'15 WR D'erren Wilson (Dallas Bishop Dunne)

Recommended Posts

6'3" 180 lb receiver for Bishop Dunne. Just transferred there from Greenville High School in Greenville, TX. We are Wilson's 9th offer. Was set to announce his school yesterday but pushed it back and we are now attempting to enter the race. Arkansas State, BYU, and Indiana were believed to be the favorites had he announced, and he plans on visiting those school. Maybe being closer than those schools can help us.

Vito recruiting series:

I've had a gut feeling ever since we offered that we're going to pull this guy. Got some ties to UNT, only in-state school going after him, attractive depth chart at outside receiver, and recruiting coordinator/receivers coach Mike Grant going after him. I think he commits at the Friday night lights camp at the end of the month and we have a great week or two of commits around then.

Here's Wilson's teammate, Shaquille Anderson. A 6'1" 300 lb defensive tackle.

Pretty solid highlights. Needs work on his initial step and pad level among other things, but I was pretty impressed by his highlights. He can move a little for a big guy. He'd definitely be a nose-type kid who eats up blocks, but he also does a good job of making the TFLs. Rather than just drive the o-linemen back. No offers as of yet. Wouldn't mind getting him and Wilson. Still want that Saluone kid out of Utah too.

SMU offered, which may be the end of our chances. Out of his 10 previous offers we were the only in-state FBS offer, and I believe his girlfriend plays basketball for TWU. With SMU in the picture we are the only school who can offer to keep him close.

I would love to tap into bishop dunne they always have a few d1 caliber players

He never actually played for Bishop Dunne. He played for Greenville. He played for Greenville through his junior season, then transferred to Bishop Dunne for the spring 2014 semester but he transferred back to Greenville for the 2014 season. I believe I read he was comuting to Dunne from Greenville.

Shame on our coaches for losing recruits to SMU. SMU is not in the Big 12. No one goes to their games. We beat the F out of them this year and probably will next year, too. They hired a famous Texas high school coach to be their head coach? Yeah, that always works out... Mac needs to man up and go toe to toe with the Ponies in recruiting. We have a lot of advantages over them and should be able to win against them in recruiting atleast as much as we lose.
