There is someone down-voting positive feedback about our team...it is in many different topics now. I got down-voted by someone for saying I thought we had Top 25 potential this season.4 points

https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/Article/North-Texas-Mean-Green-lock-down-Hawaii-Rainbow-Warriors-remain-unbeaten-124621134/ Hawai’i (2-1) was shell shocked from the pace North Texas opened with and the crisp execution of their transition and half court offenses. This was led by junior point guard Ryan Woolridge who was named the MVP of the classic after the game.4 points

16 points is all that separates us from an undefeated season. I wish we had those wins, and this last one was very disappointing, but I'll be there cheering Thursday night and in San Antonio at the end of the season. I know there are a bunch of other programs that wish they had our problems right now. #GMG4 points

Added bonus with the Plantin pickup is that he’ll be here for spring ball. I think we should move Woodworth to left tackle, then have a three-man competition for the two tackle spots between Woodworth, Brammer, and Plantin. If Woodworth is the odd man out then you start him at left guard. If Plantin is the odd man out then you let him compete with Preston (I like his game) for the left guard spot. Then if Brammer is the odd man out then stick with Preston at left guard. The Mose brothers have center and right guard solidified. That’s a decent group to help maximize Fine’s senior year and keep him upright more than he was this year.4 points

I will be there as well because I am not a fair weather fan. This was a complete debacle, but I am and will always be a UNT fan.4 points

Agree. If we could have a coach who over 5-10 years averaged 8-4 regular season I'd take it, especially given our 50 year history of 4-8. I thought the loss to ODU was really bad. Our worst under Seth but the overreaction on this board is a bit much. I stayed away for a couple days.3 points

Glad to see Woolridge starting to get some of the recognition he deserves. He is one of the best players in the league, and has been largely ignored by the media.3 points

Frustrating foul call there that led to a three when it should have been our ball. This is the first time I am getting to see this team play and boy are they quick and the ball movment is near perfect. A few bad plays here or there, but this team looks like it has great chemistry and great athleticism. Excited to see what we can do with a healthy Arikawe, Muhammed, and Smart.3 points

its with all of you. you. and you. and your mom. and with me. and definitely with you. so many of you asshats yell about personal responsibility and then never take an ounce of it in your own lives. you built the expectations. this team goes 4-0 and everyone starts dreaming of going undefeated and top 25s and national publicity...because the only reason any of you care about the results are so you can go into our shitty jobs and have a moment of win at the water cooler and respite from your otherwise mundane lives. this team was never great. it was and is a good football team with flaws. and good teams win games they shouldn't and lose games they should not have. it's seriously as if none of you have ever watched sports. this program has been horrible for a decade. we start to get even a modicum of respectability and competitive football and the lot of you fall over yourselves to by the #1 worst fan...claim you're done with the program...complain publicly about how much you spent (more self-importance)... success and improvement are not linear. everyone should be disappointed, but try and have some semblance of perspective.3 points

Staff projects this kid as left tackle. I think he will def be an upgrade from Murray. Woodworth lg Mose c and rg Brammer rt.3 points

My observations: 1. I am a huge fan of RB Jr. but there seems to be an overreliance on him this year. We seemed to spread the ball around more last year. Lawrence has produced in spurts, same with the TE's and Darden. Not sure if that is by design, Fine taking what is given, etc... 2. Guyton, with all that talent, either drops balls that hit him in the hands or just flat out disappears during games. Not sure what the problem is but it has to get fixed. 3. Our play calling is predictable. I am not asking for trick plays but we seem to rely on a few successful plays. Then again, this may be a product of the system that is based on reads and not necessarily set plays in the passing game. 4. Our defense keeps extending drives with penalties at the wrong time. Many are just plain stupid. 5. I think SL walks a fine line between being a player's coach and letting the players have some fun and holding them accountable. I am a big SL fan but I would like to see him chew somebody out every now and then. Just my observations from a distance.3 points

I totally understand your frustration, but a real fan never stops following their team. As fans we can express our anger and demand better from the coaching staff and administration, but at the end of the day, for better or worse, they are still our team. If they are no longer your team, then there is no reason to even type your post.3 points

Seth is still a very new head coach. He's learning and the second half flops he will need to work this wrinkles out. All this depressing whining really gets old. what are you going to do next year when the heart of the defense is gone? No one is saying much about the three and out play calling from the OC? Passing is working ,try to run then we lose because we can't make a yard in several games now. Hay look at the good in all this our coaches will be around next fall!2 points

What's done is done, but did anyone else notice the uncalled facemask on the last play of the game? I stood and shouted "FACEMASK!" at Killarney's, but no one else seemed to react to it, so I thought maybe I was imagining things...until I saw Monarch fans commenting on the same thing on their board: https://csnbbs.com/thread-862716-page-4.html I rewatched the end of the game and even the ODU homer commentators thought there was a facemask. Would it have impacted the game had it been called? Well, at the very least, we would have had an un-timed offensive play to end the game (since the game can't end on a defensive penalty). The 15 yard penalty would have put the Mean Green at the ODU 38 yard line. One last shot at the end zone for the win or a 55 yard field goal try to send the game into overtime. (I believe Cole Hedlund's longest to date has been a 51 yard field goal.) I guess we'll never know.2 points

Don’t forget Muhammed and Miller who can both ball out as well. Throw in Arikawe for a little muscle and we have a solid ten guys.2 points

Powerful... Would you recommend the same for St Augustine? I didn't put any down last year and still had great results in the spring.2 points

Are you kidding me? No ones gonna want him now. We shouldn’t want him. We should fire him, burn down his house and whip him with a car antenna. (#sarcasm)2 points

Jalie Mitchell teams are 1-0 versus ranked teams and 1-1 against the Big 12. Win - @Oklahoma(17) 61-57 (11-16-2015) Loss - Kansas State 55-54 (11-19-2017) It could be another close game. Should be a fun game regardless.2 points

The fan support/program success chicken and egg argument will go on forever. But we can only directly impact one of them. We should do that. Was yesterday an awful loss, sure? No chance I’m going to make a single excuse for that, but the arrow is still pointed up.2 points
