  1. Unless you have a lot of information that most of us don't, your post is way over the line. Is the screen time worth making a complete ass out of yourself.

  2. Dude, that is just standard procedure. Hiring an attorney is smart, not an admission of guilt.

  3. UNT90. Back in mid season form I see. No idea what the situation is, no inside info so yes let's speculate wildly about this. You are incredibly off base as usual, but as long as you give yourself the out that anyone who disagrees with your diatribes is blindly following Wren then you can never be wrong right? Disagreement is fine, but why do you feel the need to come out of your hibernation on a topic like this? Because you truly care about UNT athletics or because you are a bit of a jerk?

  4. Good thing we kept Benford around for the full year to keep the guys focused on academics or whatever.

  5. You are so full of it. The current staff had been on campus a month. They sent Brice packing. If they already knew what was going on with him, it could only have been for a couple of weeks, max. You have no idea what you are talking about, but you will keep blathering to delude a few saps into believing that you do.

  6. Since the investigation is being conducted by UNTPD it is a good move to conduct an independant and broader investigation. Hiring counsel is a smart move by anyone under criminal investigation and when faced with potential civil litigation. I don't see any indication of covering anything up.

  8. I like that the University brought in Bond Schoeneck & King to look into this. Getting someone from the outside without any axes to grind shows the University is serious and want to be as transparent as possible. I'm sure some with agendas will suggest otherwise.

  13. This is nothing like what happened in Baylor! A sexual assault was reported and authorities investigated on the report and now we are seeing results from that investigation. At Baylor, sexual assaults were reported and little to no action was taken leading to those bad actors making more sexual assaults. If anything, this shows that just because you are or were an athlete at North Texas does not make you immune to legal consequences. North Texas appears to have handled this as best they possibly could have.

  14. Bringing in someone from the outside is a really good way to have an objective, non-biased look at what is happening within an organization. If you want a cover-up you do the investigation yourself. I see the outside investigation as a good thing as it shows we have proper controls in place for organizations like the NCAA and federal government (Title 9 concerns, etc) should anyone come in asking questions. As to the Texas Rangers assisting with serving some warrants, I think they have bigger, more important cases to handle ... like the officer involved shooting out in Balch Springs.

  15. So we allow guns on campuses and not weed? We'll never close the gap on the P5's.

  16. All I have heard about is an "Investigation" and Brice being arrested with what amounts to a ticket in most states now days. But some how, he has become the face of what's alleged, as if its all true. From everything I know about Brice is he's a very nice young man, that's never been in any trouble EVER. Not even been in a fight before. Now, based on accusations alone, he's being looked at like he's Frank Lucas, running a prostitution ring. Obviously, he's made a bad decision, that will affect his life. It's totally possible, that the alleged "promoting prostitution" could be offering weed for sex, from a single person. It's also possible, that the alleged "organized criminal activity", could be the belief that the purchase of weed, was to profit, in some way, including using it bargain for sex. Outside of actually having weed in his possession, the other accusations could come from a single source. And finally, it's very possible, that the source could be untrue. Guess what guys- some college students smoke marijuana, and some students sell it to the students that smoke it. I know this is a surprise to some, but this happens. Also, news flash, some student athletes get accused of things, sometimes its true, sometimes its false. Let's let the Investigation complete before we mark everything accused as being true. I find it odd, that if warrants are issued for other students, that they haven't been arrested. I doubt any of them are hard to find.

  17. The "current staff" Vito references is what Dr. Smatresk calls "the current coaches." But I'm guessing you didn't bother reading the article before you started throwing out your opinion on it.

  20. Oddly sometimes it is better to not be drafted in last two rounds .... players can then sign with which team they want to be on and where they feel like they have the best chance of making the team. That is the ultimate goal ... Make the team...... . [ not just my opinion, have heard/read that several times ]

  32. Your logic holds no water, that's like saying Paterno has no culpability for Penn State. It happened under their nose. They hired/recruited the responsible parties. We don't have all the facts but if they are alleging a criminal conspiracy, then it's doubtful March 30th was the first occurrence. If true and depending on the facts, Benford is undeniably culpable.

  34. Too many complaints. McCasland is getting better players in here and NT will improve. Baby steps people. You can't ask for a 10 seed in the Tournamnet next year just yet. Win the conference and keep improving from there....

  35. Now I am wondering, since at least one is a guy transferring out, if their transferring is just a coincidence. If not this specifically maybe McCasland made a targeted effort to "clean house" with some stuff that had maybe been swept under the rug previously. We know this happened with the football program, with several guys leaving when SL came in due to off the field issues.

  37. I have never understood why North Texas has never seemed to take advantage of the excellent educational programs it offers to benefit other departments such as athletics. Athletics could have offered internships for years to kids in RTVF, Advertising, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Graphic Design, Retail Management, etc... at a benefit to all involved. Why not capture the music crowd and have the One O'Clock Lab Band perform after a game? The opportunities our limitless, and we could have been, or could be, ahead of the game in athletic promotions, uniform design, and so on. It just appears from the outside to be a big opportunity lost.

  38. Ok, so many of you are ready to throw the towel in on fine. He was a true freshman, but you think he can't improve. You all say that the transfer qb is the one who has the success. Can I just throw out one example.
