People might want our coaches, the NFL might want our players and high school players want to come here. I don't even recognize this program amymore.12 points

He graduated during the ceremony in Albuquerque before the bowl game.9 points

WOW Hate to be negative but this doesn't seem to make sense9 points

Also, he graduated in December. Maybe he wasn’t feeling grad school.8 points
-
I agree. We threw 4 picks that gave them and took away from us 4 possessions. If Fine plays that game that doesn't happen. They were still an overall better team that would've covered the 8 point spread to the tune of something like 38-28. If we had Easly and Rico it's a pick em game, that's the kind of impact those two players had.7 points

I wish this young nothing but great success. Having said that, I would have been much more concerned if it had been Rico Bussy that left early for the draft.6 points
-
Please get drafted in the first 3 rounds!6 points

I am like others. I think he had too many drops this year and seemed to get lost in double teams. I hope he succeeds because it will definitely help our program if he does.6 points
-
???? Who is telling him he is going to be drafted??? This is shocking. He needed a lot better year next year to even be considered in my opinion. Too many dropped passes and when double teamed he disappeared. He was a good receiver for us but I didn't see the next level for him at least not yet. I do hope I am wrong and wish him all the best. This was just a shocking announcement.6 points

why has nobody mentioned anything about the new XFL. That may be his landing place if he doesnt get picked up in the draft.5 points
-
Best of luck to JG!! Have a great pro-day, and he could sneak into the draft. Otherwise, he'll definitely get a shot in someone's camp as a UDFA. How awesome would it be to have 2 dudes drafted after all these years? (assuming Ejiya is going to get picked) Time for one of White/Ogunmakin/Shorter to step up & seize their opportunity.5 points
-
He technically walked during the New Mexico Bowl commencement event they had the night before the Bowl Game. My dad asked Mason that night if he (JG) would be returning as a grad transfer next year and Mason told us yes, so I think this is news to everyone since obviously his plans have changed since that took place. He does have his degree though.5 points
-
As I understand it, a player can declare for the draft and then get a grade from a NFL panel that indicates whether he will be likely a first or second round choice. If he is not judged that good, he can return to the team providing he has not hired an agent. I doubt Guyton has any illusions that he will be that sought after. He is probably hoping to be a late round draft choice. I hope he catches on somewhere. He has the tools just not the consistency at this point.5 points

Guys need to circle November 9th. That game will be for the West Division crown. Glad to have a Brent Stockstill-less MT come back to Apogee. Last time they were here:4 points
-
I find this decision odd only because his production wasnt as great as his first and he had a "TON" of drops this year. Non the less, I want him to go as high as humanly possible in the draft and show the world what he's made of.4 points
-
Guess fighting for a UDFA spot is more appealing to him than another year of CFB. Will he even get a combine invite? Tough road ahead, but I wish him the best!4 points
-
He needs another year. This is premature.4 points

In what world would Dino want that after just signing a massive extension with Cuse? Not true, won't be true. Absolutely not. Baylor is literally a fiery pit of ever-popping shirt buttons, hands that fall asleep for no reason, warm, flat beer, and spiders in your shoes.4 points

Guyton year 1 to year 2 Year Rec. Yards Avg. TD Rec./G Yards/G 2017 49 775 15.82 9 3.8 59.6 2018 54 805 14.91 6 4.2 61.9 Drops was an issue in 2018 but dang y'all are crazy. He was good for us and has skill that commanded opposing defensive coordinators to scheme him out of games. He graduated and was ready to move on.3 points

One thing is that UTSA plays Army the week before so if Army is as good or close to what they were last year or the years we played them, they are going to wear down that defense BUT who knows3 points

To put the 2019 class into perspective... 247Sports started really tracking recruiting in 1999/2000. So that's roughly around 500 recruited and rated players for UNT. This current signed class has 3 top 10 players of those 500 in the 247s database, and 9 top 25 players. This class is historically good for UNT and the staff deserves that recognition.3 points

NFL teams love measurables, and he has them. If he gets a combine invite, then he has a chance to show those off and improve his draft stock. I wish him the best and hope he gets drafted. Hard to tell a guy who has graduated from school that he shouldn't go out and start earning a living.3 points
-
He has to be the most successful JUCO WR we have signed in a LONG time. I know he had the pedigree signing with ND out of high school but he was a huge part of the turnaround. The 19' WR class is considered weak for the most part hopefully he tests well and makes an NFL roster next season. Thank you Jalen!3 points

Best of luck to him. Hope he breaks that draft streak (Cody Spencer ‘04) for UNT this year if hires an agent. Think one more year here would’ve helped his draft stock.3 points

I would like to thank everyone on the forum for giving Waco something else to talk about than Chip and Jojo.3 points

I hope he’s close to finishing his degree more than anything. He seems like a great kid and I hope he kills it in the nfl. Maybe he can be a shorter version of Malcolm Floyd, former Charger. He doesn’t have great hands and isn’t close to a polished route runner, but I’m hoping he rests well so someone can work with him. Some of our best nfl stories came from guys that would not have projected to be good nfl players (waters, cobb, Kassel)3 points
-
I hope he gets drafted. I thought one more season could have helped him, but he can play for sure.3 points
-
College success doesn’t naturally make a draft pick. He has the physical tools, with a big pro day, he may end up 3-53 points

This is Jalen’s fourth year of college. Hopefully he’s close to graduating. Good luck to him3 points

Once they hire an agent, they’re committed. I think?3 points

Well I heard that Nick Saban is leaving Alabama for the Browns job and that Bama is working up a contract with Dabo Swinney and he's going to bring his whole staff with him to Alabama. Clemson is heavily courting Mike Leach from Washington State and that a Realtor in Clemson, SC said that Leach just went into contract on an old pirate ship that was converted into a nice 4/2. Im tracking a private plane out of the Denton Airport in route to Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport and my source that works at the US Jet Center in Town said that Littrell, Harrell and Filani all boarded the plane with a case of "Yellow Bellies" aka Coors and were being very jovial. If you connect all these dots, that could mean we are looking for a new head coach as soon as tomorrow.3 points

My assumption is this: Arizona knows they aren't getting a premier HC candidate in the NFL this go round. They're shooting for the moon in the hopes that Kingsbury is some kind of star on the rise. One thing is, more people are talking about the Cardinals now than... well, ever. I still don't think it works. People pointing to Mahomes and saying that's Kingsbury are ignoring the ridiculous talent Mahomes has and that Andy Reid (while a playoff failure), is an outstanding offensive mind and coach for QBs.2 points
