and tried encouraging them to come around more. I hope the AD continue to work on getting more engagement is Austin and doesn’t abandon this stop in the future. My family had a great time and it’s always great getting some face time with the staff and coaches. On a more football note, I had a one-on-one conversation with Littrell and he was very positive about this upcoming season. He’s going to be more involved in the offense and doing things his way, like his UNC days. He said good things about Aune and Bean as Fine backups and eventual replacements. He doesn’t think the offense will skip a beat from last season. Defense sounded more of a question mark but he was excited about some of the younger players. He doesn’t shy away from the fact that this is an area that is more of an unknown. It really does seem like Littrell genuinely enjoy being here, but I really hope we can continue to build up our facilities and fan base to make him want to stay.3 points

I don't twitter, but I do see the imbeds on here and it does seem that way. It's a way to generate good recruiting momentum, particularly if little birdies tell them who our top targets are for them to go after via social media. There are dead periods for coaches, and those are approaching quickly, but there is no dead period for current players/commits. And the "big boys" take advantage of this on a yearly basis. It's littered all over social media. No reason UNT shouldn't.3 points

I know rankings will change as others commit. But what the highest ranking for North Texas? The next milestone needed is to grap a **** player. It something that North Texas has never had, or if we did there ranking dropped after signing with us.2 points

Discuss the wisdom of getting this many commits this early. Last year for instance, NT had no ships available for any maybe more talented late adds. Two members of last year's recruiting class are not on the current roster: de Sow, db Gaddie. What is their status?2 points

Wow, this class is coming together eeeeeaaaarly! Some of the others are gonna catch up, particularly if there were to be a lot of Littrell leaving talk before early signing day. That said, so far NT is way ahead of everyone else right now, ranked 30 nationally on 247. That is 10 spots ahead of the next non-power conference team (Cincy). SMU to name a random example, has yet to announce a single commit (I guess they are going to stealth recruit this season). The fact that only 3 non power conference teams are in the top 50 also says a lot (in more than one way).2 points

Professors should be evaluated on their teaching ability. That is what students pay them for. Tenure allows most to spend their time in research and very little teaching and they are untouchable once tenured. It is a jacked up system.2 points

Yeah, so we have 0 DT commits since the 2018 class. That is a burden that will haunt this team in the future if it's not addressed this class. 1 JUCO DT and 2 HS DT would be ideal.2 points

We have 4 OL commits. I think Williams might be a blue/greyshirt option for he has not been added to the committed class to this point. Of the 4 OL commits we do have, the average height and weight is 6'2.5" 275lbs. Considering these are all high school commits, this is pretty dang good. You are looking at 4 OL that could easily reach 300+ lbs by their sophomore year when they will be called on. Concerning part of it, we have 1 DL commit, a DE. We have to get legitimate and productive DT for this D. 3-3-5 dictates a bonafide NT. We didn't really sign one last class. I think Democo Roland of Broken Bow commited but may have not signed due to whatever reason (academic maybe?). Or he did sign and I'm incompetent at looking up basic information. Nevertheless, if he did or didn't, we are looking at 0 DT's for the 2020 and 2019 classes as it sits. That is a colossal problem. The pro SL people will in SL we trust all day, but this is an issue. A big one. We need 2-3 THIS class. We have 0.2 points

it is lousy bowl but I rather go to a bowl game there than in a bowl game in the Bahamas or Albuquerque. Then again if any of those are our choices I prefer to go to the Frisco Bowl and not have a major expense. Went to the New Mexico Bowl and that was worth the price of admission😐2 points

Every coach, player, parent, student, fan, band member, alumnus, BOR member, major/minor donors needs to get on board with this train of thought. If so, watch out because this place will be special really fast. Love this kid already.2 points
