Track Question

The track and CC team has on it roster, Hollie Emery from Australia who was a world class distance runner. She was also listed on the team last year but I never saw were she competed. Her best times in 2009 are much better than any woman at NT has ever run. Again she did not compete in CC this year. Does anyone know the story on her? It is very strange inasmuch as she was one of the best young runners in the world three years ago than kind of disappeared to resurface at NT, but as far as I can tell only to get her team picture taken.

Yes, she is a quality runner and will set records if she runs like she has in the 5 and 10k, she does not have the speed or power to set records in the mile or under. To answer your question Hollie is on the team and she is training as a member of the team. She has had to sit out a couple seasons due to ncaa sanctions she has had placed on her - she won a substantial amount of money before coming to UNT. She will race on the UNT team for the first time half way through this indoor season.

Hopefully she can preform like she did a couple years ago.

Great news, thanks for the information if she runs anywhere close to what she has; she should set a lot of records at NT.
