Home side looks like it's about a quarter full. The reported attendance was 5k. The home side must hold around 20k.

I know it's hard to gauge attendance when they're not setting up for Tamale Fest or some other city sponsored event. Dedicated football stadiums are a foreign concept But don't give up trying to understand.

I am just asking. I personally have only witnessed a few people doing the caw sound. When people grow up and realize being weird gets them no where in life, they will quit being weird just for the sake of it. Flame away you very few freaks:)

Oh man, I literally could not have said that any better myself.

Unfortunately you're not paying attention to the students. When I was a student back in the late 1990's a certain individual and his group started the caw movement during games. It caught on and It's now taught to incoming freshman. The Green brigade freaking does it during the fight song!

If a crow caw is taught to incoming freshman, then I stand corrected to so many co-workers that constantly make fun of us. I guess they are right, we should just concentrate on playing the flute and writing poetry. What next, some freak will want to adopt a white squirrel as our alternative mascot?

How stupid can it get? But I have to remind myself sometimes that it took us nearly a decade to pull our heads out of our ass and stop using other schools colors so it doesn't surprise me that we're phucking something like this up too.

Have we all forgotten that the damn athletic department used to play that bird screech sound effect at games? Am I the only one that remembers that piercing sound blasting out of the mono speakers at Fouts, along with the left channel audio grunting of "Thunderstruck" and only the Izzy Stradlin guitar parts of "Welcome to the Jungle"? I'm pretty sure that's what the "CAW!" in the fight song is emulating. Didn't they used to do too when we our defense was on a third down?

Nevermind the fact that THAT is not what a Bald Eagle sounds like. It's a Red-tailed Hawk screech.

Bald Eagles make less, well let's just say, less intimidating sounds.

This topic comes up more often than i would have ever imagined. I like how people bitch about people vocalizing support for the program, and then when they do choose to support it you bitch about HOW they do it. I don't care if people are mooing at their lineman, noise is noise. Support is support.
