  1. I thought I was told on this board that Mason Fine would never be able to throw the deep ball... Update he can. He is actually the best in the nation at it..

Completing that dream would be amazing for me.”

  5. You convinced me, let’s join the P5s. Can we sign up on line somewhere, or do we have to do some kind of training first?

  6. Oh yeah? Well, Brett Stockstill is so good at it, he actually doesn't even register on this statistic. He currently has a ball in-flight to the moon that he launched on their opening weekend 35-7 loss to Vanderbilt. It's going to take a while for this pass to be completed. That's why he's the best QB in C-USA!!

  7. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/25503179/kansas-state-hires-north-dakota-state-chris-klieman-head-coach $2.3 million a year with $200k yearly raises. Sure sounds like the unlimited resources all their fans were singing about. This is the hire I expected from the beginning. Will be interesting to see how he pans out. I'm honestly surprised by the low salary compared to p5 salaries.

  9. EJ not being selected to the Senior bowl is complete trash.

  10. That’s a long, long, long way from Top 10 coaches money. I guess they decided to put their giant pile of money into a savings account instead of using it on a coach.

  15. If I'm a booster, I'm not looking for you to hire a guy you know. I'm looking for you to make the best hire. Anyone here in agreement that Kleiman is a better hire than Littrell, Norvell or Brown? I can't imagine many in Manhattan are in agreement either.

  16. http://sportspolls.usatoday.com/ncaa/basketball-men/polls/coaches-poll/ North Texas now with 7 votes, up from 2 votes last week

  17. Another trivia question, when was last time (if ever) North Texas received votes in polls in both football and basketball in the same year?

  18. Just so we’re clear, that is a parody account, not the official account of Marshall’s coach. Also, one of those D-II schools we played because they happened to also be in the Hawaii tournament and another (A&M Commerce) we scheduled because NC State didn’t want to play us in their tournament meant to rack up easy wins.

  21. It’s difficult for us to understand for sure. What you judge as “innocent”, God sees as guilty. Unfortunately, man’s desire to be like God (Re: judge guilt/innocence by our own understanding), is what got us where we are in the 1st place. And you’re right, it’s not up to me to expect all others to agree with me, but it is my hope. And I, as a steward of the Good News, must share it accordingly.

  23. He throws one of the prettiest bombs you’ll see. High accurate arch that gives the WR’s time to adjust. If your a WR on this team your in a damn fortunate place for the next 12-13 months. Rick

  24. I emailed the reporter and he responded quickly with the following. Seems like a nice enough young man. "Thanks so much for the email, my wording was confusing. I’ll change it to “different” Division I school – I meant a new Division I school for E.J. than the one he was originally planning to play for, but I see the confusion there.

  25. Well Mason should have been CUSA MVP. Stockstill was given that.

  26. You know your program is in a spiral when your only player on the all-conference teams is the 2nd team Long Snapper! And your stud LB who was 1st team all-conference & Freshman POY in 2016 barely cracks the honorable mention category.

  29. I would argue winning at NDSU might be the easiest job in college football. Main reason is they constantly build on the success of the past. They have not had a losing coach since the 1950's. They get the best borderline FCS/FBS recruits. They get great FBS transfers. They have a terrific stadium. All of that has built a fanbase that is the most energetic and loyal in all of college football. Their fans come in droves to Frisco for the Championship each year and take over the town. Klienman did not build all of that, he just kept the ball rolling. I see a lot of risk with this hire.

  30. College Football News showing us some love ... Pete Fiutak has the Orange Bowl #1 (of course ... it's Oklahoma vs. Alabama) but look who he has #2! (Yes, over the Cotton Bowl, the Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, etc). Can't read his mind but from his blurb it sounds like our early kickoff actually HELPS us in the rankings, not penalizes us like some of us were thinking. This is awesome! 2. Gildan New Mexico Bowl Saturday, December 15 2:00, ESPN, Branch Field at Dreamstyle Stadium, Albuquerque, NM North Texas vs. Utah State Even with Utah State head coach Matt Wells off to Texas Tech, this should be a wild and crazy shootout. This is how you want to kickoff a bowl season with lots of points and plenty of big plays. https://collegefootballnews.com/2018/12/how-good-is-your-bowl-ranking-the-bowls-from-worst-matchup-to-best/4

  31. I can’t imagine KSSt’s AD has a huge vote of confidence from boosters & leadership right now. Kleiman may wind up being a great hire, but yeah, allowing him to ignore his 1st class is not only ignorant of the AD, but also an indictment of Klieman’s decision making abilities.

  32. Obviously, Seth didn't accept that job based on salary. He is willing to wait for the right opportunity for him. In the mean time, he is our coach. Perhaps there was other factors such as being forced to retain certain coaches or something else but money whipping him did NOT encourage him to take the job. GO MEAN GREEN!!!

  33. I remember a couple of semesters back they told some Navy Vet he couldn’t bring his “service dog” on campus anymore. Same BS outrage insued and later on it turned out his “service dog” wasn’t properly trained and it was just growling and biting other students. Of course that didn’t stop people from jumping to BS conclusions. Same BS here. Just move on, not worth your time.

  35. i guess he will get a bonus on this. I wonder how much it was worth to him. Congrats to him and I know he is an excellent coach but will wait until his team is living by the same rules as the rest of the conference.

  36. Was it really a great accomplishment? CUSA wasn’t strong this year, and he got ridiculous latitude on the players he could bring on for the past 2 years, very pro-UAB for what they were allowed to do player wise. They won’t be very good next year.

  42. I would go with conference flexibility every time. There is no loyalty in this game anymore. Further unlike the MW which has some history between the programs and the Mac for that matter, the AAC doesn’t seem to have that glue. CUSA doesn’t either. Wyoming and Colorado state have been rivals forever, San Diego state and UNLV have a great basketball rivalry. Boise and everybody else is a real conference intrigue. I don’t sense much if any of that in the aac. UCF Memphis maybe, but UCF wins that every time. So no way I tie myself to those programs in the aac just like we don’t desire to tie ourselves to odu fiu and Charlotte. GMG

  44. I have a confession... I was super bitter about getting this bowl game when it was first announced. Now, I am excited about it. Great opponent, great destination for our kids to experience. The potential for recognition with a win is through the roof. I am sad I will not be able to attend because of where it is, but I will be cheering loud from DFW! GO MEAN GREEN! THE SHOW GOES ON!

  45. No sir. He created a "breed" that He knew was "very good" at its creation (Gen. 1:31). But to create man with the capacity to love, He had to create man with free will, and thus, He created man with the capacity to choose to do wrong, to hate, and all that goes with that. So He should destroy us as soon as we do something petty, mean, or evil?

  46. With all due respect, you don't have a universe. That belongs to Someone Else. And He knows best how to deal with a fallen world. No greater moral crime was ever committed than the killing of His own innocent Son, and He permitted that to take place to rectify all the moral crimes that you and I and the rest of us have perpetrated on His universe.
