Nearly a 1000 years ago Europe had Crusades to free the area from Islam ... they are still fighting over it..... don't expect any lasting answer anytime soon.. More people have been killed in the name of various religions (mostly by fanatics) than for any other reason... As long religious fanatics exist ... the killing will take place.... The Mideast is the worst but they haven't had the market cornered on it ... [ Salem trials, Protestant/Catholic wars, Inquisition, Holocaust, Jonestown etc. ]
