Coach can't make the shots. Are we in position to hit the shots? If so, then it is on the players. They will come around. If not, two games is too soon to make a decision.

Based on what I am reading, it so much more than positioning. Guys that should be getting touches, aren't (Tony Mitchell, 4 shots last night). Guys that start making shots are pulled.

This does not sound like it is solely on the players.

Not if they flat out cannot shoot. Problem last year, problem this year.

Which is why we went out and got Overlander who has yet to make a meaningful shot this year. Walton is hurt (bad luck) but we didn't' build this team to knock down threes. We built it on talent and athleticism complemented with a couple shooters. Our gameplan is getting T-Mitch in position to score easy buckets while using J-Will, CJ, et al to keep them honest.

Benford says he wants to get offense from defense and encourages J-Will (and others) to attack the basket so Tony doesn't have to create everything. Is this happening? Well J-Will got in foul trouble for being aggressive against Creighton but was wildly successful against AH. Chris Jones? He has been a no-show for the better part of two games. He made a nice little push late v AH but also was unclutch (missed four freebies) and foul-prone. Everyone has been missing shots and not rebounding as well as they should.

We should be relying on defense and rebounding. We say we do, but that isn't showing.
