I am not looking to start a fight, though I am sure it is inevitable. I am just curious if those here have changed their thoughts one direction or the other towards man-made global warming. From my casual observations, it seems that more people believe but less people care.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

It's possible; there have been warming cycles throughout history. The ripoff is how much is man-made and how much of it could be corrected after trillions of dollars of expenditures. Also, if it's truly global are all of the countries willing to pony up to correct the estimated 4-6% that could possibly be altered?
Where do you get this figure? It's really difficult to get an accurate estimate of global monetary supply, but my best guess would be somewhere between 14 and 20 trillion dollars.
Every time I see this TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS!! I realize that global warming, obamacare, social security and welfare are eating up several times the amount of money that exists in the world, and I can't help but think of Dr. Evil demanding $100 trillion in 1967 to a very amused United Nations.
I won't argue for or against any of these things being prohibitively expensive, but they don't require the totality of money in existence.

The figure came from one of the think tanks on line. I believe that the number was in the area of 3+trillion dollars based on all of the changes that Algore said that were needed. I do recall that it was not a one-time expenditure but over a period of time. It was still mind-boggling because our national debt hadn't quite reached the first trillion as I recall.
My point is that even if global warming were true 1) there is little that we can do about it, 2) the cost would be prohibitive and 3) we couldn't go it alone. I'm with Long Jim on this in that global warming is a hoax. It was designed to make certain people a lot of money. It seemed to work for their now billionaire spokesman. Is an "inconvenient truth" the same as a convenient lie?
I usually don't come to this forum because it only gets my blood pressure up and it's high enough already.

Maybe and it might have had something to do with global warming. You think? Didn't you have a recent birthday, son? If so, I missed it again...what the heck kind of Dad am I?
