. For your listeners, the team’s leading rusher is their QB and that could be a problem. With this D we have sometimes struggled against mobile QBs. I assume this is due to the attacking style which could make containment more difficult when your LBs are charging into the backfield.

How so?

ETA: Or I should say who?

The last two years have been a challenge against running QBs. Several good pass rushes ended up in positive yards for the QB when he broke containment.  Has not really been a huge problem this year, as we have not really faced a mobile QB, maybe LT's but he didn't really need to scramble.

Edit: It hasn't been a glaring weakness this year, but a couple of isolated runs. Last year there are numerous examples.  This year IUW's Copeland had a 16 yard run.  Ark : Jones 15 yard run; Noland 13 yard run

Bottom line is that a true dual-threat like Locksley could pose a threat.

I agree with you I think we've been able to contain much better than in the past. We'll always miss one here or there, but our run D is very VERY good this season and I think that's making a difference with the mobile QBs as they haven't had many opportunities to scramble upfield. Liberty had Buckshot roll out to get out of pressure, and J'Mar could only scramble to the sideline when he could.
