  1. I’m confused, are we still firing Littrell this week or not?

  3. Couple of thoughts on this game. 1. Darden is just so, so good. I know everyone knows this, but it just makes the game look so easy. A great combination of unbelievable physical skills, the drive to work hard and the best part is his understanding of the game which probably goes back to his HS QB'ing days. 1a. Man, Bean looked like a different player tonight. Confident, decisive and a leader. Loved the shot of him on the sideline smiling. His speed is special and really adds another dimension to our offense. After seeing him standing by himself on the sidelines during the last

  4. Big shoutout to Bloesch and that o-line as well

  5. The talent on this offense is overwhelming. Then look at our high school skill player commits, we have: - A 6’4” QB with 32 TDs/1 INT through 7 games this year and more arm talent than any QB commit I’ve seen us get, currently being coached up by Mason Fine - Two wide receivers with P5 offers - A running back with multiple SEC offers - A tight end who was offered by Texas and LSU at one point - A 6’5” 325 lb offensive tackle with multiple P5 offers. Defense still has some progress to make but I think the talent is not an issue there. Offense, we’re gonna be tough

  6. Based on the way tonight's game went, there shouldn't be any controversy. Bean is our starter in our next game. But the way the season has gone, the precedent has been set--if any QB isn't doing well, he's getting pulled for the other guy, and pretty quick.

  8. The difference in Bean tonight, to me, was the confidence he showed. He looked comfortable throwing the ball, was decisive with the option reads and didn't look hesitant to run the ball. He is an incredible talent, and my knock on him in the past was that he looked overwhelmed with the game. Man, he looked so much better tonight. Every game will obviously not be this easy, but if he can just lead like he did tonight, then he can be a game changer. I disagree that we have average QB's. We have two inexperienced QB's that just need to gain experience and grow. They have different skill se

  10. I am in favor of playing the hot hand. If one is doing poorly. Put the other in and hope for better success. I am happy that SL made the move as soon as the turnovers piled up instead of trying to work through them with the same QB causing the turnovers.

  11. So.. Darden is legitimately one of the best WR in ALL of college football, right?

  12. Hard to say a team that just put up over 700 yards of offense has more room for improvement, but with Bean taking over there are definitely some new areas that we can exploit. Right now our backs and tight ends have combined for just 14 catches for 135 yards on the season. With Bean and our loaded backfield, teams are going to be forced to sellout on the run. With Darden in the slot on one side, safety help is going to be hedged over his way. This should leave the seems wide open on play action plays going forward. This week we saw the Murphy twins finally get a chance and come throu

  13. We signed 3 defensive line commits last class who all had multiple offers from P5 conference schools. The 4th d-linemen from last class is starting as a true Freshman (Tashoyn Johnson). O-line recruiting hasn’t been impressive but we just landed a transfer from Oklahoma State and got a commit from a high school offensive linemen who had offers from 4 different P5 conference schools. It is coming along on the lines, but even more importantly, I think, is the way our line has looked much improved under Mike Bloesch. He really seems to have the group playing well together and looks like he’s gett

  14. Yeah, their role was much more of a traditional JACK linebacker than a defensive end. They can call it whatever they want as long as the pressure keeps coming.

  15. Absolutely. It has to go both ways. I said the same thing about Bean a few weeks ago too. Glad he kept ready, despite several on here claiming he was pouting on the sidelines. His performance Saturday did not look like a mopey/defeated guy to me.

  16. I’m amazed we’re still having this discussion. This isn’t a “styles” argument. This isn’t about “being hot”. Quarterbacking is about one thing above all else. You have the ball in your hands on every offensive play. You can’t give the ball to the other team. Aune has 8 TD’s (passing and rushing) this year...and 4 INT’s...and 3 fumbles. This after playing pretty much all of the snaps in the Southern Miss and Charlotte games. Jason Bean has 10 TD’s (rushing and passing)...and 1 INT. Bean may not pass your “eye test”, but he passes my “eye-N-T” test.

  17. Now that Vito has predicted a loss, watch the guys win. If that's the case, and Vito predicts another win all season, he needs to immediately have his parking pass revoked permanently. In all honesty, maybe a trip on the road will do the guys some good to re-focus on the game... who knows?

  20. High School talent anyway...remains to be seen if he can make the transition to college ball. Has to take care of business on and off the field in college and no one is all over him telling him how great he is every second. It's a transition. Some "talents" can make that transition, some can't. No idea why this kid is leaving after not even giving it a real go at UNT. I do wish him well and hope he finds a place where he can play and mature into a great college player. Next up!

  22. This Team Aune, Team Bean deal is some strange stuff. People seem to literally have been rooting against QBs on the actual team they’re supposedly rooting for.

  29. If the defense doesn't give away too many more TD's we should win this one. But, I'm going to tap the breaks a little. Middle is pure garbage. The real test is how we play against LA Tech (who has owned us), and UTSA (who played Army tough today). Despite how this season ends, Dardin has been a joy to watch. So, happy for him. I'm glad Bean finally got back on the field. I have to wonder how our games against Charlotte and USM may have turned out. Also, the RB stable is incredible. Hats off to those players and Cobbs. What a job if coaching he is doing.

  33. Would've loved for Burke to have found his home in Denton and enjoyed the college experience there as much as I did. Wishing him the best at his next stop. Anyone know the NT student athlete exit interview process? I hope anyone leaving the program via transfer, graduation, or otherwise is interviewed to keep Wren and his staff aware of the player perspective within the programs.

  35. Yeah only a fraction of our fanbase follows recruiting anywhere near as close as they follow the actual team, so I get it. If you don’t, when you see the struggles it’s like Groundhog Day. Heck, even if you do it kind of feels that way. But this is different. Littrell won those games, he built up the recruiting momentum, and he capitalized by signing better classes than we’ve seen since recruiting has really been tracked online. Firing him before those guys become upperclassmen would be counterproductive. Good chance we’d see a lot of our talent transfer with a one-time sit-out free trans

  37. Leblanc and three DT commits, Dodson, Walker, Rausaw and Pickett at DE (Freshmen), The Twins, Brown, Wood, Johnson at LB, Gaddie, Stout, Norris, Murray, Johnson, Gibbs and Crosby at DB. We are young and talented on D. Now they have to adjust to the new system and mature.

  38. Really glad to see this happening for him! Admittedly I was one of those who questioned his decision to turn pro when he did. Excited it’s working out for him. Timing, team and situation are everything when you sign. Hope he can develop great chemistry with Herbert this year, and that turns into him staying around the Chargers a long while.

  40. Even though the defense was still pretty bad overall. They were the most energized and actually watchable for the first time this year. I saw a lot of the younger guys making plays tonight and that should be what happens the rest of the year. Seth called this year a "free year", so play the younger more talented but low experienced players. Loved the twins flashing tonight, #35 seemed very fast off the ball and was causing the qb to flush the pocket a lot. Nixon was a hard hitting linebacker, he needs to be careful though, I saw a lot of after the snap things that could be unsportsmanlike cond
