I’m thankful for the formating on this forum. Every time someone gives a link to another fan site it always looks like a chat room from the late 90s12 points

We have threads about kettle corn longer than that. Every time I see other fans message boards im thankful for gomeangreen.com and we have way more die hard fans than our peers.11 points

I'm confused. But he just talked without his shoulder pads? Unless his shoulder pads sent that tweet out.7 points

I was hoping for the polar bear (all white) look we wore and were so successful with against Arkansas. Win ! GO MEAN GREEN7 points

I looked through his past predictions and found the following: He Picked La Tech over UAB He Picked UNT over La Tech If his predictions are going on the same trajectory, I love his prediction of UAB over UNT.6 points

People, including SL, keep saying our offense has been off last 3 games. I would respectfully submit to you that our offense hasn’t been appreciably different in last 3 games, but our perspective has changed with ending point totals. Something that gets overlooked in the excitement of those big wins early, the “team” scored more points via special teams and defensive TDs, but the offense did not. Vs SMU 46 points (14 off int return for TD and kickoff returned for TD): net 32 points VS IWU 58 points ( all offense but 2 picks led to short fields), FCs team VS ARk 40 points (14 points off punt return for TD and INt return for TD): net 30 points. Vs Liberty 47 ( all offensive points), but we had several short TD droves due to weather, turnover on downs and the most horrific punting I have ever seen. Since then it’s been 29, 27, and 30. La Tech didn’t make mistakes, and so our scoring drives were 60,70,80+ yards. Offense has scored between 27-32 points in 5 of our 7 games. That’a a narrow, consistent range over most of our games. If we want more than 30, that has normally requires ST or DEF.5 points

I like the combo but Im a bigger fan of Green Helmet, White Jersey and Green Pants5 points

I always hear people claim that this is important to the recruits and that the players love them, etc... but have never heard a recruit or player ever say a word about them. Is this just speculation or is there some sort of verifiable proof? Back on topic, not a fan of this look. Our all whites, white with green helmets or green helmet, white shirt, green pants are my favorites. I love the black accents but prefer our traditional colors.4 points

I think uniforms are pretty far down the list of why recruits come to UNT...I'm fine with wearing different combos, but when it gets to the point where we are wearing bad combos like this then count me out.4 points

DRC: UNT coach Seth Littrell, UAB coach Bill Clark site a change in culture for their dramatic rise https://www.dentonrc.com/sports/football-unt-uab-to-meet-after-parallel-turnarounds/article_0532e387-9390-58a9-ad19-27125248450e.html4 points

https://meangreennation.com/2018-north-texas-at-uab-preview/ Get your fill. Everyone is calling this a close one, and so I think it will not be close. I am a mean greener so my gut tells me not to believe. But I do believe. I believe with all my heart.3 points

Here's the article: https://www.ntdaily.com/mean-green-look-to-take-control-of-c-usa/ And some responses(In the comments) I didn't think Rico was talking trash, but maybe that's just how I read it. Seemed more like a "we can't worry about them, we can only worry about us" type deal, but I can see why it would be taken that way. One UAB player tweeted something about "We only talk with our shoulder pads" but I can't find it. Seems like they might have some bulletin board material Edit: Found the Tweet3 points

Hell at this point 3/4 of their team has a mortgage and multiple kids. I mean have you see Erdely? Dude screams "I'm a middle aged suburban dad"3 points

Kids love all the different options. Being able to tell recruits that "We never wear the same combinations in the same year" is absolutely a selling point to a 17 year old kid.....plus I think they look pretty cool anyways3 points

What happened their 2nd game of the season isn't all that pertinent to what we'll be facing on Saturday. How the two teams have been performing in their most recent games is a better indication of what to expect.3 points

Fantastic. That comment is already in this dude’s head. Dude is nervous as heck staring down the barrel of 3 Belitnikoff nominees, the most productive one of which, just said he plans on doing whatever he wants to you... Do you ‘talk’ in pads down there? Or do you ‘listen’?3 points

I think what he meant to say they said was "North Texas - you complete me".3 points

because the players love it. and recruits love it. and with out players and recruits we might as well were nothing because we will be back to the dodge years, just hoping we dont go 100% defeated instead of dreaming of UNDEFEATED3 points

Hey guys, Our plan is to start the Green Globe podcast back up early next month just prior to the season starting. Wanted to open the line for questions. What do you guys have for us?2 points

I think the proof is in the fact that the athletic department is going to the time and expense of having multiple uniforms each season. Why would they go to the added expense if the department didn't believe there was a return on that investment?2 points

I've seen them do literally everything you mentioned in the last 5 years or so, even before this AD. They're trying. At the end of the day, there's no magic bullet. The magicest bullet is winning consistently. Things are certainly trending up. Just keep winning.2 points

Need to win in the NT throwbacks to exercise the demons or they will always be smu gray to me. arkansas icy white reminds me of Texas and penn state. We should combine that with a whiteout for fau or at least arrive in the bowl game in those great unis. GMG2 points

last year everyone was over the moon for BEIN. They did a true pre game, halftime, and post game show on our game (not like ESPN, that just uses those outlets to hype their other games). Remember last year when Donovan McNabb did one of our games and was pretty darn good at it. This year, they happened to get into a peeing contest with Direct TV and is not being offered on their network. That is not CUSA's fault and before that all thought it was good being on BEIN vs ESPN 3 or others. That being said, im pretty tied to Direct TV so i am not happy about it, but im not going to fault CUSA over it.2 points

Thanks. Actually, I remember having the option to record the previous game on this crappy network. Hope we are done BeIn after this year. Time for the CUSA office to step up and get a better media deal. I would actually prefer Facebook over all the other options.2 points

The Blazers started off as a one-point favorite at home but the line has shifted to their being a one-point underdog at this point. If you look at the schedules it is clear who has played the superior opposition to this point, and not only that, the team that has (North Texas, duh) has beaten some of that superior competition. Arkansas may be having a down year, but teams like the Mean Green do not typically waltz into SEC country and act like they own the place with buttwhoopin’s like the one they gave the Hogs. Just too much mean in this Green to go any other direction with your play. Prediction: Pick: North Texas -1 https://statsalt.com/games/ncaaf/10-20-2018/north-texas-vs-uab-expert-prediction-3079/2 points

Exactly. Coaches know how hard it is to be successful at any level. You strike while the iron is hot and secure your family’s future. Seth will leave for more money and a chance to coach at a P5 program. Money talks and bullshit walks.2 points

3 things: 1. I agree with the Selfless/Disciplined angle somewhat. 2. Say it to their faces? 2. If they continue to sack QBs in key situations, they could fully re-enact the Nutcracker for all I care. This is the kind of thing that keeps the team "excited to play", which, next to "reset", "dominate their ass", "all 3 phases" & "for 4 quarters" is the team's combined mantra. Do we want to stifle the "excited to play" piece? I don't, because that's how squeaking out games VS UTEP creeps up.2 points

- Repair Grey Goose fountain in Athletic Department, or put it on Craigslist. - Welfare check on Tina Yothers. - Figure out how to get Portland State's USDE/CHEA accreditations revoked so they can no longer be a real thing & we can erase that blip in history. - Purchase "pageantry" & bequeath as a gift to Green Brigade.2 points

I'm annoyed that things like this are even a penalty. I'm fine with penalizing if they're taunting in an opponent's face, but come on... Let players have some fun!2 points
