'15 LB James Bailey (Lake Travis)

Recommended Posts

6'2" 192 lb outside linebacker from Lake Travis. We offered about a month ago and it's now showing up on scout. Also has offers from Texas State, Iowa State, Nevada, and New Mexico. Those schools are showing up on a lot of our targets' offer lists. Going to need to win these types of battles.

Staying with football, James Bailey joins DeLira in the Fab 5. If you’re looking for a breakout season, Bailey’s likely going to have it. He’s listed as one of the top defensive backs in the state by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.

He’s reported to have interest from Baylor, Texas Tech, North Texas and Tulsa, according to ESPN. Those offers will likely be pouring in before the season’s over.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football held Bailey in high regard, naming him as the favorite to be District 14-6A’s top defensive player. He is also a three-sport athlete, competing on the basketball and track and field teams.

According to reports Bailey now has five offers...Iowa State, Nevada, New Mexico, North Texas and Texas State.

He fits our mold for linebackers. DCTF lists his 40 speed at 4.8, which is a little slow, but who knows how accurate that is? I'd bet he plays faster than that but if that keeps the instate P5s away from offering then so much the better.
