I like the fact that when they don't need it, it can be deflated and then quickly aired up again when needed. Sort of an "Instant Rice" facility.10 points

Need a rooting interest for the Texas 6A UIL Boys BBall playoffs? NT great and 2018 HOF nominee is the head coach of a squad ranked #8 in the state led by Louisville commit Samuel Williamson. For those curious, NT commit Jalen Jackson's SA Wagner are in the 5A playoffs, so there is no rooting conflict between the two squads.5 points

Ran into a trainer at MJ Performance facility. He said Guyton is tearing it up and thought he would have a killer pro day. He thought Guyton was in the top 2-3 wide outs currently training. He also mentioned that Jordan Murray is also training! GMG5 points

I'm surprised there wasn't the same resistance to the Sack N Save closing. It put a lot of cockroaches out of a job. It's hard for a roach the size of a small child to get a job bagging groceries.4 points

https://meangreensports.com/news/2019/2/21/general-unt-seeks-fans-feedback-ideas.aspx They wanted some ideas/suggestions, so I sent some in. I realize some of mine seem trivial (they probably are), but they are my first-world problems. Below is the response in case you have something similar in mind...GMG!3 points

I love North Texas. I mean, really love North Texas. Still, I know that our success with SL over the last three years is not on the same planet as what those coaches did at those G5 programs.3 points

I heard its a 100 of those sample bags of Takis that not even hungry broke students were taking post game last season.3 points

First of all, I can't understand a down vote for an opinion that is basic common sense. Second of all, if SL wants to move up the food chain, rather than stay and take/push North Texas up the food chain, then he DAMN SURE BETTER FOCUS. Because as much as he has done well here at North Texas, he has not finished well. And finishing well is what gets you hired by programs well up the food chain. AND if 2019 ends like 2018, it's my humble opinion that our REAL AD. (unlike the unreal AD we used to have) will have a "come to Jesus" meeting with him and say something that Queen Victoria (yes, I've been watching the series on PBS) would have said......"we are not amused"3 points

https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/Article/Kortlin-Rausaw-North-Texas-football-recruiting-visit-recap-129331847/ “It’s important because I just want to go to a place where I’m loved,” Rausaw said. “I don’t care about the location or the reputation of the school. If i’m loved and will be set up for success then that’s all I can ask for and UNT is pretty good at knocking off that category.”2 points

I am not sure if other programs do this, but either way, it is awesome that Wren and the program are doing their best to enhance game-day, are seeking out feedback from the fans and it seems actually listening/trying to do something with the feedback. It seems a lot of places that take feedback do so just for the face value aspect to make the customer/fan feel heard, but do nothing with it. Really hope they listen to the in-game crowd interaction suggestions (don't try to pump up crowd when we are on offense, when to do certain cheers, etc...). GMG!!!2 points

I think there was much more of an effort this season! If I’m going to be picky, I’d say: 1) Slow down the video board “North Texas” chant 2) Incorporate “Quiet: Offense at Work” Video 3) Just win, baby!2 points

I'm sorry, but where did you pull the word "horrible" out of my post? Are you one of those people that is so sensitive that anyone making even a suggestion on how you might improve in anything suddenly becomes a "hater"? Anyway, we've already had a coach that took us to multiple bowl games (4), and we won only one of them. He also set some pretty impressive records in winning consistent conference games, and back-to-back national rushing champs. And yet there was only one year (2003) that attendance was noticeably higher than the other three. The other bowl years looked pretty much the same......attendance wise. What was missing in those years is what I call a "hill'a beans" win(s). In other words "how many wins did you have that amounted to a "hill'a beans?" In the four years of that bowl run 2001-2004 the only one was Baylor in 2003. But then, Baylor got beat by everyone that year. Our hill'a beans" wins were SMU and Arkansas. But that was pretty much wiped out by our losses to La Tech, UAB and Old Dominion (not to mention almost losing to Rice, UTEP and UTSA) in the second half of the season. And the exclamation point on our late season swoon was delivered by UTAH St..........just like it was the year before (after our two ass kickings by FAU) by Troy in the NO bowl. We've run up some impressive stats, but as the New England head coach said at a press conference back in 2016....2 points

Is anyone else having a problem renewing their season tix? The website is only giving me the option to make a down payment and says I don't have any renewal application available. I didn't want to spend time calling the ticket office if it's a widespread issue. GMG1 point

I haven’t seen anything from Alcindor or Mark to show me they have a vital roll on this team next season. I saw someone infur that Smart won’t be back, but I am never a fan of letting a senior go because that scholarship will feee up at the end of the year anyway. I am also 50/50 on Jamiah Simmons. He hasn’t made the impact I thought he would have. If you throw him there that would 6 available scholarship. That’s just under half the team on scholarship. That’s pretty significant turnover. FYI I bleed green and love what Mcasland has done. We are in a much better place, but we haven’t had a massive recruit land here. I haven’t seen the excitement surrounding guys like Jordan Williams, Chris Jones, Tony Michell, Reese, TJTaylor, Keith Frazier or Ryan Woolridge.1 point

I really don't understand Rice. They have the funds to invest in athletics... they just don't. They don't necessarily need athletics to be their "front porch" since their academics are renowned, but they appear to be almost letting athletics rot on the vine. This school was in the SWC!! Now, outside of baseball (and now women's b-ball?), they're a bottom-dwelling, also-ran in C-USA. If they wanted to, they could build one of the nicest IPF's in the country. Instead... something is better than nothing, I suppose.1 point

Not that I know for sure what SL did, but I also consider that coaches will let their agents work the field so they can simply leverage higher pay at their current position.1 point

Uh-oh, looks like I had a typo. 😞 We are in section 210, not 110. I'll still let my dad know you say hello! 😁 If I remember your section by the time August comes around, we will for sure come by and say hello. We pass 110 anyways and he and I always take a first game selfie down in the first few rows of section 111/110. What a small world!1 point

Wow!, April 26th is the deadline? It used to be early June. Instead of assuming that this is a "motivational technique", I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that this represents an upswing in interest. I have to admit.......I never really thought I'd see the day.1 point
