Hell, I'll be his Bell Hop. Man knows football, how to win and knows how to recruit Texas. He isn't innocent by any means in the whole Baylor thing but I feel like he got thrown under the bus a little bit and doesn't deserve to be Black Listed.5 points

Saw that Jeremy Combs has been able to play basketball again. This time for Johnny Jones at Texas Southern. He's starting and seems healthy again. Great place for him with JJ. They are playing a killer non conference schedule so Combs will get to play against quality opponents. Wish him and JJ all the best. Hope we can get them on the schedule next year. JJ will build a strong program.4 points

I honestly think the ODU loss (the WAY we lost) will hurt attendance for this game more than the cold/weather. Of course, there's no way to quantify that... Thursday night at 8:30 is the main factor though. I'll be surprised if there are more than 12k butts-in-seats.4 points

Zach nailed it when he did this a couple of years ago when he nailed Seth coming to North Texas. I don't think he nailed it this year at all. It may be unpopular opinion but I would take Papa briles over GH.4 points

Not advocating for art briles Jimmy. Advocating that I want no part of GH as head coach. I prefer neither.3 points

Im with you Salsa, Why would someone schedule a game on a Tuesday!!! These schools are 3 hours away from each other so you are kind of almost guaranteeing no visiting Fans coming in to watch the game. College football should be on Saturdays with a couple exceptions during the holidays. Tuesday Night Football doesnt do any school any favors in my opinion3 points

Since our early exit from the 2017/18 CUSA tournament, we have compiled the following record. Record: 9 - 1 Points For: 82.3 Points Against: 64.3 Average Margin of Victory: 20 pts. I don't know what changed, but that is an impressive stretch. The closest game (win) was the 5 pt. win over Portland and the greatest margin of victory was the 45 pt. win over Humboldt State. That is a great stretch especially considering the first 6 games in this stretch were post-season, CBI games.2 points

Mike Leach has Washington St in the top 10. I’m not really a fan of his, but you can’t argue with his success.2 points

Played our best two games, SMU and Arkansas, in our green on white and all white traditional looks. Coincidence? I think not.2 points

It's hard to believe that we lost to a school that has a video production team that consists of four guys with Sony Handycams, a single tripod, and a video splitter. I'm just not dealing with that very well and I get nauseous everytime I try to watch the video replays.2 points

I think Graham will be good one day. He has just proved this season he is a couple years away. Not afraid of a down vote or two.2 points

Covering up wide spread sexual assault by his football team isn't baggage. It's criminal. The man is a crook and I could give a shit if he never steps a mile from a college football field again in his life.2 points

Are you sure you guys didn’t start this just to get away from Evan, bc only 10 of 38 minutes was recruiting talk...2 points

I think SL knows that following a legend isn't a really smart decision. You always want to be the coach who follows the guy who gets fired after the coaching legend quits.2 points

Think about the number of folks that would "Rally" that actually follow the program and show up to the games. Im willing to bet that 90% or more of those folks could give a crap about UNT Football or the athletic program.2 points

Seth Littrell may become the topic of 'power five' job speculation, but he's focused on his 'great opportunity' at UNT https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/college-sports/untmeangreen/2018/11/13/seth-littrells-name-may-get-attached-coaching-carousel-focused-great-opportunity-unt2 points

This is one of your worst posts. These kids don’t know how to handle expectations bc there haven’t been any. Media and fans saw undefeated season in front of us they couldn’t shoulder burden. Play calling also went to shit.2 points

Great football weather on Thursday for those who can handle clear skies, mid to upper forties, and light winds. Heavy winds can be a problem, but 6 mph is fine.2 points

I think the stadium holds like 20k if they play it on the campus of CCU. Frisco hold more people. Everyone under the P-5 level should start thinking about and forming regional conferences. The dollar are shrinking for the little people. We have to boost attendance to make revenue. Some schools may like who is in their conference but it going happen.2 points

FAU 38 North Texas 24 We have yet to beat an FBS team with a winning record this season. FAU is 5-5, so the hex won't end this week. The deciding factor in my projection are the comments Littrell just made on the radio program. Paraphrasing.... "The team just needs to get back to doing what they do, and our problems aren't really with the X's and O's." Until our coach understands that adjustments probably need to be made after defenses adjust to what we are doing, I believe we will continue to struggle with the better teams.2 points

Last November 12, NorthTexan95 made an award-winning post. After reading his post, I marked the date on my calendar. Today is Banner Day and I dug out two excerpts from his post which capture the essence of it: "Two years ago today I posted images on Facebook of the "Fire Rick Villarreal" banner flying over Denton. I'm assuming the banner was actually flown on that same day." "I was a proud supporter of this banner. Perhaps from now on we should refer to November 12th as "Banner Day". " As a fellow veteran of that war, I wanted to post this lest we forget. Happy Banner Day to all!2 points

31-27 North Texas Mean Green rise up from the ashes of last week and knock off FAU. Revenge is best served COLD!2 points

Wow. I'm a trend setter. I know everyone on this board did not agree with flying the banner and I don't know if it had any impact in the decision to move on from RV. However, we can all agree that since that period of time the arrow for North Texas Athletics has been pointed upward and moving fast.2 points

We will be up by double digits, then get to an extra points play or a 4 and 1 deep in our own territory and decide to call the exact opposite what would make sense to 99% of football fans. The play will go horribly wrong, and the players will pout their way to a loss for the 4th time during conference play. Littrell will comment how "things just didn't go our way" and "we just have to be better" while staring at the ground and not making eye contact during the post game press conference. Wren will start posting "Light the Tower" posts on Twitter and FB for the Coed Underwater Basketweaving Team's win against UT Permian Basin. Ticket office will begin their planning for how to excite us into 5-10% season ticket increases come the new year. It will include a powerful statement about a win against a SEC team that is only able to beat Vanderbilt. Coaches wives will begin picking their swimsuits for Nassau for our trip to the Bahamas Bowl. GMG will proceed to eat itself alive And then the sun will rise on Friday morning2 points

Old man problem #117: Anyone else struggling to read the names and numbers on some of these jerseys? Last week's gray and dark green letters on black are tough on my contrast meter. Gold letters on black, as Iowa has, pop better. And yes, I understand it is not all about me, and others like me. GMG1 point

Is another bowl going away? I seems like we already have a few 5-7 teams eligible to play in some every year. Adding another bowl will just open up more 5-7 teams to play.1 point

VOTED! FIVE DAYS plus an hour to go in Round 2. Uncle Miltie is First at 3,554 votes (32%); Mason is in Second at 3,302 (30%); and OU Dude has moved past Gumshoe to regain Turd at 1,666 votes (15%). That was a devilish move! The respective vote gains in the last 24 hours were 29, 672, and 794/2 (Est. - was at 872 votes a couple of days ago; made a move on Gumshoe). Mason's votes to make up are 252 at this writing, so the goal is in reach. Mean Green voters, keep on voting!1 point
