'15 OL Jordan Murray (Coppell)

Recommended Posts

6'9" 350 lb offensive lineman from Coppell. We appear to be his first offer. Very limited highlights (1 play), so he may be entering his first year as a starter, which would also help explain why he's been lightly recruited to this point. Especially at a school like Coppell. Tremendous potential, clearly.

Interested to see what Billy and some others have to say about this giant kid.

I updated his thread in the recruiting forum. I still haven't had a chance to see his senior highlights, since I don't see anything uploaded on his hudl. Although what I posted about his junior highlights was that it was only one-play long. Which means he must not have been a starter his junior year.

Good news is he's huge, at 6'9"+ and over 340 lbs. Bad news is that he played for a metroplex power in Coppell, which has dozens of colleges come through all the time, and only two have thought he was good enough to offer him a scholarship (us and UTEP), despite his size. Could easily be a good pickup if we develop him. Seems about as sure a lock for a redshirt as it gets.

All Jordan has to do is growl real loud, lay down and roll toward the opposite team's line. Y'all remember Ed "Too Tall" Jones of Dallas Cowboy fame? Great pick up, welcome to the Mean Green Nation Jordan. Plan on winning, plan on bowls.

Yes too tall played Defense. He was the original JJ. Swat. This kid's height is a detriment for him to overcome but if he was perfect we would not have landed him.
