Interesting little quiz to see what party you "identify" with.

Tip: Select "Choose another stance" to see more options for answering each question. Otherwise, answers are limited, and will point you toward typical us/them, right/left, conservative/liberal responses.

Umm...no surprise I guess. I want single-payer healthcare but also eliminate corporate taxes. So...label me. Go for it.

I'd still say that I'd fit way better in with the Liberal Party of Canada, or the Liberal Democrats of Great Britain...both considered centrist parties.

Conservative Party - 85%

Constitution Party - 85%

Republicans - 81%

Democrats - 78%

Green Party - 69%

When I mapped it, it said I am a Centrist but I know i definitely lean towards conservatism on a lot of different issues.

Some of the answers they provided really didn't fit me so many times I went with what I felt was the next best thing.

Conservative Party-92%

Constitution Party-91%

Republicans-91%

Libertarians-85%

Democrats-65%

Green Party-54%

Socialist-9%

I was surprised that my Libertarian percentage wasn't higher and that my republican percentage wasn't slightly lower.

It would be interesting to know where those who rank high on the conservative side rank on the Social Conservatibve / fiscal conservative spectrum.

There was at least one question about the federal budget.

I believe what you are saying is the same thing. Social conservation is the same thing as fiscal conservation...almost. Fiscal conservatives apply libertarian values to the social sector. Where as liberals apply libertarian values to the private sector. So I would say that a social conservative would always be similar on the fiscal conservative side since they are the basically the same thing.

A social conservative would want small-limited governement that would not spend much on entitlements and -in theory- have less regulation. A fiscal conservative would want small-limited government that would not spend much on entitlements and wants less regulation. Both want limited government control in this sector.

The only difference between the two is that the social conservative encompasses more than just spending(fiscal conservative).

something really telling about this group of 99%ers...

So when I call you a socialist, I'm more than half right? ;-)

And you do realize that there isn't that much of a difference between a 91 percenter and a 99 percenter, right?

I think they focus on different issues.

Fiscal conservative - balanced budgets, taxation, reduced government regulation.

Social conservative - abortion, immigration, same-sex marriage

Obviously there is over-lap but I think they are different animals.

I think you are right. My original post I had more so the private sector vs the public sector.
