UNT will be trailing at the half, but coming out of the tunnel mid way through the 3rd quarter will be Jeffrey Wilson, riding on the back Bryce English, riding on the back of Raveon Hoston, which will catch FAU by surprise and spark a UNT rally for the victory. If these events occur as I have described them, and I have no reason to believe that they won't, I believe they will be the key to the game and UNT will win.

Me: Not sure yet, maybe a team called Troy or maybe Arkansas State. Wife: Oh...pause... Where? Me: New Orleans, you interested in going? Wife: Absolutely, I have been looking for a reason to get back to New Orleans for a weekend. It sounds like fun. The kids would love it also. Me: It's no guarantee they are going to New Orleans. There are other teams they might play. Wife: Like who? Me: There is a decent chance they might play someone from the Mountain West. SDSU, Fresno, Colorado State. Wife: Oh...pause... Where? Me: Albuquerque Wife: Ugh. Count me out. I have no interest taking a trip a couple of weeks before Christmas to go to Albuquerque. No thanks. I kid you not. This was the conversation. I can't imagine that I am alone.

Old Denton - Rejoined the FBS, didn't really invest in sports and was fine with the Big West and Sun Belt. RV build a bridge to new Denton through facilities. New Denton - Invest in sports proportionally, upgraded to Conference USA, and has the expectation they we continually get better and compete for a bowl slot. Real Denton - Understands that we still have a new coach, young team, have struggle against better competition all year, and our running back is out for the post season. N So essentially going out of town to watch North Texas play an opponent Wren Baker could get to come to Denton anytime? I am all for the players having a good time. But I doubt they would be particularly excited about playing Troy. Not all G5 programs are equal. If all G5 are equal why did we celebrate getting into CUSA? Why do we debate about moving to the MWC if given an opportunity? We need to play a program that is well known and Troy is not that. People aren’t making trips to see a Troy vs North Texas they are going to party in the French Quarter a game against Troy is secondary in the experience for most I would assume.

Yep, resigns immediately. Will not coach the regular season finale or bowl game. Hearing 7.5 million per year and a 10-year contract. TEN YEAR contract. Texas AM is dumb as a box of rocks. Want to get someone to not work hard and strive for greatness? Get a retread coach and give him a 40 or 50 million dollar buyout. Kind of a side not, but I have been against paying players since the beginning. Now, considering the rise in coaching contracts and gaudy overpriced facility upgrades...I say pay the players and pay all of them. Bring in contracts, agents, endorsements, etc. and drain these money grubbing financially arrogant universities for as many dimes as one can.

Weren't we in on this guy for a long time during his original H.S. recruitment? Maybe this ace recruiter knows him well enough to convince him to come on back like he did? Think this guy, this guy, or this guy would like to move closer to home? This guy & this guy may be out of our range (Freshman All-Americans last year), but maybe they'd like to come home & play with a former H.S. teammate? Think this current NT commit could convince this guy or this guy to come over to NT?

It is obviously going to take a while. The unappealing oc home schedule is a significant factor for many. I used to go to nearly every home game until the second year of Benford. Last year I went to two games. I hope to make a lot of the conference games this year and hope it doesn't take long for NT to build attendance to at least the Jones era.

Oh how the times have changed... 24 months ago we had 1 win at this time..... Now we are griping about the BOWL we are headed to...
