  5. I'm not dumping on him. I'm just stating that he's really struggled at LT and he has a ways to go. If he's on the "fast track" then that seems to say more about the lack of depth at the position.

  6. Brammer is big, athletic, and has a great deal of 'try'. I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt before we dump on him.

  15. The issue is that the prescribed laws that we were talking about earlier in this thread--and similar prohibitions proposed by legislators currently--were in place in CA at the time of this incident, and they had absolutely no effect on this event as a deterrent. It illustrates my point about this type of legislation not addressing root cause for these events, which were not widespread in the past. What in our society, and what stressors have changed, such that this behavior is becoming more frequent?

  18. I am currently saving $960 a year (3 season tickets in Scholarship Sideline). I am getting access through YouTube TV (owned by google) I went to YouTube TV for $40 per month vs the DirecTV at $120 a month. I save $80 per month and I can watch TV on any device anywhere including my tailgate. I have unlimited DVR and have not missed one second of DirecTV. I am still paying through YouTube TV for Live local channels, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, SEC Network, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, Big10 Network, Fox Sports, FS1, FS2, Golf Channel, MLB Network, NBA TV, NBCSN, NESN, Olympic Channel, Tennis Channel, TNT, and Yes. By dropping the other 190 channels that I never watched I save $960 a year, but I am still supporting the sports networks I watch. I have the same internet package since I did not have TV through Comcast. Here in Houston when the 5G home (5th generation wireless) comes to my neck of town I will fire comcast as fast as possible and save another $70 per month... $840 per year. Next year, when my daughter will be a freshman on campus, I will be able to afford 3 tickets (with MGSF donation included), a Blue Lot Parking pass, and still have $106 per game for tailgating supplies by cutting the cord and finally being able to fire Comcast...

  22. https://www.underdogdynasty.com/2018/11/8/18075662/choosing-c-usa-week-11-predictions-fiu-panthers-football-cusa-g5-picks North Texas at Old Dominion (UNT -14.5, 3:30 PM ET on ESPN3) I still think there’s potential in this ODU team...but potential and execution are two different things. Mason Fine and the Mean Green have executed very well most of the year. North Texas 35, ODU 17

  25. Right, but apparently since ESPN wholly-owns the bowl game now, they want butts-in-seats and ratings (re:money). They don't care about Dallas' hotel business.

  29. You’ve peaked my interest. Looks like you have access to ESPN3 if you have YouTube TV, correct? (Unlike Spectrum now). However, it looks like there is no opt for beIN Sports. Ugh. If that situation doesn’t get hammered out soon, I hope CUSA moves away from that network.

  31. I bet those greys look a lot cooler up close and that's why the players like them. From the stands, they look like dingy white that got thrown in the washer with the dark clothes. Miami (OH) had some sharp looking greys on last night.

  32. How did I get there? your words...unless of course they were predictably hollow and you only meant them to distance from any semblance of blaming our country's weird gun culture. what then is "Mental Health reform" if not expanding and making more affordable the access to it for everyone? maybe this guy tried to get help and found his shitty insurance wouldn't cover it and he couldn't afford it. as for police, in the course of two posts you did this: - "This man was approached twice in the past by law enforcement due to odd behavior and they did nothing. - "Police are trained to serve and protect not diagnose." you lay blame on the police and then immediately absolve them from responsibility. it's a amazing mental gymnastics. or its crazy and we need to circle back to the issue of mental health reform.

  33. so you're suggesting either/both that we need to expand healthcare for all and/or that our police officers need to be better trained. agreed. what a day.

  38. Gonna leav this here https://www.rockchalktalk.com/2018/11/5/18064758/kansas-jayhawks-football-potential-head-coach-candidate-tracker-week-10 Lots of Mention of SL (and somebody even links the stupid NT daily opinion somebody wrote). But even Kansas fans aren't sure they can get SL and think the buyout is at least somewhat of problem. How Frank Wilson is still on these lists absolutely baffles me.

  41. Gibson is a little bigger and stronger than last year. Aside from scoring 32 pts I thought he played a fairly smart game for a guy with not much experience in college games. Jahmiah Simmons will be a very useful player around the rim. He's physically strong and looks like he will be a good rebounder. Tikhonenko is a wide body and appears willing to fight for loose balls and rebounds but needs to work on his shooting. If anyone is interested in the ladies, it looks like we finally have some size to match up with our guard play. I'm interested to see how the season pans out for the ladies.
