  3. I was just trying to clarify what trend you were referencing. The one above, or the potential start of a trend of players from our current roster entering the portal. Thanks for clearing that up.
  4. It's sad we have to rely on social media response to judge a player's buy-in to our program. No loyalty to school anymore, only to $$ for many players. I hate NIL and the Portal!
  5. Today
  6. Agree. The bench was a weak spot for us this past season, especially when we had injuries but couldn't backfill with much. Ross needs to find more players that he has confidence in and allows to actually "play".
  7. We could easily do the PAC, if it has viable media rights and local teams too like in your scenario. North Texas' location allows us to go East or West. $mut would cry if we got a P5 patch too without giving up concessions to get in like they did, lol!
  8. You can as it would be warranted.
  9. WORD... $78 million Designed by HKS, Inc., it was constructed at a cost of $78 million after a student body election in 2008.
  10. Gotta disagree. The whole bball argument isn’t really relevant. They play roughly 30 games and have a 68 team field. yes, it won’t be as dramatic as, you lose more than one and your season is over, but the games still matter. On top of that, by keeping even more teams in it later in the season will bring even more eyes to the games. and soooo much money.
  11. Thanks again Matt. I had a great time. It was very cool of the team to come over and thank us. Rick
  12. What Z said. And if for some reason he wasn't he'd have a long line of big name suitors with deep NIL pockets.
  13. Yes but it's be nice to grab one of those top two seeds who only have to win two games to win the title!
  14. Tough 5-0 loss today but always thought the regular season was more about seedings for the big prize, conference tournament. Win the conference tournament = NCAA tournament bid!
  15. I will not poke fun at you saying you think Edwards will return like an hour before it dropped he was leaving lol, but I am cautiously optimistic about most of the others. Similar to Chandler Rogers, I did not see Jason really publicly engaging with Mean Green nation on social media. Meanwhile Rubin's mom and Aaron's HAVE been, and now even CJ's mom and Cotton's mom, have been big, noticeable parts of UNT Twitter. I feel like they are truly part of the Mean Green family, as much as one can be in the days of the portal and NIL.
  16. This thread really snowballed before I could comment, but I wish Jason the best. But I'm not surprised. Let's see which Kansas JUCO superstar comes to North Texas next....
  17. I hope eventually we fill these spots left by guys like Morgan and Moore with players who can regularly be in the rotation. I'd love to have 10 used guys... they don't all get 10 minutes a game or just garbage time minutes, but 10 guys who can be ready and contribute and provide 20+ minutes if needed due to injuries or foul trouble.
  18. He’s going with Dusty
  19. FAU ties the game up 4-4 in the bottom of the 7th with ECU. Takes another seven for anyone else to score a run. ECU wins 5-4 in 14. Wichita State could have made it a three-way tie for first but lost to Charlotte 4-2 after scoring the first two runs. So UNT doesn't lose any ground, remains tied with FAU at the top of the conference at 8-2. Charlotte and WSU are 7-3.
  20. Not if it compromises our team character and chemistry. (David Jones was the exception on Memphis ).
  21. So you don’t want to see North Texas ranked #10 in the nation based purely on our reputation as a power basketball program?
